Hmmmm.... lets see, you already have Fractals, Raids, Strikes, WvW which are all "Group game modes" Me thinks your 95% math is just a tad flawed and overly dramatic. There is plenty of group content out there.. hell even things like the Triple Trouble, Dragon's End and all of the HoT metas require groups to succeed. To me this sounds like you just want more content cause you are bored with all the above. This is bound to happen with a 10 year old game. As a person who mostly plays solo, I don't really see the point in forcing people like myself into group stuff when we really don't want to deal with people bitching over the stupidest little thing or forcing me to play how they want to. When I want group content I just venture into one of the game modes I listed above when I feel the urge... being forced into it like you are suggesting, would only turn me off of the game and make me go find my entertainment elsewhere.... Pretty sure that isn't ANETs goal

Don't think this is a good suggestion at all..... This sounds more like a "I don't want to play the game, I just want to throw money at it" pay to win sorta option. Horrible idea as others have said there are more than enough pts available even if you don't like certain things like strikes or DRMs.

I play solo pve 90% of the time... I dont run meta builds, and have no interest in "looking up rotations and maxing my dmg" I have a job in real life, I play this as an escape from that, so NO I wont spend my time researching stuff and working my kitten off just so I can put up big numbers. Does this mean I may suck at any specific build I may be running? Sure to some it may, but I really dont care as long as I am having fun when I load up the game. Some people seem to forget this is a game and take it waaaaaaaay too seriously

err.... nobody is forcing you to buy them..... hate them that much just ignore it. Let the folks who do like them enjoy them, it's really not that hard. For the record, I think they are ridiculous, doesnt matter which race they are for lol Complete waste of gems in my books. (/shrug)

My daily routine: 3 pve dailies Daily Leyline Anomaly 4 WvW dailies 3 EoD dailies Daily fish from Taro in Aborstone (Restocking my stockpile as needed) Farm my Home instance I am currently working on my last piece of WvW Legendary armor... so the remainder of my time is spent grinding away in WvW until my Skirmish tickets are maxed out for the week (usually takes me until Tues/Wed of the week for that to happen with how much time I can play each day, No point in staying for the rest of the week when I am not getting anymore skirmish tickets) after all that is done....... I either work on new stuff if there is anything (LS1 stuff currently) or just log off and go play another game.

Fishing is super annoying in regards to the achievements.... But once those are done, its a nice way to make a few gold here and there when you don't feel like doing much in the game or are waiting for an event/meta to start. The achievements are what made fishing tedious to me not the actual fishing.

Why anet feels the need to push people into game modes they already hate is beyond me.... It pisses off the people who play this mode having to deal with folks who dont. Literally just had a "vet pvper" stand there doing nothing because we didnt play the way THEY wanted us to. Having to do these 10 matches is literally making me turn my game off cause I cant stand pvp. The gentle nudges just reinforce how much I hate this aspect of the game

This has been my biggest gripe with these quests... ALL of my toons have chapter 7 done for their core story... Hopefully this gets fixed as its super annoying for the ocd not being able to complete this collection fully

Have had it since year one of the game... and I use it here and there for JPS, Bounties, events.. basically anything that requires more players to "show up" That is the reward of it, definitely doesn't need any other sort of reward tied to it at all.

Due to constantly being ignored as a Canadian when it comes to these sales... I just unsubscribed my email from Anet... I'm tired of seeing all this "nice stuff" being offered to everyone and constantly being excluded. Just par for the course with how I have been feeling regarding ANET and their decisions as of late. They make it easier and easier to just go spend my free time with other games

Only time I use the skiff as a mode of transportation is when I am fishing... otherwise I always just the skimmer for just getting around..... The wonky layout for the skiff is just annoying to spawn the boat etc... if I am just going from point A to B its easier and quicker to just use my skimmer

Hey there! My currently guild is slowly dying out, so I'm in the market for a new one. I've been playing since gw1 days... though I took a several year break due to life stuff. I'm mainly a pve player... working on legendaries, doing dailies, metas or working on achievs etc etc. Sounds like this guild would be a decent fit!

if you have the fishing pole equipped.. you cant change/remove the lure. Only gives you the option to change it when not "active" took me forever to figure this out myself. Hope that helps

