It was not fun dying to everything solo, there is a reason hot got nerfed many times, and a huge chunk of the populations quite when hot was released. Solo without mounts was atrocious. Uh yeah and we can all do that..

If they are so popular why does only a tiny percentage of the community do them.

I was talking about the whole icebrood thing the forging steel was just one example. as is his bjora example. Funnily i'm on the last part and its actually fun now doing these areas solo.. The rest was horrible.

At release this was the famous dev quote.. Ever since Gw2 has slowly eroded this truth to a point where its almost impossible to solo these days, without extremely difficult effort. I'm not introvert i just am tired of dealing with other people and would prefer to play on my own through the stories.

Anything is more rewardable than doing those things.. Standing in LA chatting is more rewardable than WvW or raiding.

Its not worth it honestly, i just unlocked it.. two days ago. For the work involved its a mess. All these people saying how great it is over griffon.. yeah no Griffon is by far and large way better. Skyscale gets shot out of the sky by every ranged mob, Griffon can dodge everything with the double jump. Skyscale sticks to every single non flat surface and gets you into the above, griffon just moves past terrain. Skyscale cannot damage enemies when you land as the flame circle is out of alignment when you land, also flame aoe tick is so poor, griffon can do pinpoint damage to enemies every single time.. Griffon can still get to 99% of the areas skyscale can even if it is a few seconds slower. Which it isn't always. Bunny can do what skyscale can. Griffon flies so much better across a map. I'm really disappointed i wasted so much time on this so called "legendary" mount. don't make my mistake.

I just did Icebrood on one character.. i hated every minute of it even if it is nerfed, being forced into meta maps and wvw style pve maps to do my story that reset was not fun at all.. This had to be the worst of the worst story and maps i've ever had to deal with. It took me hours to solo with that charr group and a vehicle mission. I'm never going back after i finish this. Nerfed or not it was horrific. No idea which dev thought this design was a good idea..

Yes but a different way. And people here wonder why a large percentage wont do raids, this person is not alone and a huge part of the elitist raiding population. Probably not all that good either.

Vipers and Marauders is vastly superior to Berserkers for a new customer.. hell even Celestial is vastly superior to Berserkers.. Glass cannon builds do not promote great game play for new customers or even high ping vets..
