  1. They need to be substantial, not just number tweaks and tooltip changes.
  2. Catalyst is the worst experience I have had in GW2. Multiple ridiculous timers to watch, forced attunement swaps for Hammer 3, hodgepodge of melee orb and ranged attacks, energy buildup and loss, and the usual glass base elementalist made for absolute Hell.
  3. Catalyst is very stressful, and has too many mechanics which conflict and are out of your control. Probably needs a total rework.
  4. Dragonhunter was because of the name, and Tempest did not have a huge outcry. The Catalyst fails in every single conceivably way.
  5. Yes. No idea how the Catalyst is supposed to survive on the frontline.
  6. This would be overpowered on certain professions (e.g Eng, Nec), while being meaningless on others (e.g Ele).
  7. The Catalyst is broken at a mechanical level, so I hope they make mechanical changes.
  8. Standing farming? How do they not get afk booted? Balance in this game was always...extremely slow. Sad to see that that has not changed and that staff is dead.
  9. 5 second duration on Hammer 3? Lose all energy on recalling the STATIC sphere? Horrendous range attacks and utility? This spec is a joke, right?
  10. The Catalyst gameplay is the most horrendous thing I have ever seen in GW2. Being forced to change attunement every 3-4 seconds to keep a ball spinning? A field with a cooldown, energy cost, linked to the new utilities AND which cannot be moved (is it for stationary targets only?)? Stacking aura timers (hammer has no auras) and stacking percentage buffs, which require no interruptions to maintain? 600 range tiny damage, or melee where you explode? Was any thought put into this spec?
  11. So coming back to GW2 after a few years gone, and there are a some things I have observed (world PvE, late PoF onward): - The new writing, environments, and zone interactions are amazing. Whomever wrote the NPC chatter needs a raise. - There are necros afking (botting?) in random corners in every zone. What is up with that? - There are a lot more guardians, necros, and engineers than I remember, and a lot less elementalists, warriors and thieves. - People riding dragons are flying all over the place, while I swap between multiple mounts. - Staff on my Elementalist does a lot less damage than it used to. - The new condition Weaver builds are murder on my hand and keyboard. - Blish has a very powerful arm.
  12. The Catalyst is the single worst designed spec Anet has ever done. Everything about it is wrong, and I have no idea how they can fix it. It is almost like it was designed to fight only against a giant unmoving blob using a single, set, hand-breaking DPS rotation which cannot be interrupted. After coming back to GW2, it was extremely disappointing seeing something so...negligent. Was it made with a spreadsheet? I mean, seriously...being forced to change attunements every 3-4 seconds to refresh a spinning orb? Having to refresh a stacking aura bonus every 6 seconds, without access to auras in hammer? 600 range single target attacks for tiny damage? Horrible utility chained to a stationary field with a cooldown AND energy cost? Another long cooldown elite? It is such a shame as well, because all the new Living Story I am catching up on, the areas and the dialogue are AMAZING, which probably means EoD will also be amazing.
