  2. thanks, i thought retaliation is not really good in pve?and without GS i only have a few way to keep the retal uptime, and that includes wasting heal skill and stab... in case i don't run retal on radiance, well, i do take retribution trait, does radiance still an absolute must over zeal? and does retal is the only reason why radiance is a must? The only use of retal is the bonuses you get for having it. Look at it this way, if Protection gave you Might, Ferocity, increased critical chance and +damage%, then everybody would be running around with hammers.
  3. money. :p Actually I treated myself to Juggernaut and Flameseeker Prophecies earlier this month, because why not? Unfortunately I could not make myself like the way the hammer changes my armor look so I transmuted it. Should've sold it. :anguished: Shield rocks though. No regrets there! I have 2 gifts of mastery left but I will probably sell those too.
  4. Death Magic can be a blessing or curse in PVE. Toughness can give you unwanted boss aggro, but DM is tops for condition management (and the lovely Rise + Death Nova bomb). I hate gear swapping, so without a WvW running mate I'm tempted to try Death Magic so I don't have to use Toughness gear. With Rise + Corruptor's Fervor you could get around 400 armor and 33% damage reduction pretty much on demand (assuming you are using axe/focus and land a few skills). Haven't tried it out yet though.

It was a typical buff-nerf that happens pretty often to necro.Buff: more reliable (homing) and more lifeforce.Nerf: slower projectile (at least it feels much slower now) less dmg when you hit the skill Same for warhornBuff: faster ticksNerf: a lot less dmg (no crits), doesn't heal while in shroud and no longer cripples, which is a huge deal.

  7. Can we just have Locust Swarm reverted? It was perfectly fine before the nerf update.
  8. I just foresee giant bunker blobs with 1 or 2 backline DPS because everyone is scared to die. Losing your rewards if you die will become a brick wall for new or unskilled players.
  9. That would be way too strong for Reaper though, with the quickness/ferocity buff it just got. With Spite and SR traits you can easily maintain 25 Might and 25 Vuln, which makes almost everything melt like warm butter as it is. I'd prefer to have ways to build life force back up faster, but we won't get that due to Scourge.

  11. I was excited when Anet said the hammer AA chain was going to be sped up... but I can't tell the difference, at all. Just give all 3 attacks the same activation time and adjust the damage so that DPS is about the same. Same for mace. Using either of those makes me feel constipated.

  13. Currently have 500 of them stashed on one of my toons, and about 130 of them on another. I had the warclaw fully unlocked within 15mins of the patch going live. Many in my guild had that light bulb moment, and one of our commanders, who had to run 5hrs straight to complete the reward track, afterwards started storing them. Unless you are working on a specific reward track with a goal, it's a smart play to save up your potions for future use. If at any time I need a Gift of Battle, or a piece of exotic stat selectable armor, I can have it within minutes. Especially if it's a daily. I was scratching my head about the potions thing too. I figured most people saved them for "need it now" moments.
  14. Increase dagger chain damage by ~20% and allow it to hit 3 targets. Either that or increase greatsword AA speed by 33%. Melee is just too ineffective unless you are in Reaper shroud, and you can't stay in RS for any appreciable amount of time.
  15. You just described 80% of WvW in that first sentence. yeah but why does it grant so much more gold on a pve map?WvW needs more nodes obviously. They shouldn't be restricted to objectives. A world boss on each map would be good too. =)

  17. No, the least skilled way to get kills by far is scourge. Press a button .. run into opponent(s). Get over it. Defending from a wall is an extremely dangerous proposition to start with. I have far fewer problems with Scourge than with Rangers. They seldom travel alone though, and it's easy to get in trouble when I forget that. I like the idea of Barrier, but it feels like a cop out instead of truly addressing power creep.
  18. God that video was hilarious. Nice touch throwing in some Dvorak. <3 I sit here and ask myself why I bother playing Guardian and/or Necro when I have a Ranger in full ascended gear that I never use. :disappointed:
  19. i think thats a bit too extreme to happen. maybe something like : 4 base dodge rolls but half the base endurance gain. this would increase the amount of dodges you can 'burst' yet will reduce overall dodge uptime over a longer fight. Maybe Endurance only recharges out of combat?
  20. I've been off and on using Curses/Scepter/Focus on power builds for a while now. With Lingering I get around 400 free condition damage with 0 invested, and Devouring Darkness followed by Spinal Shivers is so great at ruining people's day. My favorite boon destroyer.

  23. Game needs a vote to tag as spy, which puts them as an enemy status. Takes like 10 votes and lasts for an hour. They get auto targeted at spawn by defenders. So they need to hide on map for an hour or get out of WvW. Of course the obvious problem with this is the inevitable "my 9 friends and I don't like you, so we're going to prevent you from playing." I don't have an answer to the griefing problem, but I can tell you any system that allows players to control whether other players can participate will become a griefing method in itself.
