  1. If they make it any easier it's just going to end up being another event where people stand around auto-attacking and collect loot at the end.
  2. Technically that's not true, since getting OOC requires one to create distance and not every build or class is capable of that.
  3. Those involved probably disagreed in the past, or have a connection with someone who disagreed in the past. One or both see the other as unreasonable so make use of emotional barbs to try to hurt the other. Basically, they are emotionally attached to one another
  4. It's why Mimic/Signet of Illusions, and Signet of Ether (to an extent) were changed to not work with CS. The aforementioned skills with CS is just multiplicative madness, but the same applies to mirage with signet of illusions and desert distortion. You'd think that, at some point, ANet would recognize that a cleaner solution would be to remove the skills, return mirage dodge, and introduce a replacement with appreciable power. Chronophantasma should also be replaced along with numbers on skills adjusted, so that power core/mirage can have respectable options. In the end, the changes have just reduced the number of viable builds, which in turn reduces the fun of the class, which in turn leads to threads like this.

  6. Aside from the original design of the warrior bubble, and perhaps purity of purpose, WvW has never been a reference point for any part of this game. It's simply been filled in as things around it were built. I really don't see how WvW could be accurately described as a cornerstone. ANet, I hope that now that you label it as cornerstone, you will actually do significant development with WvW in mind first.
  7. List of things that bother me: Mantra changes. Loss of charge up bonuses without any compensation. Traits with zero or extremely limited use: Furious Interruption, Protected Phantasms, Illusionary Inspiration, Persistence of Memory, Phantasmal Force Being locked into Duel/Dom/Chrono power for all PvE content. I want to be able to use illusions with shatters but it never makes sense due to the duel/dom power mods available and the low damage of shatters in PvE. 1 dodge Mirage. It's still the laziest balancing approach to the class. Things that have the CS exception. If those things are too powerful with CS then change the kitten things. It would be like Renewed Focus not resetting guard elite spec F skills because they are stronger. Timewarp. I haven't seen this used in WvW since the release of HoT. It's probably the weakest elite skill in this entire game. It certainly doesn't justify the long cooldown. Blurred Frenzy. 1s evade with pitiful damage in WvW. It feels horrible these days, though thankfully retaliation is gone now.
  8. Mirror blade says "Damage reduction per hit: 15%", but it seems to be considering ally bounces when doing this reduction. 1908 1441 1087 Each successive hit is lowering damage by ~30% of the previous hit since between those enemy hits it's bouncing off an ally.
  9. ANet could easily change loot credit to a system where loot is granted without actually having to tag something, but they obviously choose not to. I'm personally happy that retaliation is gone because it's far easier now to be aggressive towards comped groups.
  10. I've tried it with full Minstrel Mirage in WvW, 4 mantras, staff/staff with energy, and dodge food. It's extremely lackluster in healing potential and can mostly maintain alac/8 might to anyone near it, but that's about it. If they didn't cut the mantra healing in half, or if the mantras themselves weren't so bad, it would be usable. EDIT: I should mention that with Sand Shards it's actually very useful in melee zergs, given that it's super tanky and can dodge through enemy groups, ripping their stab/prots. However, from a support point of view it's really not worth it.
  11. I'd like to see the bottom row of Domination become a good interrupt line. Skills from GW1 that could be used in GW2: Dom traits: Power Drain (Adept trait) - Interrupts grant you health (no ICD). Power Leech - (Major trait) - Interrupts place exhaustion on enemies for 2 seconds (no ICD, exhaustions don't stack). Rework of skills: Leech Signet(Skill) replaces Signet of inspiration - Passive effect: all your interrupts grant you health. Active: Instant cast. Daze foe. If a skill was interrupted gain a large amount of health. Traited with Blurred Inscriptions: affects target foe and nearby foes (5 total). Gain health for each foe interrupted. Power Spike (Skill) - Daze target foe. If the foe is interrupted, deal damage. Power Lock (Skill) - Daze target foe. If the foe is interrupted, stun them instead.
  12. Doesn't run blink though, so the escape or ability to maintain pressure against mobile people is pretty limited. Not to mention the lack of stun break. Not saying he's bad, or running a bad build. Just pointing out that there's always a trade-off.
