  1. I would love for the dungeons to have an npc team to run through them with. A lot of the early story that helps you understand the relationships between characters is hidden in dungeons, and most new players won't even think to do them, because they're so dead.
  2. This is me, I don't farm content to sell on the trading post, so having 30 gold is a big deal for me. I'm not even sure how I can get gold without playing the market. I play the story, get bored, move on for a couple of months (years), make alts, and do it over again. I run around the open world having fun with the world and killing stuff. I don't have any fancy mounts, or a skyscale, and never will. I'm willing to bet I'm fairly "average".
  3. I'm kind of excited to see the steam forums rip apart GW2 if I'm being honest lol. It'll be a eat popcorn moment for sure.
  4. By "one tap of my auto attack", do you mean you pressed auto attack once and then waited for him to die without using skills, or did you auto attack him a single time and he died?
  5. Having an option to mute the death sounds is something I wouldn't mind, some of them are over the top imo, but "remove all human deaths" in a game like this, well, I'd rather not go the way of certain countries that make blood green, or can't use certain scary symbols.
  6. I'm starting to get the feeling you're just advertising your twitch stream 🙂
  7. I think it says a lot about the final fight if people are engaging in the prep for the fight and just leaving for the actual fight. Instead of forcing people into the fight, maybe looking at WHY people aren't fighting would be a better start.
  8. I don't enjoy the idea of having to lfg for a strike, let alone doing a raid. I don't play Guild Wars 2 for difficult group content, I play for casual fun. Also, the idea of spending 30 - 60 minutes getting a raid group together isn't remotely appealing to me. I want to turn on the game, and play, not sit around waiting for people.
  9. I'm just one of those play for a couple of weeks every 6 months types, and I only do solo content (world bosses aside), but if you want players like me to play strikes, a shiny reward isn't going to do it. At best it might get me to do it just until i get the reward, but I'll immediately move on afterwards. A couple things that would make me more interested in strikes. 1. some sort of automated lfg. I know, I know, apparently guild wars 2 is like Destiny 2, where it's just impossible to have lfg because it's just that hard or something, but that would help a lot. 2. make them easier. Like. a LOT easier. I don't know if that means having different difficulties that are basically comparable to the solo instance except with more players, but that would give someone like me the confidence to try harder group content. If I had the expectation that I had a very good chance of succeeding in 'easy' group content, then I would be more likely to try it. I get that for a lot of vets, this IS EASY group content, but it's not for me and others like me. I don't enjoy failing multiple times in a row, especially in group content. I feel stupid, and it just makes me move on to other things that I do enjoy. I know, these are probably awful things for more veteran instanced content players, but that is what it would take to get me to consider joining instanced content. I need first to have fun before I consider pushing myself into harder content. If I'm being pushed off the deep end (yes, for me it is) to get a shiny, I'm not going to enjoy it. Just one very casuals opinion though.
  10. apparently i can at least go back in the quest before the boss fight, and not the entire quest..so yay for that at least?
  11. It's a little frustrating to have a quest breaking crash that happens at the exact same spot every time, google it and find that it's been a bug for FOUR years. Glint's crystal is talking after the boss fight and the server magically disconnects me RIGHT at the exact same spot every time. Don't give me some nonsense about my network settings, the game wouldn't be crashing at the exact same spot every time if I had a network configuration issue. This is the kind of bug that kills all my motivation. Having to repeat an unfun boss fight repeatedly only to have the game crash is just not fun. Then if i say "forget it, i'll try it later" i have to repeat the entire quest? really? I'm sure this will just go unnoticed, but as a relatively new player, it's not fun and really kills the game for me. Just wanted to vent a bit.
  12. Maybe i use a weird definition of Pay2Win but for me, if you can skip progression in a game by just paying cash instead of strictly in-game, then I say it's Pay2Win. Is that always bad? No. When games are designed/balanced around that system, that's when it gets frustrating imo.
  13. wait, really? That thing looks ridiculously big to me
