  1. to get a stack of mabons you need to have 10 stacks of might, if you don't get 10 might at all you will never get a mabons stack... you need 10 mabon stacks to actually activate the "empowered might" so if you never get to 10 stacks OR you get to 10 stacks 9 times but then kitten it up on the 10th time and lose all your mabons stacks it's like you don't even have a relic on
  2. i'm shocked how many people think that core ele is better than core warrior. Core ele's weapon mastery did not make NEARLY as many gains as core warrior did. Dagger, torch and pistol are insane for core warrior. Ele got what... warhorn? Not a bad weapon to get, but nothing compared to what core warrior got. i love doing that to people's arguments that are based on literally nothing so i just turn it around and it rings 100% truth as well... what did ele get? warhorn? is ok, not great not terrible 3.6 hammer? sounds great to have a weapon based on blasting fields and literally 0 fields to blast, no weapon skill is a field and you don't have cata spheres to make fields sooooo you do what exactly?... sword? sword, same as hammer having being designed around a class mechanic (unlike warriors weapons which you can pretty much use with core effectively) with long cds (air 2 is 15 sec while guard sword 2 is 8 sec, instant cast and AoE LUL) and that you don't have access to the weaver combo skills making it significantly worse than it was meant on creation... meanwhile dagger warriors still crit 10k breaching strikes in wvw LUL
  3. eeeh i wouldn't go that far... for power the choice being between thief and fireworks is not much different than having scholar as optimal... for condi i find only fractal being semi-useful, the rest are just horrible... 30 sec cd on elite use (1.5 min cd weave self) you get a nova that blasts from you giving 1 stack of torment, 1 stack bleed and 1 stack poison... i mean... yeah it's there but i personally do not call that a choice...
  4. yeah but it only lasts 8 seconds and then you lose all your stacks and gotta get to 25 again which is downtime, granted in instanced content not a lot of downtime but it is there... and then you have another 30 sec of stacking the buff again so you get that 187.5 for 8 sec out of 30 IE: you spend 30 seconds of stacking which doesn't have the bonus you only have it for 8 30 / 8 = 3.75 187.5 power / 3.75 = 50 power constantly as a bonus form the relic i am not even sure if that's how i'm supposed to calculate it but that's less than 2% bonus damage not including the possibility that you get the 10th stack in a phase where you can't actually damage the boss so it is wasted and you lost all your might after that too... it's just a horrible horrible relic...

  6. for condi dps i use fractal, don't think there is anything better than that one they all just give 1 stack of torment/poison on 30 sec cd on elite use or a bit of condi duration which is meh... with sigil of earth you can solo keep up enough bleeding stacks to proc fractal on cd reliably and the cd is 20 sec compared to the rest for power either fireworks or thief... thief is passive just more damage and to keep it up you just need to do more than auto attack once every 5 sec... for fireworks i haven't tried it enough and idk how it works with alac for healer i use monk and played around a bit with the one that cleanses allies on signet use but since arc is down i am not sure what my cleanses look like mabon is trash, if my math is correct it translates to roughly 2 stacks of might increase if you have perfect or close to perfect uptime
  7. usually i agree with you on most things but this time you said some things that are flat out wrong... for example: "it requires an additional game mechanic (cleanse)" condi doesn't "require" an additional game mechanic... the same way you can block, evade and invuln a power ability you can also block, evade and invuln a condi ability avoiding it's full damage... the "additional game mechanic" is a weakness to condi abilities which allows you , if you got hit because you didn't dodge, to completely remove the rest of the abilities damage... so your representation of this is absolutely misleading... if you hit me with an ability that does 1000 power damage and i hit you with an ability that does 200-300 power damage and 700-800 condi damage like most condi abilities and you have passive cleanse like many builds in the game do guess who is gonna die first... also: "Power should be meta, it's the most fair and fun way to play the game." uh yeah... no... that's simply a no...
  8. nvm i got the relic to test it and yes, you get a stack only once every 3 sec while you are above 10 stacks of might, so you have to stay above 10 stacks for about 30 seconds to get 10 stacks of the relic, on 10 relic stacks you get 8 seconds of boosted might and after that lose all might stacks and start stacking the relic for another 30 sec, which as i said rounded is roughly equal to a passive 60 power/condi damage increase if you permanently have 25 stacks of might through the fight absolute dog kitten...
  9. oh i haven't actually tested it but i didn't know it works like that, i thought you get a mabon stack and you need 10 of those, getting 1 stack every 3 seconds so once about every 30 sec you get the boost this kinda changes things but then your might stacks would go up and down all the time... not that it is a problem but hmm this is worth trying out now
  10. was talking with a friend about mabon and the conclusion was that it's meh... what is it? 25% for 8 seconds and then ~30 sec cd at best? that pretty much (rounding) leads to about power? IE 2 stacks of might permanently up... and you have to kinda hope the 10th proc is exactly when you need it to fully benefit while for example thief you just have to not be afk for 6 seconds to have it permanently up

  12. considering you can't pre-swap to another element while overloading how does keeping up the orbs work out? i haven't tried that... any videos?

  17. relics are pretty trash imho... some huge nerfs especially to antitoxin when harbingers and renegades still exist good luck surviving that nonsense now... the new relics are boring and/or trash... can you add more "on elite use" please? my 2 minute cd elite skill really needs the 3stacks of poison to become viable...
  18. i mean they pre-nerfed ele already yesterday, no? lightning orb damage got gutted and cyclone hits one target only once now so pretty much dead on arrival...
  19. anything can be mastered... just some things are easier to master thanks to their forgiving nature...
  20. reason willbender isn't being nerfed is the same as why harbingers aren't being nerfed, the same as why thiefs aren't being nerfed... bad players stick to them like glue because they are easy to play, extremely forgiving and gives them sense of accomplishment when facerolling... keeps players happy and keeps them playing the game...

  22. Can we fix abilities that do their PvE damage in WvW already? There are abilities like breaching strike and leap of faith that do obscene damage in WvW because they are still using their pve coefficients...
