I voted ‘for fun’, the first month I did tequatl daily. Nowadays I barely do them, rather do fractals, more fun. Couldn’t give a shit about loot.

Since that is on sale: what's the "most annoying" class to level to 80 and awesome to play at 80?I myself tried engineer and mesmer, but they are kind of underpowered in open world.Which class would you have boosted if you had the chance? Perhaps useful for newcomers/ returning players.

Weird, I used it once and it worked fine. You had to do that first few quests until you kill a dude with a cinematic and right after you can boost and do the stuff you need to do. Before the first dude I got errors, if I understand correctly you could use it but only got some items? I’m sure they’ll give you another. Kind of lame if they don’t as it has a 25 euro value.

Mesmer? Get the mount and start a char 1-80. Mesmer was worst to level for me.

At work, my colleagues are recoding a product we had for 4 years now. They have been working on the recode for 2 years now. You don’t want to know how MUCH work it is to redo something from scratch that you’ve been patching/ updating in the old form for months, let alone YEARS.

Found out about how to easily get the raptor when I was level 40. I didn’t mind it 1-39 but on 40 I got annoyed, so I asked a random guy I saw ran by. Man it made 40-80 ten times more comfortable. I don’t think people will quit over it, but once they find out they will think: d’oh!! Since it’s locked after a story gate it’s hard to move it forward I guess? Perhaps they can give you a rock gazelle (temp) mount that has no abilities and runs slightly slower than all other mounts or something once you get level 20?

So much fun to read all your comments and try out different setups - appreciated guys! Level 74 now, so soon hitting 80 and unlocking ‘normal difficulty’ instead of faceroll style so far :sweat_smile:

Steam probably wants 30% of gem revenue cut, the fact that ANET doesn’t put it on steam must be because they do not expect a 43% in revenue growth (1/0,7) through steam, which probably is wrong.

I’d rather have them spend time of fixing the servers. I actually like rata sum. Best city however is that charr capital, awesome immersion for me.

Ignore the story, play the content in HOT/ POF solely so you can access all stuff. Or play the story if you like the story

Thanks, I didn't look into any of those yet - like I said I just started recently (level 31 now). Will check out more types, so far I appreciate the high dps of the ferocious pets but can imagine at a later level they become glass cannons :smiley:

Don’t have skyscale. Mostly use raptor, sometimes use gryphon.

Sure, take a break. You’ll either come back because you miss the atmosphere/ gameplay or stay away because it feels right. I myself kind of struggled with HOT - it took too much effort to complete. I didn’t like the zones and story. I quit half way and moved on to POF. Loved every second of it. Mastered the raptor, the springer, the skimmer and the jackal. Now on my last 3 objectives to get my griffon mount. Guess I’ll get back to HOT and then work on LWS2/3/4 before I get into the icebrood saga. Got the game on 16-4 and have been thoroughly enjoying it ever since. Can’t remember firing up another game since I started this so I get what you’re saying. I feel that GW2 is just fun, don’t have too many goals: progression doesn’t really matter. You can run around in the same gear 5 years from now and still do well in new content. That also means you can easily take breaks without feeling punished, which is good.

Still working my way through POF - can’t wait to start this!

Servers seem to be broken, going to be fun today

Pretty weird, I run around with a 6 ms ping. Sometimes it jumps up to 40-45, HOWEVER. When in big crowds, and I’m getting a 40-45 ping, it takes freaking 2 seconds to use a skill. How do pings work for this game? Should I multiply everything by 50 or?
