  1. Yeah that's how I feel, Soulbeast is the Virtuoso/Holosmith of Ranger since you need the support from other players.
  2. They pulse alacrity, so we have alacrity healer druid and almost every boon available on soulbeast.
  3. Yeah a buff to blade generation would be nice, I don't think it should be tied psionic skills since it would prevent any healing build. Just make if infinite forge stock at 2 second intervals, that would be fine along with letting Bladesongs be castable with no target like some people have suggested. To further my point, the big advantage a power healer would have over a condi one would be passive healing from not needing a target

  5. I have had this argument many times nothing will change their mind. I mean they have face the fact that almost every Mesmer is playing Virtuoso for most end game PvE content.
  6. I see Virtuoso almost exclusively dominate PvE events in terms of damage numbers. In random sample of 20 players they push upwards of the top 5 after everyone's burst rotation ends. The Main reason for this is you have a massive advantage in any situation: Boss goes invulnerable: attack something else at 1200 range Boss runs off: bleeds are still active Boss gets exposed: high burst utility skills and phantasms

  8. Yeah you got it: Perilous Gift +3 seconds Quickening Zephyr +6 seconds Forest's Fortification +6 seconds 15 seconds total You could trait survival for more but honestly it would have such a long cooldown if your pet died so not really worth it.
  9. Well I'm not sprinting around the map with it but I have 3 super speed applications which is very handy when trying to keep up with a zerg while barraging periodically. You have 19 seconds in total if you add them all up.
  10. You technically run both, I use Quickening Zephyr and Nature's Binding. Normally I can get a few Barrages off then run off with either quickness application + Forest's Fortification and if I might die a quick Perilous Gift (the heal) is amazing. Its really a Zerg build but you have a bit of survivability for roaming if your initial rapid fire doesn't down someone.
  11. Longbow is amazing and since you have access to so much super speed and cooldown reduction you weapon swap spam barrage twice then weapon swap to repeat all in the space of 10-15 seconds.
  12. Wouldn't both Druid and Soulbeast also be able to boon share even better since one has heals and the other 66% boon duration stance what advantage would untamed have over the other two elites?
  13. They are trying to hard to make it a brawler, they just need to rework the traits and give it 3 clear playstyles rather than trying to make the bunny thumper thing that will never happen. I mean barrior is cantrips make 0 sense for PvE just remove it and replace it will lower cooldown and an extra effect. Cleansing unleash again same problem, a bit useless PvE, just merge it with corrupting Vines and replace it. The 3% damage increase from ferocious symbiosis should count for condition aswell (unless it does already)

  15. Honestly I have tried a few times but I will never be able to maintain my high gold rank on Virtuoso or any Mesmer class for that mater. It does take a certain player to really get the most out of Virtuoso. It is definitely the most played Mesmer in high ranked and they do dominate melee/aoe match ups much like how condi pistol core theif does. The biggest risk to ranged fighter its a warrior or ranger one shoting you with a sudden CC burst. I mostly play Untamed only because I'm super good at it, it's my longest played class by along shot, although I don't play it power.
  16. That sucks, you can definitely do decent dps with untamed it just has a very low ceiling, unlike Soulbeast which has a really high damage ceiling but an unrealistic rotation. Honestly for power I just run longbow/longbow and spam barrage every 10 seconds. I can pull the same numbers as with soulbeast it just lacks burst.
  17. Honestly what ever you want unless you play very high level or have picky commander/guild you can bring anything. Find something you like and play that.
  18. PvE it is pretty bad on Untamed outside of maybe solo open world content. Soulbeast though is pretty awkward to use when you get CC'ed during a sic em rotation so in that respect Untamed has an the advantage of having slightly lower cooldowns with fervent force. The main problem is just the weird mix mash of traits which others have pointed out. There needs to be some thing untamed does to increase its dps. Maybe the Spores or unleashed trigger a damage buff rather than just siphon health.

Virtuoso is pretty good at the moment otherwise it depends on what you are good at: Memorizing simple rotations Managing resources (knowing when to use skills) A good and easy rotation is any berserker warrior or condition ranger. While classes like mesmer, firebrand, scourge are more about managing resources.
  20. You should add Virtuoso with the Inspiration trait line. Massive sustain from bleeds along with ability to further self/party heal. It probably one of the most helpful dps out there for group content.
  21. Atleast you can counter conditions, you cant do much if a ranger pet one shots you.
  22. I noticed there is a sort self imposed trinity or rock paper sizors. The aoe bunker elites get countered by ranged elites and then they are counter by roamers/chasing elites. I play a mix of bunker and ranged, so my only weakness is chasing elites like warrior or condi thief who can live through my traps.
  23. I don't think people ran them WvW often, If banners go the same way then could be worse for PVP. Honestly the biggest change if Spirits lose their unique buff is that all the golem numbers will change.
  24. The build does not rely on Spotter or Banners although I see extra critical damage which is not reflected in game which is weird.
  25. Honestly I think you might be right with this assertion. They will definitely remove the spirit effects and replace them with boon of one kind or another. It will kitten off raid and strike players but I think everyone else will be fine since I rarely see anyone run them for meta farms or fractals.
