The more you cry about DE..the more will play it

I played a wild game the other day. Two sniper DE with lots of other DPS floating around. We had a close game for most of it but people were able to target the DEs soon after they were visible. Still a lot of people went insta down.

The pressure was pretty high but the overall game wasn’t a wipe. We held our own and overcame the ranged pressure to beat them back. It wasn’t unfair to fight them once we adjusted to their abilities.

FYI:

  • Stealth res is very effective against DE that doesn’t have cleave.
  • Use immobilize on DE and they can’t use their dodge stealth.
  • Counter ranged pressure reduces DE damage significantly.
  • Traps on point and using los is a great way to make DE useless outside of a team fight.
  • DE generally lacks defense against reflects so use those and dodge DJ to avoid 80% of their damage from range. In melee you have a better chance of catching them and downing them.
  • Downed or dead to DE? Call targets on DE to help your team quickly counter pressure. You are (sometimes) more helpful that way.

Meanwhile a Thief playing basically any melee build can prevent a DE from doing absolutely anything. I personally don't mind seeing them on the other team around at all.

Very good advice there as well. Deadeyes cannot sustain any pressure, just looking at them forces them to run away most of the time (specially at lower ranks where many still run Zerker).