  13. It's fairly ironic too, considering GvG and Heroes Ascent were not features ANet wanted to implement in GW2 due to the problem of how long it took to find a comped group (at least that's something I heard from my friend, who was very close to ANet devs at the time).
  14. I meant after the bar is broken and there is a window of opportunity to dump damage. Confusion does negligible damage during that window. Every other ticking condition gets to benefit from it.
  15. The Torment and Retaliation changes give me some hope that Confusion will also be reworked at some point. It's just not a consistently fun condition in all game modes and suffers from the fact that it does absolutely nothing to bar break damage dumps.
  16. What does that have to do with anything? People gain experience and grow. It was fun when they first experienced it. Then they leave when something becomes stale. None of that has any bearing on the scoring mechanics that favor numbers and coverage. This was a response to Manu's comment about the negativity seeming like jealousy, NOT about scoring mechanics that favor numbers and coverage. These forums have been stale for years but people aren't leaving these it seems, apparently the one true future of the mode and the forums are constant negativity. Trust me fam. We haven't forgotten what it's like to have fun. In fact, everyone was quite excited being put against you guys.Unfortunately BP will likely be T1 again. Enjoy being T3. And I actually mean enjoy. Honestly the pugs from those other tiers are a lot more skilled. I hope u guys will give it a try and win T1 as you can. To me AR+BP is the strongest link atm. If u guys dont tank u can rule T1. And I dont mind about going T3! T1 for so long was nice but a bit exhausting! :# "exhausting" is why veterans of the game eventually accept that coverage is what matters in winning. Playing more, and feeling more stress to overcome coverage gaps is what inevitably leads to tanking. It's pretty ironic that you're happy to be dropping tiers after lamenting how those who want to drop tiers are ruining the game for you.
  17. EBG has 4 to 5 times more activity than RBL on nearly every NA matchup every single week. Safe to say the vast majority don't agree with you.
  18. Suggesting power mesmers roll condi mirage pretty much sums up the state of the class. That's not a knock against you, by the way. Do note that this discussion is about power mesmer roaming.
  19. Due to WvW area buffs and monument buffs that's often impossible. In addition, not having food and utility running is deliberately fighting at a disadvantage.
  20. Mesmer just has too many useless traits and skills that don't interact at all with traits. WvW additionally has the problem of sentries, watchtowers, and classes who can bring reveals when they encounter a mesmer, so even your stealth skills are limited.
  21. So what reward didya get? Rewards? Who cares about rewards? I got everything I need a long time ago! Bags u can get them everyday, winning is the real challenge.. but its not for losers! Is it a challenge though? I did absolutely nothing in terms of PPT that week and I still won T1 as much as you did. A single person has very little control over it, there are no rewards, therefore there is no point in stressing over it. Maybe u won just as me but ur not one of those who can say with pride and joy "WE MADE IT!!!" :pIf u cant endure the stress of a competitive game then dont play it! I feel 'we made it' when we win a scrim against a good guild. Or sometimes when a server I despise goes down in flame and smoke.PPT once in a while is relaxing, but not the main thing (for me). Winning a matchup only gives the 'we made it' feeling, if we really wanted to go up a tier to face two servers that give enjoyable fights. Yeah sure beating a good guild is nice, pugs with cloud formation had the "we made it" feeling few times in T1 vs some of the best BG and SoS guild blobs, good times :)Using your current matchup as an example, blue dominates the map for 6 hours followed by green staying at the top for 12 hours implies green has better coverage. It doesn't matter if that 12 hours are more competitive (closer in PPT) than the 6 hours. If the server is consistently ahead for 12 hours it means they have better coverage. That fact alone is far more important than any individual contribution you or anyone else might have had.

I give you about 6 more months of tryharding before you merge in with most of of the WvW community and only care about pips/rewards/kdr/tanking. nah, the majority want to play the game in a ppt spirit (and it include fights). They arent just as expressive than bullies and tankers. Its like in real life, young bullies always think they are the majority because they shout louder but for the vaste majority when they grow up they realize they went in the wrong path and regrets how losers they became. Only a few weeks left until relinking. If you don't fulfill your PPT goals soon you could quickly find yourself trapped in T4 while paired with a dead server.
