  1. hm why does a DE have more invis than a ranger with lb? and more teleports? DE has other strengths than ranger (who has very few atm). And you even get the 1500 range while you kneel.
  2. But it is a 20 sec cd stun break. Can't sum up the bad without the good. Oh absolutely that's a great aspect of it. I was mostly focused on the offensive aspect due to the claim "no one gets hit by it anyways."bandits defense is the most broken skill in this game... you get a 16 sec cd stunbreak, 1.5 sec block and a 2 sec knockdown all with one utility skill. I don't know what you are all on about but that skills deserves a cd increase to 40-45 sec. Anyone who is defending this skill is absolutely delusional.
  3. Maybe an event to bring new players into raids. the biggest obstacle of raids is getting into them. Once you have a build and know the mechanics of the bosses a little they are really not that hard anymore. The problem is that you'd need a group to take you with them the first few times so you can actually learn/ get to know the encounters and that is a big turnoff for many players. this event should obviously not be for the common raider or for some speedrunning groups but for the vast majority of players who never/very rarely set food into raids.for example, if a group has a # of players with less than a # of LIs (maybe 10 or less) the raid events/bosses are going in slow motion but they keep all the mechanics and all phase transitions as usual. On top of that give the group an infobox/letter (anything like that) with a short explanation on what to do and what mechanics are most crucial for success on every arrival of a new boss/event.With the bosses attacking in slow motion aswell as mechanics taking a much longer time (e.g. like VG green fields take 3 times as long untill they explode and the same goes for direct attacks from VG), it would be a great and easy opportunity to allow new players without an already existing group to try out raids during that week without having the feeling of wasting their or some other groups time and it would refresh the amount of raiders in GW2. And of course the rewards for those players (if they manage to defeat a boss during that week) should stay the same as they are right now (they are gated to once per week anyway and exclude CMs)
  4. and the warrior is still melee and is glass when in berserk mode, like just burst/kill him lol. Most classes have a range advantage or can just use (broken) instant cast abilities to burst the berserker without a chance for him to react.
  5. He will have the same armor as light armor classes do.Does it make them 100% useless? lol was your comment serious? are you actually comparing mirage/chrono and scourge/reaper to a berserk warrior? Those classes have either alot more mobility or flat out invulnerability/blocks or bring enormous amounts of cleave and aoe dmg with them. plus they can kite because they are ranged and the warrior is melee lol... what does berserker bring into a teamfight? weakness and the berserker can gtfo while being oneshotted by the next thief instacast attack from 1000 range.
  6. Well ok... if you think I haven't played condi zerker, then so be it. Nice assumptions :) If I was not clear enough that I am talking about discipline condi dps BS berserker, saying it now, just in case.I was comparing condi with power without having specific situations in mind to simplify things. Obviously, condi berserker is better for longer fights with less phases (like Cairn, MO, etc) and power is better elsewhere (fractals, etc).I chose golem for sake of simplicity. Stop acting like providing 4400 stats to 10 people (yourself included) overall permanently during fight AND dealing 34k DPS is not overperforming. AND it used to be 7820 stats to 10 people (yourself included), even better. I included how it used to be to highlight the idea of overperformance.Arguments that something is not overperforming because without banners it would be useless is trivial. Yes, pure condi DPS berserker without banners is not overperforming because it has pretty meh burst for a DPS role but it also doesn't provide 4400 stats to 10 people... Now the important thing is, that berserker builds will get more specified (or it seems so, so far), berserker will have to take as much rage skills as possible to prolong duration of berserk mode as long as possible. This way dps berserker won't be able to just take banners instead of signets and be overperforming like now (as offensive support and DPS at the same time). It is possible that tactics condi bs berserker will have better average dps than core warrior so it will not lack compared to core warrior in situations where it is used now. Precise testing is required of course, we shall see soon. bs version is 33k and stop acting like 33k dps with no burst and slow buildup is anywhere near a power dps build with the same numbers. Berserker is a dps spec and needs to do dmg for it to be viable. End of story. Problem is that the non golem dps it provides is simply only mediocre. Luckily core warrior has two utility spells that keep one single warrior in raids because the condi berserker "dps" spec with its 34k dps does not. Every mightstacker provides 3750 stats with a SINGLE boon in a 5 man group... that's only slightly less than banners do in a 10 man group so there is really no problem here.
