  1. The shared inventory slot that came with HoT requires having a HoT key. It's basically unobtainable now.
  2. You have to complete the mastery: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Skimming_the_Depths
  3. PoF + EoD already exists as the collection. They'll probably just rename it, lower the price and drop it down to 1 booster/shared slot. That's what they did to HoT (there was originally an actual HoT + PoF bundle that gave 2 boosters/slots).
  4. Good enough. That's (18.195.56.239) not the IP for EU. So double check what Google gives you for an address: nslookup tradingpost-fra-live.ncplatform.net 8.8.8.8
  5. Open a command prompt and enter the command: nslookup tradingpost-fra-live.ncplatform.net It should give a response like this: You should have the same addresses (3.65.68.1 and 18.194.119.131). If you do and you can't access humans.txt, you don't have a connection to EU / it's being blocked. If they're different, your DNS is outdated, so switch to Google.
  6. The -fra- part varies by country, so you can't rely on what someone else posted, unless you're NA, then everyone is -dfw-. If you can't access -fra-, you can't access the EU web server. tradingpost-live for comparison is either EU or NA, depending on which you're closer to. Since you can access that one, you're either NA, or your DNS for -fra- is wrong, or -fra- is being blocked. Compare your DNS: nslookup tradingpost-fra-live.ncplatform.net With Google's DNS: nslookup tradingpost-fra-live.ncplatform.net 8.8.8.8 If they're both have the same addresses, you know your DNS is okay. If they're different, your DNS provider is outdated. Also, clear the cache, as it can actually cache blank pages. Delete all folders beginning with gw2cache from the %temp% folder, or run the command: for /d %n in (%temp%\gw2cache-*) do rd /S /Q "%n"
  7. The "fra" part will vary by country. The default (NA) is tradingpost-dfw-live.ncplatform.net, and everyone uses tradingpost-live.ncplatform.net. For a quick test, you can access humans.txt in your browser (https://tradingpost-live.ncplatform.net/humans.txt, dfw, fra). If you can access guildwars2.com, it's the same server as these addresses. Flush your DNS.
  8. Look in the folder for a ~40 MB Gw2-64.tmp and rename it to Gw2-64.exe. When GW2 updates itself, it swaps between those 2 files - it can fail to swap it back.
  9. Did you not follow a guide? It takes roughly 2 hours a day for 4 days to unlock the skyscale. Playing through the story takes longer.
  10. You're getting those errors because they have logging enabled. Those errors are nothing. "Received invalid headers" basically just means the page changed before it finished loading (it requested a file and received a response after it was no longer needed). The other just informs you which renderer it's using (it'd be like GW2 having an error saying it's using DX11).
  11. It's not about different modes or slots, it's about having multiple legendaries like weapon types and armor weights. For example, "legendary [core] relic" for the current rune bonuses, "legendary [expansion] relic" for SotO relics, or "legendary [scholar's] relic" to transition to a stat unlock system.
  12. DX9 and CoherentUI were removed. -dx9 is specifically what causes the crash that was posted (No valid case for switch variable 'grInterface'). If you're still crashing, you have a different problem. First remove any old addons by opening the folder where Gw2-64.exe is located and deleting everything except Gw2-64.exe and Gw2.dat. In the address bar of the folder, enter %appdata% and press enter. It should take you AppData\Roaming. There should be a Guild Wars 2 folder with a Local.dat file inside it. Delete the Guild Wars 2 folder. Launch using the -windowed option. For a few people, there is no solution. GW2 now requires DX11, so if your GPU is 10+ years old, your options are getting a new one, streaming or quitting.
  13. That would likely make it worse. The reason it has to be delayed is because they're obviously going to require you to obtain the new relics first, the last of which won't be available until the 3rd map is released. If they were to delay relics entirely, that only shifts all of the work to the final map and you'd still lose the ability to swap until you crafted it. All they have to do is fake a legendary relic by offering a vendor that sells free core relics, then you'd still be able to change bonuses whenever you wanted.
  14. What for? They confirmed having all 7 isn't required. The extra rune will probably just let you skip 1 of the relic collections.
  15. You want them to leave runes as is and not unlock the relic slot? They're not going to hold back the expansion relics for this, and I wouldn't be surprised if they're required, as they could easily be replacements for masteries. If they were willing to leave runes as is and do expansion relics, they would have simply given them separate slots to avoid the problem entirely, but I guess they're saving that very obvious next slot for the next expansion. The best they could do now is offer a legendary core relic that could be upgraded to a legendary relic or have an additional legendary expansion relic. Either way, it would cause complaints and would mean all future stat additions could be rolled out in this way. The simplest option is just offering a temporary vendor with every core relic for free, accessible to those with 6+ legendary runes. Good enough?
  16. Because it's not equal. If they had given rune bonuses their own slot and relics their own slot, then they could have simply given the legendary rune bonus for having 6 runes. By merging them, it'll need to effectively cost 6 runes + a legendary relic, so another 2000g or whatever on top. Considering how it's being implemented, the goal is to create a sink, so expect the worst. All problems could have been avoided if relics were simply account unlocks.
  17. It's no different from adding a new slot. Rune bonuses could have had their own slot, then they could have given the legendary for simply having 6 runes and not had a legendary relic. By merging them, they'll simply require crafting the 7 legendary runes and completing the relic collections. It's just a way to get you to do all of them.
  18. They could give a legendary core relic now, but they wouldn't give a legendary obscure relic without playing through their collections, as there would be no point in them.
  19. Probably never. They didn't mention lowering the cost of the runes, so it would be a permanent thing. Making a legendary relic could be as simple as unlocking all expansion relics and having 7 legendary runes. If they were going to adjust it however, then it'd lock when they change the bonus on runes; likely with the launch of the expansion.
  20. Considering expansion relics are unlocked from achievements, the legendary expansion relic will likely require unlocking all of them first, so even if it was available at launch, it wouldn't be obtainable until the end of the expansion. What they can do however is give the legendary core relic up front, but that would confirm that each expansion would have its own legendary relic.
  21. DX9 was finally removed, so that's not going to be possible anymore. If you want to prevent arc from loading on alt accounts, Settings > Guild Wars 2 > Management > Enable localized execution, full, exclude addons, and select to exclude the accounts you want arc on.
  22. The value of legendary runes doesn't need to change. If relics are unlocks, 6 legendary runes only need to unlock all of the rune relics. If relics are equipment, they only need to not move the 6 piece bonus off of runes, but rather to a relic bonus on the runes themselves, which could then be equipped as a relic. Announcing compensation would actually be a worst case scenario, as it would mean they went with a poor implementation with a focus on creating a grind.
