Merging NA with EU

Dear arenanet and fellow players,

I run a full guild and we have some players from EU and most of them are NA.
Nowadays the lag is not that much since times are evolving and I really wish for NA and EU to merge together so we can play together.
For running guild events this is a dire situation.

If merging the two world servers to one megaserver is not able is it then a good idea for people from NA and EU to be able to meet eachother in the guildhall?

That way me and my guildies are able to atleast do some non-meta guild events together.

Yes, I want to participate in player organised events in EU. This has been requested few times so I doubt it will ever happen 🙁

Maybe they can use a datacenter midway in the Atlantic, like Iceland technically is on both continents.

Don't know, if it would be much better, doesn't look like Iceland has a lot of direct cable connections, especially to NA.

Just to add this, I'm against the idea of removing one region, as at least I and I guess many other players too wouldn't be happy about about suddenly having 200%+ higher latency.

No, biggest part of playerbase gets the server.

I'm sorry but na is dead in comparison to eu, if anything we doing you a favor by accepting the merge refugees

Edit: Don't u confuse emoji on me, it's a fact, na is tiny and basically dead in all game modes.

NA got less than 80k players than EU based on gw2efficiency
NA spvp queue time is a good proof that it got lower player base

NA Prime queue time: 4 minutes, and 15 minutes++ in dead hour
EU Prime queue time: Instant - 2 minutes, and less than 6 minutes in dead hour

There are lags in pve? Only experience that in wvw.

I'm all for merging.
More real people on maps at unpopular times 😄

Just implement the GW1 system. Switch your region how you need and like on the fly.
