Nabbut.7480
so it would be feasible to revive them midfight.
whoeverxwins.1279
I've managed to rez groups of NPCs with guardian or necro rez skills. I suspect they don't have as much vitality as players who simply get partially rezzed if they are completely downed.
Westenev.5289
I think giving npc's a downed state would be kind of neat (kinda like the toxic alliance npc's), but it still wouldn't be overly practical since NPC's can't even perform as adequate cannon fodder. Lexi.1398
things like war banner and spirit of nature work to res dead npcs, though these types of abilities are very limited and not accessable by ...i think most classes actually. though it would amuse me to see illusion of life used on an npc. Nabbut.7480
I've managed to keep NPC alive in big battles like Claw Island with AoE heal stuff like Guardian shout, but in boss fights like Assault on Svanir Dome it doesn't works because of instakill so downed state would be neat indeed. kharmin.7683
I haven't felt that the NPCs provide enough to be worth the time and effort of rezzing them.
Nabbut.7480
My point exactly; with downed state they will be, if only for the roleplaying reasons.

SoftFootpaws.9134
All intelligent creatures should have a downstate, really. It is not only more immmersive, but slightly more challenging, and allows ArenaNet to sell finishers to PvE players, which I think its an untapped potential of income. I don't think giving every enemy npc downed state will be welcomed by the community, the forum will be flooded with complaints about how combat are slower now, imagine fighting trash mob but having to finish EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!You could say "well, just keep hitting them!" But...wouldn't it be better for them to just fall down and die?Plus people like me just use basic finisher since we don't care about fancy flashy effect, we want the combat to be over withMad King's Lab and pretty much every meta events will be empty because of this
