Soul bind ranks.

Soul bind ranks and either give a plus amount to all attributes or a lump sum to assign. That would make ranks actually mean something and help mono class players survive the onslaught of the flavor of the month players each balance brings.

They used to be that way. It was much hated.

As Chaba stated, it use to be like that in the beginning. It was very restrictive and basically did not encourage you to play other characters, this was back when masteries cost more points. Meaning to rank was all gone the moment people stepped foot into eotm and ktrained their way to 10k ranks anyways.

allow us to choose the rank to show if we get to that lvl like that of titles. =)

can just agree, we had soulbound ranks and it was not cooli have a warrior for each race, because sometimes i get bored of the look of one, do you want me to rank up each and everyone?

This would be the eqvivalent of soulbinding the wallet in PvE.

Meaningless and frustrating. We dont need it back.

Soul binding is an ancient system that should be left in the past, everything these days should be account bound... everything.

Why we don't want it back:

• You had to grind ranks for wvw masteries or each alt, which does take quite awhile; until then,....
• You got kicked from siege weapons for not having traited for that weapon
• You were the first target of enemy groups on your new class, so you die before learning to play it, which meant...
• You were the rallybot for enemy groups, which would turn the tide of any fight into your enemies' favor,
• So you ended up playing edge of the mists for weeks on end just to get your masteries and not die so much

Ah yes, the good/bad 'ol days when ppl would claim to have "fair" fights when one had them and the other did not.
