  1. Thanks for the response. Not been having issues connecting to forums, but combat does get difficult with this popup interrupting constantly.

I would argue it takes MORE time and effort to get WvW legendary armor compared to PvE, since as pointed out, it takes much more time to grind, both day to day and timegate wise, whereas you CAN speedup PvE leggy if you played hardcore and smart enuf. That being said, WvW Leggy armor is significantly cheaper in terms of direct gold cost, even IF you bought the crafting mats for Grandmaster Marks/MoB directly off TP (the latter of which is extremely unlikely). However, once we go back and reexamine WvW economy versus PvE economy...the WvW cost being lower isn't much of an advantage, the opportunity cost of grinding PvE profit far outpaces the cost saved by doing WvW armor. I'm ok with them not reducing the costs/effective timegating, tho I wish it incorporated more variables like Badges of Honor (maybe like...25k of those?), and then once you spread out the currency cost, end up with something slightly shorter of 14-16 weeks instead of "if completely solo hardcore 100% farm" 22 weeks (19 if you skipped the MoB grind and just bought whatever you are missing).
  3. Yup, pretty much every build imaginable is OP, and any class with mobility/speed boost is OP. About sums it up, its typical player V player balance issues. Welcome to League of Lege-. Oh...
  4. Aye, easier to make Ascended Cele trinkets to transfer across builds/toons, and just specialize with weapons/armor. Still firmly believe the proper way of nerfing cele is to simply blast its Concentration stat, but prefer it completely untouched in PvE.
  5. Ye Dragon's End can be frustrating, on occasion Ive seen the Kick Timer go at XX:45 when the Meta Timer ends at X2:00, so you could potentially be kicked out right as Soo Won is at 5%. That being said...Ive never seen it happen, either the squad gets her in 40- mins, or ppl just taxi in from the other instance that supposedly had more ppl, but no1 willing to tag up there, so the pop shifts back to the tagged meta map, or the overflow comes to the tag that doesnt have a full map, which is again, the one we wud theoretically be in. In reality, the only way to avoid this is to go in with an entire squad all at once instead of trickling in 1 by 1, I see this happen regularly happen at the Jade Gate in Echovald, just a DE squad bunched there waiting for the signal from the comm, commonly their squad message is something like "X > DE, wait at Jade Gate, we force new map at XX:00". So, this kind of squad is probably your best bet, if you really just can't make it work for DE otherwise.
  6. You incorrectly assume I referred to Willbender as "meta". Stop watching clickbait youtube videos that conflate "Strong" "Insanely powerful" with "the most broken build you've ever seen!!!". Also, your entire essay is literally the same thing I said, just with more words. Well, everyone sees FB/DH waaaaaay more than WB in every piece of PvE content. The ratio of Guardian players who don't touch WB in PvE is astounding, but yes, its absolutely perfectly fine, just hated and reviled in any PvP game mode, especially WvW, and completely neglected and forgotten in PvE.
  7. TLDR: WB is strong in PvP settings, very niche and borderline bad in PvE. Willbender is insanely powerful in PvP/WvW as a dueling class with high mobility. In PvE it has high raw dmg, and personal boon generation like basically perma capped Fury and Might, but those are the only 2 things it can do. Its terrible at sharing/giving boons, its elite spec utility skills are garbage except for Whirling Light, and the Elite skill is extremely lackluster with overlong wind up time. Taking any defensive specs, swapping out Zeal/Radiant will absolutely murder your DPS, and Willbender is also receiving an out of the blue Nerf instead of Adjustment in the upcoming May patch. I highly recommend playing WB in PvP if you dont want to play Thief but want something similar, otherwise do NOT recommend WB for PvE at all. That being said, going zoomzoom is REALLY fun, so if you wanna force WIllbender, play it in Open World.
  8. Ye it can be very overwhelming if you just started or returned. Personally, to alleviate these OCD/anxiety/worries, Ive been taking Liberator's Vow/Weighty Terms since Feb 2023 patch, I just need to spam within a good range of targets and thats really it for Mantra skills. I regularly drop Tome 2 Skill 4 for an AoE heal on my team. and then its just unga bunga Tome 1 Condi time. Obviously not that simple for optimization, but its how I dealt with the "wait what am I doing"/
  9. Who gives a donkey about who or what Yao is? Im too busy yelling at people to throw CC during Soo Won fight, and rezzing peeps who didnt get out of an AoE in time. Everything being the same shade of green, map feeling empty, and the enormous amount of BUGS when Im hunting Achieves are my biggest annoyances. You guys are finding politics everywhere in EoD, because you are looking for it, just ignore/deal with it.
  10. As a new player, I can tell you that leveling up to 80 gets you EVERY core skill/trait you want without doing any Hero Point whatsoever, exactly 0 leftover. As for annoying to level class for boosting, maybe Ele/Mesmer? Necro/Ranger are definitely very forgiving, and people who play Revenant tell me the rotation is extremely simple, at least in Open World.
  11. Seeing as how you have 2x Heavy/2x Medium classes, either you can play 2x Light or just that number to 3x Heavy/3x Medium. Also, the items will still work even if your toons are level 80 and you don't want to make more, you simply lose some of the stuff, it still gives the beginner Celestial gear bundle AND teleports you to SIlverwastes.
  12. Willbender already desperately needs PvE buffs, especially Powerbender... So of course PvE WB is nerfed instead of WvW, time to drop Alac PowerBender as main class in Open World, yay!
  13. Respectfully, no. Me and many others will happily scamper around the map, take camps, escort dolyaks, run to sword-icons to check, refresh siege where we see them, and make call outs like "30 Green, Cata 4x South Bay". None of this requires a blob, in fact in large fight guilds we are just taking up valuable squad space. Communication? We literally just announced in Team Chat, sometimes we repeat it, if you don't catch it, then even being in a Discord VC won't help you notice either, since clearly the squad/comm isn't paying attention, or is holding off responding in favor of completing something else. If you think having an extra 10 people in addition to the 45+ you already have will help you make the final push into SMC lord room and finish the capture, then call us and we will come. The way the thread was worded, it feels like "you are all playing WvW wrong if you are not physically on the tag at ALL times". Cannot agree with this. PS. I don't see people complaining about bad comms, on my server all we see is "any tags"? LOL Complaining about bad tags feels like a 1st world WvW problem, we kitten low backwater servers don't have this issue that often. (...why is urine censored??)