  7. uwotm8 It's probably easy to F1 F1 F1 F1 with Adrenaline Signet, that 10s cooldown stunbreak skill for adrenaline generation, the 33% adrenaline refund and a critical hit, assuming the bar is still 10 and not 30 once in berserk mode lolfirst of all outrage (10 sec cd stunbreak) does not grant adrenaline anymore. But decapitate is the axe primal burst and that means that adrenaline won't be a problem because of the adrenaline gained by axe mastery.
  8. That is why I wrote "overperforming as dps and offensive support at the same time". Roughtly 34k DPS while giving 100 power/precision/ferocity/condition damage to 10 people. And it used to be 170... Such buffs are reasonable for dps of core power warrior (which is roughly 25k).It is good that in order for warrior to deal highest damages, now you have to take proper utilities, too, and can't "cheese" things by just taking banners and use improved bannerslave instead. Anet did it in a very smart way (or at least it appears so), by not buffing rage skill damages directly to make them crucial for DPS builds, but rather reworking berserk mode and making those rage skills to prolong berserk mode. Also, berskerer has good CC, too. Head Butt and Wild Blow are very good CC skills. We shall see, what happens after patch, maybe there will be permanent berserk uptime for bannerslave berserker which will be even stronger than now.I am hyped because I believe this change will improve Berserker quite a lot everywhere (also hoping that berserk cast time won't suck badly). but that's where you are wrong... it's not overperforming, neither the banner variant nor the "dps" variant (the "dps" variant sucks as dps). if condi war (without burst and slow dps buildup) has the same dps as power war (with alot more cc and instant full dps and even a small opening burst) then it's not balanced. Then the condi war is simply useless. You fail to understand that without banners condi zerker would not be meta for any boss.It was overpowered when warrior was the groups source of might aswell but those days are long gone. And 25k golem dps on a condi build with slow buildup and no burst whatsoever would mean A LOT less dmg on actual bosses... condi zerker with 25k dps is simply dead weight, that's not even up for debate, not even banners would save condi zerker from such a miserable state. Condi zerker, aswell as power zerker, should be super high up in the dps charts given that you now even sacrifice surviveability for it and dps is literally the only thing berserker has going for it. last thing... if you take wild blow your dps will fall down by quite a lot, because normally you only take shattering blow and with the nerfs to chrono in the last balance patches you don't have perma stab anymore in many groups. That means you kinda need the stab from shattering blow or headbutt is a 1.75 sec selfstun. it's pretty obvious that you don't play condi zerker otherwise you would not bring up these useless golem numbers and compare then directly to a power build and you would know that there is no dps difference between a condi zerker bs and a condi dps zerker.
  9. Thats tragic :-( i liked the discipline berserker much more then the tactics one... but yeah, this is probably dead now )-: There will be new rotations as we will be able to prolong berserk mode. With requirement of slotting up rage skills, it will be harder to take both banners and have very long (if not permanent - but most likely not) berserk uptime. This is imo good because currently, banner condi dps berserker is overperforming as dps and offensive support at the same time. This way, Anet can differentiate between support and dps better. The question is how good/strong new rotations/builds will be.oh and btw condi zerker is nowhere near overperforming lol, trash burst and slow condi buildup so it's only mediocre on dps golem bosses without invuln phases and the only offensive support comes from nerfed banners. So the ONLY supportive thing in the condi zerker build are the two utility slots used for banners. and the dps variant is only 700 dps higher because there are not even any utility skills that grant condi dmg for warrior lol. Condi zerker also has almost no breakbar dmg compared to power war. Without banners the condi zerker would not be meta anymore, quite the overperforming spec...
  10. in pve with cd reset on axe primal burst and axe mastery you'd probably easily be able to keep up those 3 stacks of berserkers power (so more axe/axe camping in pve). In other gamemodes however this won't matter as berserker still won't have any use in wvw/pvp (unless the new burst skills have broken dmg numbers). and condi berserker will probably even be nerfed with this patch, because you lose 7% condi dmg (300 flat condi dmg kinda make up for it but only when berserk mode is active) and the ability to use the normal longbow burst which is quite often used in the condi zerker rotation.
