  1. Change it back, the previous version was better in my opinion. It feels out of place.
  2. I really hope they change it back, was also against this ridiculous change. I don't see how it was a problem in pve, if it was because of pvp or wvw they should learn to counter or block projectiles.
  3. I preferred the channeled animation better instead of another leap skill. Why change a unique skill animation that no other class has to something similiar to other leap skills. Also, why that skill in particular was it overpowered or did people complain about it. They should have given earthquake a new animation or lack thereof.
  4. Alacrity and quickness kill this game.
  5. The first class I logged into after the patch was my scourge and the shade nerf is terrible and ineffective. What is the point of having three shades when you can only summon one or two before they disappear.
  6. Don't like the change to unstable bladestorm, I liked it as a projectile.
  7. I honestly think they should release just the cooldowns since it is the majority of the patch and rethink the rest. Elementalist- I don't like the change to churning earth, I understand giving it more mobility, but it is a unique charging skill that is being replaced by similar skills. I like the expanding field aspect, why are you getting rid of the pulse and channeled skills in this game. Also, the skill is called churning earth not leap and smash. The skill that should be changed and looked at is earth quake because it has a boring animation and is not an earthquake. I have been waiting for a change to that skill forever a simple jump up and knockdown is very lackluster for a skill called earthquake. Focus skills and conjured weapons need to be looked at. The elite skills also need a review but are never looked at or changed. Seriously, give catalyst a useful elite skill. Necromancer- Everything in this patch for Necro is wrong, I always felt that Necro was the one to corrupt boons while Mesmer was the class to get rid of the boons because of its denial aspect also spell breaker. I don't like the change to life siphon, another skill being changed to a single button press. I don't like anything really about necro in this patch, so I'll leave it as that. Mesmer -Feel the same about it as Necro, removing the identity of the class which sucks because the light armor classes are my favorite. Don't like the changes to mirage or virtuoso. Why take off the block to bladeturn requiem, what good will it be now. Also, I don't like the change to unstable bladestorm, once again very unique aoe skill projectile being replaced by being ground targeted. They did the same thing to dust devil for Ele, the only thing I wanted changed was the speed slowed down alittle because it was too quick not a ground targeted skill like all the rest. At least give us the option for it to be a projectile in the grandmaster traits because the Virtuoso traits suck and are just blade stocking traits.
  8. The entire patch is awful imo, I don't like the majority of these changes. Why aren't you looking at buffing skills or pets that haven't been touched since launch. Instead, it's constant nerfing of skills that don't need to be messed with. Ranger pets need an overhaul, Revenant hammer needs attention, Elementalist air skills are still garbage as well as the catalyst elite , Utility skills across the board need to be looked at, Guardian sceptor is weak, and I could go on and on. Removing what makes these classes unique for two boons that I could care less about is not a good direction I want to see this game go and I have been playing since the beta.
  9. How exactly are you trying to make this game accessible for new players when some of the decisions you are making counter that. The classes are imbalanced and new players will eventually find out. You are getting ready to launch this game on steam and all it takes is negative reviews about bad balance is in this game to turn people off. I know some people don't care about that but for certain modes like pvp or end game content it can make people want to avoid this game.
  10. I'm currently unable to play due to the latest patch or it seems that way considering everything was working prior to the patch. After I logged in to play about a few minutes in, it crashes.
  11. The people that are defending them aren't even addressing the real problem which was the leak from the dev but are only talking about the patch itself and the death threats which is deflection. Years go by and it's the same story all over again nothing changes for the better at least for Ele which I stated I play in a previous post. My question is how many more years and patches will it take for this class to see some positive changes. It's getting old and tiring seeing this class be the joke of your game. As a person who plays casually since it was released and spent money on this game from the gem store, I wouldn't blame casuals or all the community which I always see in the reddit and from streamers, those casuals that you talk badly about fund the game that you are playing. The streamers defend Anet because they are partnered and one sided when it comes to content, they don't pay for gems or anything because they get it free from their followers or Anet. All I'm saying don't bite the hand that feeds you, even though i'm one person I have no problem taking my money elsewhere.