  15. 1. Thats Heart of Thorns, not Path of Fire. 2. Theres an NPC by the north most Waypoint that teleports you back to the chamber with the twin spirals, which the game tells you. 3. You don't need to finish the story except for some small rewards, since you seem to be trying to speedrun it.

As long as Anet doesnt nerf WB in PvE (its garbage there), then I can deal with any reasonable nerf to Willy in PvP, having less ppl play the class I like just makes it all the more unique anyway. Still, preferably plz dont touch mobility...nerfing willy mobility just means reducing it identity, since its Alac sharing is garbage, and its condi is <<< FB, it wud become too similar to DH. Willy seems designed with mobility in mind, while sacrificing everything else. If we nerf Willy mobility then the class has no purpose of existing anymore, we can just double down on taking other stuff away like Boon generation or Power ratios only in PvP settings.
  17. Ocean-Fresh Sashimi North location still bugged, waited for over 20 mins there and Sakda/Miju just didn't show up at all, just me and 4 employees staring into the void. Actually got an instance change prompt, tapped that, entered new instance and saw North employees as well, waited another 20 mins without switching tabs/screens. It's hard to be trolled by the supposedly "only a few seconds allowed to interact bug" when the event itself just doesn't seem to spawn at all. I check Reddit/Forums and it just seems EoD achieves are near impossible to achieve due to bugs galore, plz fix...

