I already had 3 sets of legendary armor made due to enjoying wvw.... that said, I am an AP hunter, so while working on the 100 convergences for the achiev, I ended up having far too many essences clogging up my bank. So I made the medium set as it was the only one I liked. Being the pack rat that I am, I pretty much had everything other then the map currency from the Soto maps. Now that my armor is made... I really have no interest in going back to Soto maps because they just aren't all that fun. I can almost guarantee you I will have no interest in the added grind that is coming when they release the Tier 2 visuals. The insane amount of crap needed to make the 1st tier is a tad overboard and then having to grind all over again just for some extra flash? yeah, no thank you to that.

All you can do is report them for botting and move on... you won't see any quick action though. After awhile you just kinda give up cause you will be reporting them constantly in wvw.

OP didn't ask for the most cost efficient way... just asking if you could use the Armor/Weapons to make research notes. I was simply answering that yes you could.

You can definitely get research notes from the ascended chests... I always pick Zojja's stat ones and have zero issues getting notes from them.. no need to mystic forge them at all. works for both the armors and the weapons from the WV.

Same issue here... its only counting as 1 event out of the 10 required for the map.. the actual meta isn't working as intended

When everyone goes up top platform to fight the tentacles there are usually a handful of people who go down to fight the spire ones... you can do both parts at the same time. If you arent seeing any targetable on the spire it means they have been cleared already. Almost every time I have done this meta I tend to head down and to clear the spire and there are usually 3-5 other people with the same mindset so it helps speed things up a bit

I'm mainly a solo player and I haven't had many issues that I couldn't work through with a bit of patience or asking for help in local chat. 37.5k AP, 26 legendary weapons made, All legendary trinkets, 4 sets of legendary armor (2 sets of medium cause I liked the new one so I had to make it) All Mounts unlocked. Again, barely had any issue doing all of these solo... and I should also add I don't use addons like Blish or whatnot, I play the game vanilla Sounds to me like you just expect the game to give you stuff without you putting in any sort of effort. This isn't a mobile game that a monkey could play. Something gives me a sneaky suspicion that you just expected this game to be exactly like the one you came from and you're upset because its not the same at all.

Still broken for me..... figured they would have fixed this by now seeing as the wizard's vault is a "new feature" Looks bad on Anet for letting bugs like this go through. Do they not do quality checks anymore on stuff they push out anymore?

Same here.... can't click on the end chest for completing dailies at all

Had 6 keys saved up from doing my weekly key farm toon.... got the armor in 3 keys. Sometimes you get lucky... sometimes you dont... this time luck was on my side for it. Keep in mind if you dont get the armor that it will eventually be able to buy it for 60 BL statues once it rotates on the vendors list in a few weeks if you dont manage to unlock it with keys

Its already bad enough with the lazy people doing the bare minimal on skyscales and turtles. If they were to implements something like this is would be the last straw for me and I would quit the game after 12 years. If you want to be a pirate, there are several games out there (mmo and single players) that allow you to do just that... We don't need that sorta junk here. Big ol' downvote for me on this terrible idea to be quite honest... I don't know which is the worst suggestion here... combat skiff or a water WvW map

Same bug.... stuck at 10/100 even though I have most done.

I find them incredibly useful when doing things like dailies.... you can pop it up at say a vista... then go work on something else in the map say a Heart or whatnot.. then use the wp to get back without having to walk to the vista. As others have said its useful for those tougher metas where death means a long race to get back into the fray... saves you the legwork to get back to the fight. Could it be better? yes of course it could ie being able to use it across different maps.. but its an EoD feature... so it wasnt super well thought out and seems like it was a rushed feature

still broken I see.... hope they get this fixed before the week is up. Who knows how long it will be before the map comes up again in the terrible rotations

OP you do know the game is 11 years old right? its not going to run the same as a new game. Be thankful its still up and getting new content this far down the road. What you are asking is really unreasonable

I'm well aware how it works... and no, I do mainly public instances... I do not coordinate with discord/guild groups or jump into groups that are tagged and properly split (those ones are even easier). Just a group of randoms that show up come convergence time and hit the public one. They aren't hard to do. Most of the time the issue would be too many people just expecting everyone else to carry them (ie skyscale fireballers). These have been out for a good while now, so most folks should know the mechanics by now, if folks feel the need to only hit 1 and afk while they watch netflix then they really dont have my sympathy if the instance fails.

60+ convergences done and I dont understand why people are having issues with Sorrow.... just run orbs to zojja to keep her healed and you are golden. I am assuming the folks having issues are in instanced with a ton of afkers or people who just fly around on the skyscales using fireballs being lazy... I haven't had one instance even come close to failing in all my 60 runs 90% of them being public ones. /shrug

I just had this issue for the last 2hours or so.... contacted support and had to get them to turn off the 2fa... had to reset the password etc. Still no clue why I was not receiving the sms code, as my phone # and pretty much everything else relating to my acct hasn't changed in forever. Just have your friend contact support via email. Took a bit but finally got it figured out I am wondering if my country is part of the issue, located in Canada.. so maybe there is something going on with the sms system going between countries.

I have done all the dungeons once through.. and my counter is still at 8/10... 2 drms so far and neither of them counted. What a mess this bonus event is so far.... do they even QA stuff anymore or just shove it out and hope for the best?

This is far from being an "important topic" Zero interest in all the suggestions you have made here. I will also like to put in, stop trying to change this game to be like other ones.. if you want the options those other games have.. go play them! GW2 does fine with everything it offers and doesn't need to change to "be like those other games"

Just adding my voice to this as it drives me nuts getting those pop ups every time I seem to move or do anything. Really does need a toggle to turn these off. Seems to get worse every time they release anything new these days

unfortunately... like most things Anet puts out, if you care about the achievements its best to do them when the map is new... that's when you will have the numbers. Gyala is such a painfully long map and pretty disjointed being split into different metas parts, that most people just don't find them worth it to do anymore because the rewards dont line up with the time/work required. You also have to keep in mind the Halloween festival is going on now, and tons of folks would much rather be farming that then doing low reward unfun metas.

try hitting Ctrl+Shift+H Thats the default for turning the UI on and off

adding my +1 to this issue.... all daily/weekly/specials done and its still showing the icon for a reward to pick up..... its seriously messing with my ocd having that icon on constantly.
