  1. You need to 100% everyting on all core maps - so yes all vistas, POI, hero poits and Hearts on a map. Hearts are very quick in most core maps though. Just remember that Dry Top, Silverwastes and Southson are not required maps. And don't forget the Chantry of Secrets
  2. I didn't really look at the advantages...
  3. Gameplay often has to trump lore or the game wouldn't work. In this case, spamming skills without cooldowns would be a balancing impossibility. If you could keep blocking over and over, what's the downside? We'd need a way to counter that and that means durability or positional attacks. And that would change GW2's combat completely Also, a lot of it magic based. It's not too big a leap to imagine needing the time to focus the magic and energy into the skill if you need a reason for those type of skills In this case, the gameplay over lore is an acceptable reason and it works better because of it. It would be a different game otherwise
  4. Not counting leviathan is a weird take. The skiff is used to take off its armour, but it’s designed thrm to fight underwater. People choosing to fight on its back (never seen that) or in other ways is a player thing. It was designed as an underwater fight.
  5. Mostly. Cantha waters have mobs in them like Naga and Kappa just to populate them, but the rest of the above just have the usual fish, jellyfish, drake broodmothers etc. They’re not completely empty, but there’s nothing engaging or worthwhile in them either. Ember Bay and Sandswept Isles were missed opportunities. And Draconis Mons has some very cool boiling seas which exists only to add authenticity to the geography and kill players wandering into it
  6. There is in fairness the Adolescent Leviathan which is the only real underwater mob they added and is a boss in Cantha/End of Dragons. You can also use skimmers (above/below) and skiffs to traverse water, which serves mostly to skip any annoying mobs. There was a brief attempt to do something with a rather poor implementation of adding swimming infusions and ascended breathers. It didn’t go anywhere HoT has an underground river with virtually nothing in it PoF has a bit of coastline with nothing in the water EoD has Leviathan and an underwater ruins with some lore SoTo has some ponds TDLR: It was dropped and never returned to. Sadly. I don’t think the Water Dragon even got her feet wet
  7. I think Kryptic essence is always an over rewarded currency. I can’t see how more sources is going to produce more enthusiasm to abandoned content. Dungeons were scrapped in favour of other types of instances and they exist mostly as archived, legacy content. Any incentives come from the legendary gifts or unique skins. If they aren’t enough, essences certainly won’t be. DRMs don’t really need revitalising either. Unpopularity aside, they are fully completable as solo content. Challenge modes are more difficult, but as optional content and with guilds prob able to organise groups easily enough, I don’t see it necs to incentivise them
  8. Check your followers list for anyone you recognise Guilds collapse from internal drama or support sees a major naming violation. So that would likely leave a stance on repping if it’s not those. People get weirdly antsy on not 100% rep. Theres no way of knowing without asking ‘someone’ though
  9. Either support “might” tell you or an officer formerly of the guild. Have you asked the other ex-members?
  10. I’d like the home instance stone to have a menu to select which home instance we go to. That would help aid with worrying about different placements
  11. Ignore the doom and gloom. Yes SoTo had a couple of wobbly updates, but two more expacs are on the way. GW2 is going nowhere for a few years and with a stacked back catalogue of content, worries and concerns are unnecessary
  12. First week of June would suit me. I have a week off. If Anet could get on that, that would be swell Thanks in advance
  13. If I'm reading the wiki rotation right, it should be up as a daily on Tuesday. That seems a good day to do it. Also, if you are here asking for help, a reminder to say whether you are EU or NA
  14. Bad ping / skill lag for me comes from two sources; 1) A problem Anet's end. That tends to be widespread though. There's nothing you can really do about it if it's an isolated issue with them other than report it. Last time I got it was when everyone piled into Golem MK 2 for a weekly and everyone could barely attack. It went after boss died 2) Too much load my end like downloads, streaming or background updates.
  15. The conspiracy agents are drumming up noise that the backtrack by the NCSOFT person means it def, absolutely means its happening and we need to get over it. Forgetting of course we've been here more than once before with the "GW3 is in definite development" discussion. No announcement, no confirmation, no news. Just speculation on a game of unknown genre that may or may not happen by the end of this decade and may or may not replace or sit alongisde GW2. Maybe I think people just need to move on and play what's in front of them personally and worry about the future when it arrives
  16. I'll decide about it when I actually see a screenshot or video of GW3 not vague business talk at a meeting. And at best that will prob be towards the end of the decade if ever. I'm still waiting on single player games announced in 2019 😉 So no, I wont be worrying about. Good grief it's a video game
  17. Invisble walls tend to exist only at the edge of the map or where a cliff exists that clearly isn't traversable anyway. Where are you encountering mid map invisible walls?
  18. Yeah if you dont need the baubles I understand that. I usually trade up after world 1 for bauble baubles then head to World 2 with a clear wallet
  19. I do. Mega bomb takes the red ones out without breaking stride, so yeah it's an easy 5 baubles now the ammo system is in place. WHite ones I usually ignore Before this year I ignored them and dodged through
  20. Griffon is already well attuned in terms of flight. I would like it to have a fireball though, just for funsies. It's flight capabilities otherwise far outstretch the skyscale in some respects except from a standing start and its necessary for it to have a drawback. I will advocate for more updraft points in other areas though - perhaps only visible for those with SoTo to avoid confusion Just In case you arent aware of its capabilities, see this magnificent SoTo video trailer from one of the leading Griffon flyers inthe community. Her guild has many more such skilled vids. You can clearly see how good the griffon can be with practice. It has a high skill ceiling, but can do so much more than is credited with
  21. Test zone fully completed. You can release the next zone next year now. Thanks 😉
  22. I much prefer the new ammo system, but an extra ammo or slightly better cooldowns would be appreciated. It's not a big thing tho. I get its retro and resource conservation is going to be a lot more strict