Return to Jahai Bluffs Tier 3 only requires 10 achieves completed, I firmly do not believe people claiming they are time-gated by life schedule are actually hard locked from completing Tier 3 and thus getting fast currency, not to mention farming it slowly is an option as well, just extremely tedious, so "hard locked" is a myth. 3 resource node achieve + Jumping Puzzle + Renown Hearts + 3 story missions prior to Storm Tracking = 8/10, that you can do on your own flexible time. 2 out of the remaining 6 isn't exactly difficult, and if you are prioritizing farming the above 8 when somebody is doing 1 of the 6, that's on you. And no, you do NOT require Storm Tracking finished to access episodes 5/6, you can simply start the other 2 episodes, and if OCD prevents you from skipping episode 4, even tho you want Skyscale so badly...well that's still on you. That being said...if people don't report this, its not going to get fixed. People are getting shafted (some of them by themselves), its easy to be forgiving to the devs when the issue doesn't affect you, or you don't care, but the people who are having their gaming experience hampered deserve to voice their frustration, because an annoying bug IS still an annoying bug.
  19. TL;DR: Recommend at least putting WvW infusions on your current ascended Trinkets. So you can get a cap of 20% dmg to guards/lords with the mastery fully upgraded. There is 1% bonus dmg to guards/lords for each WvW infusion, max is 18 slots if I recall wiki data correctly. 138% dmg to guards, versus 120% dmg to guards, IS a pretty big number difference if u ask me, as its nearly doubling the bonus dmg. (Maybe there are even more bonus dmg sources, but Im too new to know as of right now.) Thats kinda a big deal for roamers, since you probably wont expect much support from your team, and must rely on your own dmg to blitz down an objective, capture it, then escape/move on asap. In conclusion, not a bad idea to slot some infusions as they arent too expensive, and they do help.
  20. Appreciate that there's been a response, but this bug is weeks old and is progression breaking to a lot of people, it needs to be refreshed constantly,. Promises of a fix do not mean we actually have it yet.

I like the fact that theres a guy going around Confuse/Disliking almost every comment on that other post that disagrees with that guy, yet he here is complaining that he is being Confuse/Dislike spammed. All I see here is a guy who got his defense achieves already and did benefit from said "lazy exploit" prior to the change, who is happy to see the bridge that he already crossed, burned.
  22. I dislike having objectives instantly repair themselves, whenever an upgrade or flip occurs, wud love for the damage to carry over, tho the 5 minutes of lord/supervisor being immune to dmg alone might not be enuf defense bonus, if this change occurs.
  23. Its funny, sometimes when getting a successful kill right outside the walls, we dont get defense credit either. So are we supposed to intentionally allow enemies in, seal off their easy escape, and then make sure they die inside the walls just for defense credit now?

Honestly, since SMC repair seems to be the clear issue here, I dont see why we cant just up the repair amount needed to proc defense credit for SMC alone, or make it stop giving roughly half my exp bar the moment I even touch the wall. That is way too much wxp for nothing done, and Im starting to see why theres always a que for EBG now, the exploit gives so much exp for anyone holding SMC and half afk repairing. In the case of my server, if we have SMC, sometimes even Home BL gets neglected, EBG queue is 60 ppl long, and every structure we have is still falling apart. People dont even venture out to protect camps anymore, which is ironic because camps are where the repair supps come from anyway, so me and a few others always have to make supply runs and often get run down by other world camping their respective closer camps with 10+ ppl while we 5- cant do anything, and our supply lines get cut. Personally, I wud love for the SMC defense get nerfed, but we keep wall repair credit, its so hard to do anything, when the whole evening theres just that 1 trashy guild zerg that every server knows exist.
  25. We need more ways to proc defense credit, I cant believe doing all the work and then finally getting to dismantle enemy siege doesnt even count, this is madness! Also that freaking WvW mastery system and point reset sytem lmao, old players dont bother re-speccing and new players like me have nothing to even spec into, whats the fudging point?
