  1. Yeah, WvW but more of a focus on DPS so I can run plenty of open world on it. I already have 2 stunbreaks with Headbutt and Outrage, and I personally like disconnecting Stunbreak from F1... Would rather use it as a pressure button.
  2. This is my current theory crafted build, I just havent made all of the gear for it yet. Honestly, I've not played Berzerker in a long time because of the lack of finishers after exiting Berzerker.

  4. I dont have these gear sets yet, but an wondering if anyone has gone and made a more defensive build of Condi Berzerker or a Celestial Warrior. I would love to hear any feedback you have before I invest in these sets. This is for open world, but wvw would be also helpful to hear about. Thanks!

  6. I was reading another thread, and it got me thinking about how Auras could be made more active, and also make each traitline more differentiated and desirable. It would also only make certain auras strong, helping to pseudo cap utility and increase ability for the Dev team to balance. The idea would be to put a minor Trait in each core trait line that makes a specific Aura do something Active. This would help to bolster core traitlines and give active uniqueness to each aura. These would not be activated dependent on what attunement you are in, but rather whatever aura is currently applied to you, creating engagement to "pop" Auras for effect. For example (and these are ideas just off the top of my head): Fire Line: make Fire Aura explode on dodge. No CD (limited by dodge energy) Air Line: Shocking Aura does high breakbar damage and 1 sec stun on Elite activation: 45 sec CD Earth line: applying magnetic aura does a point-blank aoe causing 3 bleeding stacks and 1 poison stack. 15 sec CD Water line: frost aura bursts for healing when you begin casting your heal, no CD Arcane: You gain the above benefits to auras, but they operate at 50% efficacy if you dont have those trait lines selected. If you do have those trait lines selected they operate at 150% efficacy (could vary this depending on Aura): OR gain barrier when you cast any Arcane Skill or Summon or pick up a Conjured. No CD. Elites: elites would continue to use their current traits that affect Auras. This is to make core traitlines more attractive.
  7. I would use it more if the take off jump height was higher... doubling that would help a lot.
  8. MH mace should have been added to core as a power weapon to pair with shield, and this spec should have added OH Mace or Focus, IMHO.
  9. I disagree with you on this to a degree. Ele benefits from all stats well, especially healing and more importantly can do both support/heal and dps well due to attunements. If you made ele pick between attunements, you could arguably let them specialize better and actually excel at something. I agree with you on boon support, ele is far from what it was at launch and nothing compared to current other elites, as you pointed out.
  10. I feel like Anet has not figured out how to address Ele utility while increasing a given role. This will continue to hurt Ele until they decide to do something like raise base HP, sustain, or perhaps most importantly... limit attunements with a given elite spec.
  11. There is supposed to be a balance pass on core/other elites after EoD releases I believe. This may be what was referenced, but it is all professions, not just Mesmer.
  12. This is why they should have made a spec that added vitality, added weapon swap, but made you remove an attunement or 2. This could have actually worked to cap Ele's utility in a meaningful way.
  13. I think Asura Poison Field, Human Lyssa Utility, Sylvari turret utility and turret elite are all worth using for some professions and some builds. Norn Ice Worm turret is also good if you have a character that needs a pet to tank and take some heat off. The others, Norn in particular, but also other elite racial skills like Charr Warband Elite would be more fun if they simply had reduced cooldowns for more frequent use than 360 or 240 seconds. These are simply NOT overpowered. Would love to see them at a 180 and call it good.
  14. I think Norns are best suited for Revenants b/c their racial skills suck and arent worth using ever...

So can you have the Asura mech suit Racial out and this Golem at the same time? :D This spec and thief are the only Elite specs that look like they had any thought of how they would fit together with the other specs within the profession. Golemancer at least brings a different playstyle to Engineer. I really hope that mace is condi though... enough with Power specs already. We will see how the AI goes... I am not holding my breath.
  16. I just dont see near as much CC being brought in condi berserker, so not sure how useful this would be if it is still based on CC? maybe if it did it off of soft CC also? My only issue with this is that Crackshot is not in a good tree, so any condi build will still need to take it if baseline. I say, if they are going to stick with traits, they need to split out condi weapons and put them in Arms, IE, add longbow to the sword trait. The problem with that is they become highly mandatory. I think it'd just be better to leave the autoattacks alone and default, and make them be pumped up by Arms, Berserker, and Condi gear to make them good.

Arms is Condi that relies on Critical Hits Signet trait should go back to precision instead of ferocity, unless they plan on adding more power minor and major traits to support Arms as a Power tree.... which would mean a total rework. Unsuspecting Blow should be changed to apply 1 stack of confusion for every 10 stacks of bleeding, or something similar. Dual Wield needs to affect all weapons and OH. Maybe it could work still if it made Quickness 10% more effective, sort of like how Engineers get Protection that operates at 40% dmg reduction instead of 33% Burning Arrows on Longbow auto attack need to be baseline and not in Discipline. I think that is all I would do to start to see how things play out.
  18. Crack shot just needs to be baseline for Rifle and Longbow especially! Warrior has too many weapons to give them all traits. Rifle and LB are not chosen or used as main weapons enough to warrant a trait for them.
  19. I think Body Blow should be moved to Arms. Maybe swap it with Unsuspecting Foe which might help hammer out in Strength. That or roll them into one trait in Arms.
  20. Defense needs more help on mace. 5 needs to be targetted like GS 5. I also think MH mace needs to inflict a few more conditions: MH 1 chain number 2 1 stack vuln; weakness when you hit with MH 3 . I also think MH Burst needs to inflict weakness and OH Mace 5. MH mace needs to be more than just a Break Bar that you swap to. I think some of this could be tied into the Defense Mace Trait. I think Arms would get more play if they changed signet activation back to stacking precision instead of ferocity. It would be nice to synergize defense with Arms so they could be paired together better.
  21. It seems like Anet literally did NOT give the forums of almost all professions what they were looking for. Why did they make Catalyst? It is so non-unique and offers no corrections to all of the major problems all eles have at the moment... I'm so frustrated with all of the Elite specs they have revealed so far... such a massive let down for the expansion... maybe fishing will be good...
  22. Just wanted to chip in my 2 cents. I feel let-down by all of the 3 mains I bounce between, but Willbender just seems the worst. What is this supposed to be? I just bounces around really fast... all it has is like mobility and nothing else, and no real theme. This was my triple disappointment for the new specs; shocked to say I have no desire to play any of these new specs.
  23. I just wanted to say that it is beyond disappointing to get yet another dps spec when the warrior forums have been asking for another playstyle, especially support, forever! Whether staff support or pistol/pistol support, this spec just feels lame and will end up nerfed to be yet another mediocre dps spec with nothing notable about it. This was a huge miss by Anet to give warriors what they had been asking for.
