Can't wait to welcome you back. Speaking strictly for myself, I understand the feeling of needing and wanting a sense of community. Hopefully the economy will get better and you'll be back in the game soon!

Thanks very much.

Hope to see you ingame soon.

For once this crisis had a positive effect, you missed this shameful saga, it's a gift believe me.

At least you keep a positive image of guild wars

I've been playing since the early days of guild wars 1 so for 16 years and wish I had never seen that. It was awful.

That bad?

WoW

Well, thanks for your oppinion/Info.

Therapy does not cost tens of thousands so that person has no idea what he’s talking about.

One sessions, on average, costs a hundred dollars. If you have more than ten sessions then you spent more on therapy than on a gaming computer. Therapy that addresses and helps with serious issues needs way more than ten sessions. If it's a personality disorder or a major disturbance of executive functioning, you are looking at years if therapy. If you attend just one session a week and we use that hundred dollar average cost for it then a year will cost you 5200 dollars. The usual recommendation, especially when starting therapy, is to attend twice a week since each session lasts only an hour or two hours at the very best but that will cost you 10400 dollars.

Living in a country with socialized healthcare isn't a guarantee for treatment either. It's quite common, especially in the poorer countries, that the "free" mental healthcare provided is either bottom of the barrel quality or not available nearly as often as it is needed to actually be effective. Sometimes both apply. So you are either stuck with substandard care or you go private and pay out of pocket. Of course, the average person can't afford going private.

It's easy to tell people to get therapy. That takes the responsibility off the shoulders of society. Why reach out to your fellow human and try to support them when you can just tell them to get therapy? Accessible mental healthcare is underfunded and understaffed in the entire world. Even more so than regular healthcare.

@SoulGuardian.6203 Keep on keeping on. You'll get back into the game in no time. The living story progressed at a snail's pace and the expansion doesn't seem anywhere near completion so you should have no trouble catching up and rolling into Elona on launch day.

Well, Covid and layoffs happened, so while I'm sure they had grand plans for IBS some things had to be scrapped/truncated.

Oh well.

There's always Final Fantasy, I suppose.

Maybe I'll get into casino games and spend my cash there.

Then I'll become addicted to them, and then I will really need therapy... because apparently I already do. 😂😉

Same $h** different smell.

Haha.

The things you have to read in forums, right?

We come here showing appreciation for the game and company and end up getting insulted.

Funny thing is that my playstation stopped working too... so I had almost nothing to keep me occupied.

My brother let me borough his, so that's what I've playing.

Current situation is bad enough as it is.

I come here to the GW forums to feel a bit of sense of community, which is better than nothing at all; you know?

I'm not being funny. This is just an observation, but maybe it's because GW2 is now in a different generation, but I find GW1 original community, or most anyways, were a lot friendlier.

I made many friends in GW1.

One of them by the name of Stella Man.

He helped me out a great deal in GW1.

We'd spend many hours until 3AM or 4AM, and simetimes even later than that playing together.

He sped ran me from prophecies to TEotN the first time around.

But anyways, thanks for that.

I think GW is the game I spent more hours in.

... and I have 600 hours of FF12, and double that in Command & Conquer, and maybe Resident Evil 2-4,  including Code Veronica.

Not to mention hundreds more hours on other PS titles.

Man I've spent countless hours on some PS titles... Not so much anymore with my 3 yo around...

If its a PS1 or PS2 that broke, then you get get a PS2 second hand for pretty cheap.

Life outside your door is not all it's cracked up to be.  It's all the same were ever you go just in a different colour. And people, 99.9% of which or out to con, use or rob you.

Narr, games are much better.  Rl is kitten.  Even the sex is better in games.

You're right. Except maybe that last bit. Haha.

Thanks for you post buddy.

Insurance covers therapy. The real issue is finding therapists who are actually helpful.

Good luck with the job and hope you make it back. And just ignore the naysayers.  We all do what we have to go get through the night. Some people drink, some people pray, some people play games. If I had to see a therapist for every vice I had I'd never have time to post. lol

Anyway best of luck and hope to see you in game.

Exactly.

If we went to therapy over the most benign things, we'd spend half the time there and we couldn't afford it.

It's utter nonsense telling someone they need therapy because they say they love a game.

I smoke cigarettes, maybe I need therapy for that too, along with half the world's population.

But hey, what do you say to that?

Gotta laugh it off.

Well, thanks for your oppinion/Info.

I think the word '' bad'' is not strong enough to express how I feel. It was abominable, the lore was trashed and the content accumulated all the most negative points of guild wars 2

However, I have really been a huge fan of this franchise for 16 years, I am passionate about all the lore of guild wars but there, it's just impossible to find positive points (apart from the prologue).

But I understand your desire to replay and I hope you will have a lot of fun in the next expansion hoping arena doesn't destroy cantha ..