  12. I don't understand how they want people to play high end content/raids then give us a patch like this. If anything, I will stay far away from that content.
  13. When you are only seeing negative and memes to the class you play patch after patch, how do you think people are going to respond. As an elementalist since beta, it seems they just chip away at this class while laughing. Things are never touched or improved on and it's just a whirlpool of garbage. I play casually since beta but i know how to play Ele and understand how to utilize my skills. I think because this is the only class that requires a high learning curve you can see a huge disconnect between the hardcore speedrunners doing higher damage than causals. It's mindboggling how this class gets stuck with tradeoffs and nerfs (some are justified) but other classes breeze through everything and people defend it while laughing at this class.
  14. Having the same problem since the last update. I will have to wait until the next update to see if it is fixed because it is unplayable for me at the moment. This happened to me years ago where I had stopped playing because it was so bad, then came back months later and it was fixed and haven't really had an issue since then to where it was unplayable until recently. This is extremely rare situation for me since it's usually fine.
  15. The lag is making the game unplayable for me atm. I hardly have an issue with it since playing at launch but there was one time I had to stop for a while because it was bad. I hope I don't have to stop again but what worries me is as excited I am for new players to join the game; I worry about the performance that will impact my experience.
  16. It's awful, but nothing about the catalyst is fun, though that is my opinion. I don't mind the sphere, but the fact that you have a nice animation that does nothing but provide boons and field make it boring alongside boring stat and aura traits plus useless utility skills. The hammer animations are horrible also, the only skill that I like and feels right on the hammer is Hurricane of pain everything else feels off and clunky/slow. Also, no knockdown on hammer/earth doesn't seem right.
  17. Please fire the balance team working on Elementalist.
  18. I wish they could have made this spec the way the revenant does its legends. Give us access to only two elements that we could swap out and give them weapon swap as well.
  19. It's funny when I think of a mage/caster class I think ranged not melee. I have no problem with melee, but I find the hammer skills to be boring. I would have thought it would be like Thor with really strong powerful attack animations, but they seem weak and reused animations. Also, the auto attacks on fire and earth don't match, they feel out of place. Sorry for going a little off topic but if we get melee at least buff or rework the ranged weapons we do have they seem dated.
  20. I wish they would go back and rework a lot of skills. It feels like they are still stuck in 2012 with a lot of the content. The balance has been atrocious for elementalist and is nothing but a running joke at this point. I'm playing another game that recently came out and their mage class is considered to be good compared to the one we get here.
  21. They spoke about breaking the rules with this set of specializations but maybe the rules shouldn't have been broken.
  22. It just started happening to my sylvari as well. I wonder if other people experienced it. It is starting to get annoying especially just standing and not in combat hearing it randomly.
  23. I like how people are defending the catalyst because of numbers that will eventually get nerfed by the time it launches. Numbers are going to be changed throughout its cycle but the design and having to manage so much on this class will stay the same. The excuses people are giving is laughable because elementalist shouldn't have to work twice as hard on a low hp class to get mediocre damage while heavy and medium armor do less work providing better damage just at the press of a button (not buttons). The fact that they have a trait line just to build up stats instead of giving it to minor trait is garbage and laziness. Everything you have to manage on this class is like trying to get a strike every time from bowling because you have to micromanage a lot to get the full benefit of the damage.
  24. I found virtuoso very easy to play but it got boring very quicky because it was so easy. Elementalist and Mesmer are my mains so I'm a little disappointed at the outcome of both. The visuals are nice but I wanted a longbow on one of the light armor classes. I kind of wish they swapped catalyst and virtuoso in that virtuoso got a little more complex. It would have been nice to have a bard/music class, like in another game that is coming out next year. Also, I know people wanted a clone less espec but I wish they would have given the Mesmer a holograms/projections theme. I know the holosmith uses light holograms and the jade sphere from catalyst is a projection, so why not give the Mesmer hologram versions instead of clones and create a theme around that.
