Some Shiro tweak ideas

Enchanted Daggers

- can be recasted to consume all remaining daggers to heal for up to 4200 HP. 700~ HP heal per dagger consumed.

or

- can be recasted to launch all the daggers at your target, dealing the siphon damage and heal if they hit their target. 

 

Jade Winds

- Ignores Blind Condition

- Unblockable

Yea that's just a huge issue with having something cost 50 Energy in general.

They did try to give it huge damage though, but clearly not enough to warrant using it at all.

Idea to add on Jade winds in all content modes.

•Jade Winds: Aside the effects it already does, you now also gain max 2 lifesteal enchanted daggers if you hit an enemy, doesn't stack with more.

These 2 enchanted daggers are unblockable and each can steal 1 one of the following boons (protection, resolution, quickness, 2 stability stacks)

in WvW and PvP Jade Winds should be less energy too, for these parts 35 is fine, to make it not too spammy. It would have more reliable useage then. 

And Phase traversal in PvP should be 25 energy, since it already has a long enough cd. In WvW 30 energy instead of 35 energy, since 5 seconds cd still but more manageable for overall energy useage.

Honestly feel like Energy Dump Elite design for Revenant should be reconsidered in the future. Out of all Legends, only Shiro and Jalis are the ones left who have Energy Dump Elites.

While Jalis does confer unique properties like giving your 5 man stack 50% damage reduction, which does stack with Protection with diminishing returns mind you, making it a relatively powerful Elite skill, Shiro on the other hand only does damage, vuln and CC. (and let's not forget you do no damage for CC skills in competitive anyway) 

So there are two directions for Shiro's Elite: 

1. Make the skill more impactful, justifies its energy cost.

2. Rework the skill into being less impactful but more strategic in nature, shaves down energy cost. 


Some ideas for both: 

1. Jade Winds

- Deals initial damage and stunning enemies

- leaves behind a Lightning Field that inflicts conditions and damage per tick (Vulnerability and Cripple)

2. Echoing Banishment

- 900 range, marks your target with a Death Mark and Stuns them for 1 second. (or 300 Defiance Damage) 

- 30 Energy 

Death Mark

- Your next attack against the target rips up to 3 boons and deals bonus damage. (Damage is a 2nd instance of damage that can also trigger on-hit effects similar to Impossible Odds)

Gonna throw in a Devastation tweak in here as well: 

Battle Scarred reverted to Jade Echo 

Jade Winds changed to:

Mediation of the Reaper

Enter a defensive stance, blocking attacks for 2 seconds. Max attacks blocked 5 

Unleash a burst of energy, stealing life and inflicting enemies with Conditions based on how many attacks taken.

Life Siphon Damage per attack blocked: 500 

Life Siphon Healing per attack blocked: 100

3 stacks of Vulnerability per attack blocked

600 Radius, 5 Targets

Actually, he wasn't an Assassin. They randomly gave him the title "Legendary Assassin" when in the trailer and lore, he straight up openly X'd the emperor infront of bodyguards and servants. Also, he only got the chance to do so because he was the Emperor's trusted warrior and bodyguard, meaning he did nothing remotely "assassin" to even get near his target.

He should really be retitled to "Legendary Betrayer"

ahhhh, and I also found where you got the inspiration from some attacks he does. Would it be the same cd and lower energy cost then in ur opinion?

Probably 30 - 40 Energy since it's a Block and can steal up to 2500 health. Then again, I'm not a balancing numbers genius, but had to throw some numbers up anyway.

35 would be fine inbetween I guess.

It would make jade winds more useable all around. The damage/heal in pve would probably a lot higher

On another note: Centaur can use a QoL update to be similar to Specter and Shade. Make their Tablet skills aside from their basic healing pulse also pulse from the Revenant. This has been a long standing issue with Centaur in that they have to sacrifice supporting the stack to expand their range of healing and since Anet refuses to give us a solid ranged healing weapon, this simple QoL would straight up make Centaur and Heal Revenant in general just BETTER.

I'm pretty sure GW1 did specify that he was an assassin by class in his first life. Now, being an assassin by class does not mean that he was actually an assassin by trade - what we know of his life seems to indicate that before becoming the emperor's bodyguard he was an adventurer who happened to use the same skillset as assassins, and his role as a bodyguard was probably similar to willbenders in being able to use shadowsteps to quickly intervene against threats. But the label fits.

When we fight him in GW1, he's also been augmented by the powers he gained as a rogue envoy, but assassin-like mobility is still a significant part of his toolkit, which is reflected in the skills associated with his legend and weapons in GW2.

Here's a wild idea:

Unrelenting Assault swaps with Phase Traversal

Phase Traversal (sword)

- 900 range Shadowstep, dealing damage

- Grants Quickness, additional Quickness on striking a target

- 15 Energy

- 10s Cooldown

Unrelenting Assault (Shiro)

- Evades while shadowstepping to enemies within 600 radius, striking them. 

- Up to 5 strikes, 5 targets

- Grants Might on striking a target

- Unblockable

- 5s cooldown

- 30 Energy

 

Wilder Idea:

Impossible Odds

- 25 Energy

- All attacks for the next 7s strike for an additional hit

- Grants Superspeed on cast

Unrelenting Assault (upkeep -6)

- Evades while shadowstepping to targets rapidly, striking them

- gain Might when you strike a target

- Striking the same target debuffs you with a stack of Exhaustion, increasing the upkeep cost by 1 until you release the Upkeep or you run out of Energy
