  1. this should be done but will sadly never happen. This is not a problem in pve and as such not a problem for the devs.
  2. tbh if you want alot of these grandmaster marks fast go into wvw ebg and defend stonemist castle if your team has it. You will get showered in grandmaster mark shards when there are huge battles inside of it and every 10 shards is one grandmaster mark.
  3. Willbender is not meta in pvp. It's still playable for a long time (untill you reach plat) but the downsides of willbender are that you are mostly a melee dps with very little cc and you are very squishy. You have to make your Judges Intervention port count or you need teammates who cc the enemy for you. The pros of willbender are that you are quite mobile and you have a huge burst. Just don't use it into the enemy block or invulnerabiliy. In PvE Willbender is completely fine as DPS. There are some fights that make it harder for a willbender because you have to use your movement skills to get very important buffs. In PvE you should be using condi willbender and you have to make sure to always activate the f1 skill because literally 90% of your damage comes from the buff this skill grants (that also means that you can use any weapon on willbender and still be condi... so you can play greatsword condi willy and the difference to sword mainhand is extremely small. Just have x/torch for your other weaponset). The willbender elite skill is good for breakbars in pve. Willbender may not be the best dps in the game but noone will say anything about it (except for conjured amalgamate because you need power dps for it --> dragonhunter easily fills that role) Alacrity willbender will probably not be played after the next balance update and it is already very niche right now. In wvw you can play power and condi willbender but i'd say that power willbender is superior to the condi variant because the condi variant has only one condition and that is burn. You can burst people down with condi willbender because a lot of the time people are simply not suspecting 10 stacks burn in 1-2 seconds because most people play power willbender (or celestial but your burns hit for far less on that build than on a full condi willbender) but as soon as people realize you are playing condi you probably will not beat them anymore. The (almost) full glass willbender with marauders/berserkers/dragon stats hits extremely hard in wvw. You can kill people in a few seconds if they are unaware but you easily explode yourself if you get targeted or you can play the more balanced approach and play with celestial stats. That would probably be the easiest thing to start in wvw because it gives you more time to understand what is happening before you die. And that will happen a lot if you are new. You can play both willbender and vindicator (only rev spec with gs) in every mode. The biggest advantage vindi has over willbender as a new player is imo that you need less different gear sets on a vindi. Vindicator is always power damage (there is a support build for vindi but you said that's not what you want) and the dragon stats that you need for willbender are quite hard to come by as a "new" player.

Since yesterday i cannot even log into the launcher anymore because everytime i enter my password and then the email verification code i instantly get the error that the connection failed. Version is ofc the newest one (atm it is 144604) and again the errorcode display is 3044:1030:6:339 Edit: -usecoherent command fixed the issue. I saw a request for help with a similar errorcode (Error Code: 3044:1030:9:553) and everyone had the same problems as i had so i gave it a try and it worked. Chromium Embedded Framework seems to be the problem here.
  5. at least the strange restriction (that you only have 10 attacks that are unblockable and this counter even goes down if the attack is evaded) that has been randomly introduced into the game some time ago for no reason at all should be reverted now. It is ridiculous that if you pop lb2 with quickness the unblockable effect lasts only for one second. Warrior doesn't really have a problem like this because you only play signet of might with gunflame and that is just one or two heavy hitting attacks and not a bunch of low damage ones.
  6. for open world pve just stack the eod buffs that give every boon for 10 seconds after combat started. They can be stacked to 2h and 14min duration and in combination with celerity and rage sigil you'll have all the quickness you need.
  7. better keep duoq because it's just so fun to play against premades sitting in discord as a solo player... and awesome "balance" patches once every 6 months.. how could anyone not like this game is beyond me.
  8. oh you mean like ele air focus 5 or deadeyes binding shadows or even spellbreakers dagger 3 or mesmers daze mantra or thief steal or thief pistol 4 or scorpion wire when used in melee range or basilisk venom etc... there are so many ccs with barely any or no animation in this game that this is not a valid argument.
  9. willbender is imo a lot of fun to play. It sucks that every utility except whirling lights is garbage or mediocre but that's the case with most elite specs or even with most utility skills (base game included) in this game. That's just the way it is.
  10. how about instead of removing stealth you remove the instant application of it. So after you applied a stealth ability it takes 3 seconds untill you are fully stealthed (exception for stunbreak stealth utilities). And any action asside from moving will reveal you. That way anet could revert many nerfs (e.g. the duration and removal of revealed nerf on shadow meld)
  11. and again stealth is the problem here. Stealth in this game is broken and not suited for pvp. And the devs are also not able to fix gapclosers that are not instant to be able to hit targets that are moving with superspeed.
