Suggestion for improving the "Elevated Compassion" Trait for the Revenant class.

Dear developers and Guild Wars 2 community,

I would like to draw your attention to some aspects of the "Elevated Compassion" Trait for the Revenant class, which was introduced in the latest updates. This trait has the potential to become an even more important and interesting gameplay element for the Revenant, but there are some misunderstandings that are worth considering.

The crux of the issue is this: in order to activate quickness with this trait, you must maintain an upkeep level of 6 energy. Previously, it was necessary to wait 3 seconds after reaching this threshold for quickness to take effect. In the latest changes, this period has been reduced to 1 second. However, even with this improvement, there remains some inconvenience in using this mechanic.

We propose the following change for the "Elevated Compassion" Trait, which would make this trait more attractive and functional:

Suggestion: Make quickness immediately activate when upkeep reaches 6 energy, without waiting 1 second. This would integrate this point more seamlessly into Revenant gameplay, providing a faster and more dynamic play experience.

We believe this change will make Revenant a more attractive class and raise the interest of the upkeep mechanics. It will also make battles more dynamic and varied for players who choose this class.

We hope that the developers will accept this.

Sincerely , this trait is completely busted right now , i use it in instanced content and even in open world , ... whats better ? +10-15% damage ? little buff to your f2 ? or being freaking able to maintain quickness with your two fingers and share it on a 600 range ! (not even counting the free + 300 concentration and the tic of healing)

While your small change will not change the way ppl play it , it's really really not necessary , it's 1.75 each sec meaning that over alone 18 sec of -6 maintenace cost maintained you reach 30 sec , sincerly it doesnt need any change , i would even understand a nerf to it , like 13% vita conversion going to 10 or even 7.

Please no more buffs to elevated compassion. This trait is completely overloaded right now. Imo they should even just remove the free power>Concentration converter from it.

On the other hand, it should heal more in wvw/pvp and maybe grant a very low amount of quickness instead of vigor.

vigor is better then quickness for pvp/WvW, leave that one be lol. Support wise atleast. If they would add quickness in these modes, it would be eitherway too OP or underpowered. It is for these modes too hard to balance, so rather some vigor sharing on high upkeep for team support

The problem is that there is no point in waiting a second after reaching 6 energy. That is, the first tick should be immediate upon reaching 6 energy.

As for the 600 range, you can't do less because the quickness is not applied immediately and you need some time. The 600 range allows you to balance this. Therefore, you should not complain about a large range.

This seems like a total nitpick, especially since most other quickness classes have both (far) less range and also have cast times on their quickness/alacrity skills. Having to wait a whopping ONE SECOND to have the easiest and best quickness generation in the game is not an issue. Plus once you have applied it you should be maintaining it 100% of the time after, so you only have to pay the "CD" for the quickness once, right at the beginning of the fight. This is 10000% a skill issue if you're not maintaining 99.9% quickness uptime on Herald and the "1s of downtime" at the beginning does not contribute to this at all.

This is a baffling request honestly when there are so many other things that could be improved on. Like the level of irrelevance to this change is insane

This is not a nitpick, but a suggestion for improvement. This one second delay does not affect, absolutely nothing. And I believe that it requires improvement. It is not such a big task for the developer as you think.

Perhaps you don't understand. I'm not interested in how many percent of quickness is imposed on allies. A quickness with a 1 second wait still has 100% quickness on allies. And it's not because the skill is strong, it's because the quickness is overlaid in parts and all the time. If you think that this makes the Herald a strong and sought after support, then I will disappoint you, Guardian is preferred almost everywhere.

Firebrand is mostly preferred out of a combination of habit and still working well enough that groups with firebrands still do fairly well. The top-end players seem to have a broad agreement that herald is the better quickness support unless you have a specific need for something on firebrand (and even then, with stability and aegis becoming more available on other support builds, you might be able to have your alac support cover it). It's a case where the difference between current first place and former first place is small enough that people who were already comfortable with the latter don't feel the need to switch, except possibly if they're going for HTCM.
