What endgame content was added in PoF?

New raids and fractals are coming but later. Just like in HoT you didn't get them on release.

Does escorting an NPC around Riverlands while he does his thing for a short while count as a map meta event? Because that is an event I just completed. Nobody else around doing the event. Terrible rewards. This is the type of early game even I see in the GW2 vanilla maps.

I don't understand why people are raising an issue with this.

A.) This isn't WoW - the whole game is end game content.

B.) The system that makes sense is to have expansions focused on adding a large amount of explorable content - exactly what we got for PoF. For the most part, map wide metas are not only unnecessary, but they can actually undermine the sense of journey and exploration that anchors the game, which was something a lot of people complained about with HoT. The Living World provides a perfect vehicle for adding smaller scale maps with "end game content" like map wide metas that require a lot of organization and good rewards - which I'm sure is exactly what we're going to get with season 4.

They did it right this time, and I'm grateful we got exactly what we got with PoF. Although, they dropped the ball not adding land spears, dungeons, and/or world bosses (though bounties kind of count for this).

Honestly there is none. It's more like core Tyria, you run around doing events, killing stuff, enjoying the maps. But there is really only 1 long run goal, the 2 achievements with the Order of Shadow and that's all there is.However, they said next living story is rolling soon, so I guess we will have more farming there.

At the moment someone did tell you what is coming. However I think the only thing in pof end content at the moment is the bounties. And no the escort is not counted as end content. So far POF end content is bounties, pof skins and armor. Map completion, which involves hp's and getting all masteries. Just getting the new pof skins are long enough to waste time till you get the new stuff maybe within a month. Which wil be the raids and fractals. And then a living world season 4 episode. However before you decide your done. Finishing pof with which each class gives a new achievement. ANd finishing all hps for every class is considered content to do. Which i doubt most people finished. To finish 9 different classes with story mode and finish all hps for each to get all elites. Yea i doubt people did that. So asking what to do. Do that and before you know added content will be there.

On the contrary, the game has very well defined endgame at this point. I dare to say, game shifted from "afk in LA" endgame to "nothing substantial but endgame".

Because people have different tastes and expectations.

This is absolutely wrong statement. GW2 at this point has very significant endgame portion. Just to mention: raiding, ranked pvp or serious WvW guilds.

People complained about HoT becaused it offered nothing but meta events, meanwhile anet, as usualy, overreacted to complaints giving us nothing but exploration in PoF. This expansion is very good, but it's merely one time experience with no reason to come back after initial walkthrough.

Healthy expansion would be balanced approach to exploration, organised meta events and instanced content. It doesn't matter which type of content you like, it is absolutely shortsighted to cater to only one group of players.

No they didn't, explained above. Please don't state your personal tastes as universal truth because this type of approach only hurts the game in a long run.