  12. meta should be able to kill you in 1 skill if the setup is right or the enemy is just dumb enough. E.g. hundred blades should kill people if they stand in it for the whole duration. On the other hand e.g. ele has so many instant cast abilites that you can easily "chain" 5 skills together and still have less then half the casting time of just one hundred blades. Expressions like this are completely meaningless. But balance would be far easier to achieve if quickness and alac would be gone for competetive that is right. Superspeed should then probably also be removed.
  13. nothing will change because anet does ot have the money/dev time to implement a new system (especially not for pvp). That opportunity sailed away 10 years ago.
  14. sorry but the gw2 investors are allergic to spending money for devs in this game. There will never be a world 3 or world 4.
  15. ^^^^^^this and ofc barely readable animations and/or instant cast abilites. Worst offender of all this is thief and this class is a prime example of how to not design something for a multiplayer game.
  16. i especially love the roaming groups that consist of cele harbinger, cele renegade and cele cata with a sprinkle of support tempest added into the mix. Imo cele does not need to be removed but the buff it received has to be reverted.
  17. why is the 5 stack limit there in the first place? The boon already has a cap at 30 seconds so why is there a need for another restriction?
  18. berserker is pretty busted against power damage right now. With the defense master trait and heatbutt you have an 18 sec cd stunbreak that grants you 4-5 seconds of endure pain. With the rework of the eternal champion grandmaster trait you can also have another 4 seconds of complete damage immunity. Take the defiant stance as heal skill and you have another 5 seconds of invulnerability. Then shield + balanced stance and you practically cannot die to power damage anymore. And with cleansing sigil and shake it off you are in an ok spot vs condi builds aswell.
  19. there are many reasons for that. The number one reason is probably bad balance. In a controlled 5v5 environment balance matters alot more than in wvw where player numbers in each encounter vary extremely so even the most op classes don't make that much of a difference. How long was catalyst allowed to run rampant without any nerfs? It took months for anet to do something about that. Since HoT the game has become a lot faster because many skills don't have weighty cooldowns or there are too many of them and/or they simply do to much at once. This makes it quite a bit harder for new players to learn how to play. But it's not just the spammy nature of the game since the introduction of elite specs into pvp but also the lack of proper and readable animations. The hordes of bots that were running around in pvp for literal years.. the cheaters that go unbanned even after months and one of the most important things: The complete lack of anything new. Not even bugfixes... the stupid spellbreaker bug with the permanent fullcounter animation still exists. And the downward spiral of pvp is self propelling: fewer people are playing --> matchmaking is getting worse --> fewer people are playing --> etc.
  20. yeah the reason that pvp is almost dead is because you cannot q with a 5 man premade team against 5 solo players... what nonsense This has nothing to do with abusing 5 solo players with 5 man premade team. Getting rid of 5 man premades was one of anets best decisions.
  21. banish is pretty similiar to backbreaker so i don't think this skill needs a buff. Overcharged shot is just a pretty good example of extreme powercreep. It was a medium range cc with a drawback and now it's a long range cc that you can just spam with all your other skills because the tradeoff for it to be a ranged cc has been completely removed... also the cd of overcharged shot is lower than banish which makes no sense at all and just like with ranger longbow knockback you practically cannot tell the difference between a normal autoattack and the knockback because the animation is almost the same. If anything overcharged shot deserves a nerf imo.
  22. Sustain and 30k+ dps on warrior. Since the hammer update this is easily possible. Weapons: Hammer + Dagger/Axe for open world: Impact, Force, Bloodlust and Celerity sigil and any rune that gives you decent extra damage (best case would be scholar runes) stats: full berserk everything traits: defense: bottom bottom bottom strength: bottom bottom top spellbreaker: top bottom bottom skills: mending, bulls charge, signet of might, signet of fury and signet of rage very durable thx to almost permanent stability, full counter and adrenal health.
  23. your first point is actually valid imo. The game would improve alot if people would have to take care of their own boons for the most part and if boons get shared it should only last for a very short amount of time so you could still use it for coordinated bursts. This would certainly stop boonballs from having perma raid boons across the whole party. point two and point three is a no for me
  24. the lack of clear and readable animations with meaningful cooldowns in exchange for fast "spamy" gameplay. This gameplay got introduced with HoT when elite specs made for PvE with insane powercreep threw all balance out of the window. HoT started the mess that is pvp today and the only way to fix it would be to roll back balance to before HoT and deny elite specs altogether. (Maybe reintroduce them one by one after careful balance updates and with time in between) But nothing will happen sadly because anet or their investors do not want to spend the money needed for developers to make actual changes (like visible and more distinctive animations for example). The saddest part is that imo gw2 has/had the potential for the best pvp in any mmo and it maybe could even compete with moba games but the lack of attention by anet is killing this gamemode.
  25. tbh noone can play 2vs10 if the 10 players are not laughably bad and unskilled. Maybe you mistook stonemist npc guards for real players?