EoD has actually succeeded in getting me to play the game less..... its just constant annoyance after annoyance. The lack of events/buggy events make replay of most of the maps a chore. They are well designed, but empty of people and events. Really feel like they were only half done at time of release.... DE meta is still a mess unless you join a hardcore speed clear type guild. I have little will to return to it as I have failed it so many times I just don't care anymore, Hiding achievements behind its success is just down right stupid. The other metas are just ok.... Far too much visual clutter to see whats going on, making my game turn into a slide show half the time and the rewards just aren't worth the time nor effort. I don't enjoy strikes so I cant really comment on, its content I actively avoid as its not my cup of tea. Didn't enjoy being forced to do one for the turtle mount (which you cant use in strikes so it seemed odd to HAVE to do one to get it) The elite specs are really hit or miss... I enjoy Harbringer, Mechanist and Vindicator the most... the others don't really compete with the previous specs for my play style. Jade bot is pretty much a gold sink.... really feel they made this just so we would clear out random items from the TP to salvage for stupid research notes (WTF CAN'T YOU SALVAGE A FULL STACK???? this is one of those annoyances that shouldn't even be an issue) All in all, I honestly feel like we are STILL beta testing it... its also left me with a huge sense of buyers remorse for pre-ordering it. I will NOT be pre-purchasing anything from ANET in the future... which is a shame since I have been a huge fan of the game since GW1 days. Its going to take a lot for me to open my wallet to this company going forward.... that's how much I enjoyed it That said, I actually enjoyed the fishing for the most part (some of the drop rates seriously need to be looked at) Funny, because I wasn't really all that interested in fishing when it was announced, and yet its the only part of EoD I found myself not cursing too much at.

This right here.... I have been stuck on one final fish for my Cod title.. its been 5 days now and I am losing all will to play this game anymore due to its stupid RNG. Almost feels like its coded to NOT give you that last one until you hit so many days wasting time trying.

Only picked other for #2 as I have zero interest in any sort of housing other than what we already have with Home instances and Guild halls. I have zero interest in any sort of housing that you know Anet will HIGHLY monetize and have next to nothing achievable by playing the game. The last expansion just showed that they are only adding things in the game they can hawk off skins in the gem store (fishing poles, skiffs, Turtle skins etc etc) I understand Anet needs to make money, but its just getting out of hand now.... I really miss the days of old with this game before they fell into the typical MMO monetization trap.

doesn't seem to include ascended or legendary fish, at least so far... still useful for getting the lesser fish as well as Salt water/World Class achiev fish

The mysterious fishing holes were the selling point for me... I can leisurely fish here and knock off fish on the various Avid collections without having to go to the various maps. Just wish the fish vendors sold the decent lures without having to map to Arborstone or the Jade sea. All that said, if you have no interest in fishing at all.. then this lounge wont be worth the gems at all compared to the other lounges.

LOL people couldnt afford the "fee" I would require to make me move off the map lol... they can be mad at anet for forcing an entire map to participate while making fishing and other achievements needed in the same map. Sorry but if I am fishing and have built up stacks, no stupid lame meta group will be able to pay/harass me into leaving.

Barely use it at all. I am mainly a solo player so its pretty much inferior to all the other mounts for getting around. The fact that there are issues with the F1 setting, its usually locked to restricted as it wont ever toggle for me, and I rarely party up with people. Really is subpar to the other mounts. The amount of stress that turtle gave me acquiring it really just adds to the sour taste it give me. Feels like we are STILL beta testing this whole expac.

GW1: 2 accts GW2: 1 acct. I don't have the drive to actually have a 2nd acct. Far too much of an uphill grind to get all my QoL stuff I've grown accustomed to on a 2nd, so it would never get used other than for login rewards etc.

"Hey, you cant skip this cutscene... or look at your build..... or do some inventory management..... but you can browse the gemstore while you wait!" Pretty sure its designed like this on purpose. Shameful tactics that have slowly crept their way in to the game over the years. They just aren't botherd to hide it anymore *shrug*

For fishing yes... but they nerfed how much jade you can farm now... just another slap in the face when Jade nodes just disappear cause you hit the daily limit.

Mine was from a chest located in the roots in the water near Mori Village in Echovald. (north side of the lake) Though I believe it really all up to RNG which chest it comes out of... just keep opening all you see, you will get it eventually.