  11. that is exactly what i wrote "so the power variant got a 3% dmg buff and 300 extra power in exchange for 300 toughness." and it really does not seem like much
  12. hm... so instead of passive +7% dmg and condi dmg for 30 sec we get 300 power and 300 condition dmg in exchange for 300 toughness only while in berserk mode... i mean the power variant got a (much needed) buff as it seems right now because bloody roar now gives you 20% bonus dmg.so the power variant got a 3% dmg buff and 300 extra power in exchange for 300 toughness. but the condi variant simply lost 300 thoughness, 7% condi dmg aswell as the ability to use normal burst skills in exchange for 300 flat condi dmg stats. well we have to see what kinda rotation evolves out of these changes and if condi war will still be a thing after the patch or if this patch will even be a slight buff. Edit: i don't think this patch will change anything about berserker in pvp/wvw because the (now even more) lacking surviveability is not made up by burst, dmg potential or mobility. And most important the berserker is still lacking the ability to stick onto a target and will still be easily kited. Also thief interrupting berserk activation will be a thing now..
  13. well thief was always a godmode class when you could play it (unfun but rarely seen), the problem with deadeye however is that it is absolutely braindead. Most DE players suck and all they do is shoot you from 1000+ range and go invis as soon as you come close. The problem here is not one DE but several. If one goes invis and another starts shooting you from 1000+ range again you cannot do anything about it (maybe run into a keep again if you are close to one). Roaming groups of DEs are litteraly the worst thing i have ever encountered in this game. Even entire zergs can't harm them because they are always invis and kill everyone in seconds who gets a little bit to far away from the firebrand support. Small groups get obliterated and glassy builds simply get oneshot from stealth. There is nothing you can do about it and it simply sucks.
  14. There are well discussed reasons why they cannot do this. Raids have to be a stand alone game element with minimal, almost non-existent story or else they risk becoming semi-mandatory for story-focused players - a group they have specifically stated are not a target audience for the GW2 version of raids. They basically have to be treated as a separate game within the game. Many games have sidequests.
  15. I don't know, heard of a skill called rampage? Even a ranger not running glass can easily be caught by that, with only one skill that grants stability. Bait their dolly stance with any other cc and then rampage. They will be caught. Also lb3 is not insta cast :F it looks like it, with no cast time on tool tip, but it has an animation thus not insta cast. Use it's unreliableness against the ranger- this skill will always fire when pressed, no LoS warnings, no turn around to face target, it will go off even if you're behind the ranger (as such wasting the entire skill) xD when warrior uses rampage everything the ranger has to do is go invis and kite a little bit. Seriously there is no ranger in this game who is worth a kitten who gets perma cc'ed by rampage in a 1v1. Ranger doesn't go stealth automatically when CCed....he has hefty cast times and CD to follow, yah I can play warrior and I meet my fare share of glass LB and given that I main ranger I know most tactics used by common copy/paste sniper. Most of them will remain in SB mode after first burst, it's easy to dodge twice and LoS and follow with bull's charge/rush...rest is skill dependant matchup but we all know that not every ranger out there is @kiritsugu emeya.3962 and not every warrior is @Vaahn.7142 ..let's stop pretending it's otherwise ok? Majority of copy/paste snipers are backpedalling glass pewpew...losing to them it's a L2P freaking huge issuenobody is talking about backpeddling glass rangers lol? and noone ever said rainger can stealth when cc'ed?? ranger can simply cast lb 3 or gs 3 and kite though whenever a warrior uses rampage?

  17. How is a warrior going to chain cc a ranger??? maybe with hammer and mace/shield, but then again what ranger loses.. no gets even hit by a warrior running that combo? And magebane tether is simply not reliable. First of all, if you are against a condi player you lost with this skill, next problem is that you have to hit the enemy with a burstskill and that is (depending on the enemy and ranger is quite slippery with lots of evades/blocks/knockbacks/invis) not always possible (especially because ranger lb invis has no distinct cast animation nor does it have a cast time) or at least not when you need something that specific (like a reveal for rangers instacast invis). And there are more problems, magebane tether only hits 1 target and it can hit pets and clones aswell (making it completely useless against mesmer btw.). And the tether can easily be broken even if the warrior was able to succesfully hit you with it, you only need 1 stack of stability for that.It is actually quite easy for the ranger to completely deny the warrior the tether as it always goes on the same cd regardless of how long the tether was active. Let your pet eat one of the warrior bursts that you dodge/block and right after the tether hit the pet pull it back to you/swap it with the second pet or merge with it.
