Just had a rank game today where I had the pop but my duo never had it, he thought I had logged in a private server, in match only 2 players were logged in on my team, other team had all 5.. we were only duo so I asked the only other logged in player , Sean ces, and he didnt lose rating since 'dc' but me and my duo lost both lots of rating for a game that never happened on his screen, he only suddenly had dishonor and lost rating... Fun bug at end of season . That was my main account'rating in plat 3 too

Nightmare actually, happened to my duo, so we had 3 players that never had the q pop , I was in the game he wasnt, so we both lost rating, on my main tryhard account btw... He never saw even game pop and suddenly had dishonor and we both lost rating cause duo.

Don't use meta builds for silver gold, meta means most efficient, it assumes you play the build to its full potential, which is not possible for newer players, even 'veterans' in some cases. Basically ask around in game or in forum what is the best build for carrying a new player in rank. I could suggest a few but might not be the best ones since I haven't been in that rating range since forever. What I can say is you should probably stick to a dps teamfighter spec since thats the one with the easiest rotation, just follow teamfight. Roamers and sidenoders need more map awarness. Among dps in low rating you should prob stick to something tanky with low apm, tanky specs are often condi because of the amulet design. Something like necro minionmancer would have worked at that rating for a beginner in the past , maybe still would work a bit in silver early gold. But I'm sure lower rated players on the forum can give you their secret sauce to ez carry specs in gold.

The part about sharing stories while cooking for friends hit awfully close to the mark xD I even briefly wondered if you knew who I was irl to say that. Always happy to a meet fellow 'play for fun' enjoyer ^^ and Ty for compliment.

The targeted audience, the forum warriors, are the biggest GW2 joke to me. I don't see any problem with them assuming wrong things from this video ^^

Yeah this build is actually horrible to carry in rank , it is fun though ^^ and that's all I'm about , also got a clip of Anya and his duo getting both one shot together by one overheat (16k and 19k ) while flying through the air with rocket boots, that made my day.

Just wondering if we shouldnt buff cata , poor scepter cata has 15k hp only on the kinda weak but popular build some poor ele mains play lately. This OP engi spec can kill a cata even if it,s hp pool was doubled, so let's double it ^^

Slick shoes isn't at all the same as blast gyro, slick shoes being way way more kitten to good players because it is not dodgeable and instant cc after casting it, so like tycura said if the skill is cast on top of you it's guaranteed cc that can cc you twice and basically is one shot by a good player If you don't have a stunbreak or invuln. Blast gyro never ever was a prob and prob never will be because of the huge delay till cc with big red animation

Forum's pepos are getting crazier every time I check... Yeah Phoenix literally stream everyday his ranked game , he has more than 300 games played and already got every titles he could want but ofc his winrate this season is wintrading. Makes so much sense lmao. You guys need to start consulting, the madness is getting worse.

I have more than 10k ranked games and saw only once a confirmed guaranteed attemp at wintrading from a player, saw some shady afk but thats not enough to call wintrading. On the other hand roughly every 10 game there is a Trevor like player calling wintrading when his team gets snowballed and some player on his team decides to afk after feeding 1v3 a few times.

That is so lame , salty and not accurate <_< I wasted time trying to bring common sense and facts into what seems to be a gathering of players unsatisfied about their rating. But ofc it's not your skill that's the issue ^^ it's the matchmaking, wintrading, dodging, duo queuing and meta class abuse. Otherwise ofc you would be up there too. Delusions at it's finest lol.

Ofc awareness is important I have never said otherwise, like a virtuoso side noder should make sure to rotate around the enemy bladesworn since it's his hard counter, BUT!!!! Dueling skills make a huge difference too, it's not a coincidence this season top 1 will be Phoenix again and the guy spends all his time in dueling servers more than in rank. For exemple me as a rev main bs should crush me at equal skill lvl but I farm most plat 1 bladesworn because they are terrible duelist. Same with my cata that is countered by bs too. Map awareness about is huge, expecting respawn, rotating according to your role and map state etc. But if can't 2v1 a spec you counter what does it all matter. You will lose still.

For the core necro thing, it's nothing unrealistic, ping barely matters on necro specs, and getting to p1 may seem impossible to your average gold 2-3 player complaining plat player are wintrading or dodging, but to actual top plat players that have hundreds if not thousands of hours in dueling servers, plat 1 is the chilling spot for ez games. At least to me it's the rating I like to hang out when I'm drinking or solo q on meme spec like Chrono.

People already complain a lot about the rally system, if you make it even more powerful it will technically nerf any ranger build from team fighting.

@andreiblue.8231 decay doesnt affect rating for the match making, otherwise it would be way too unfair and would allow countless abuse. So if you are in plat but decayed to gold, your rating badge is gold, on leaderboard you are in gold, but for the match making it still considers the actual rating you have withoutbthe decay effect. And yes the system tries to affect you with players not too far from your rating, but sometimes when a plat 3 players q, they don't have enough plat players queuing to make a game so some gold players get with them, usually if the q takes longer the algorithm start matching rating further apart. So a 10 min q at 3 am in the morning may have silver vs plat but at peak hour Saturday night, you should plat with plat, gold with gold etc. For stats, this is something beginners struggle to understand but they barely mean anything, for exemple a legend players carrying in a team full of silver carrying by getting kills everywhere on the map faster then enemy team can respawn may only have top kill but will not get top dmg since his fight are short by getting kill fast, won't get top healing because he is actually dodging/negating the dmg, no offense or def stat cause it's best left to lower rated players that have less value roaming on the map. Or another scenario is the best players on your team is just trolling 2-3 players far off node almost entire game just kiting around. He will not get any stats but he is the one that carried your team to victory, for sure no question asked because even without getting the node or getting kills , he left rest of his team in a 4v 3-2 . So that's why stats are informative but definitely not a reason valid enough to say a player did good or bad. Sometime the best player on team gets 0 top stats and the worst players on team get all top stats and still believe he is the reason they won even though he got carried hard.

3 Factors to amount of point loss/gained. 1. The amount of game you have played that very season in rank, the more games the more stable your rating is, and first games can make you lose/win 40+ to get your basic Elo, which is why you better try hard first games. 2. The rating total of both team, if other team is full of gold silver and you are plat you might get a third or half of what you usually get for a win, lowest I got was 2 pts for a win but I know people that got 1 point for a win. 3. Your rating, the higher rated you are the more you lose in one loss and the less you win with a win, no matter the rest of the player's rating, for example in plat2+ even if other is rly top players and you have bad players, if you lose, you still lose at the very least 15-25 pts and a win is between 4-12, plat 3 us obviously worse, usually 4-5 wins to negate one loss, where as plat1 gold 3 is like equal ratio, 15-15 lose 15 win 15 roughly (excluding other factors mentioned above).

Meta is made for and with competitive lvl gameplay so ofc in the lvl of gameplay shown in that video, your build and some meme build like rifle mech sometimes get better result. Your build wouldn't carry a single game in plat 3 plat 2 . No offense. For example the cata you beat 1v1 was using wrong weapon, wrong heal, and even if was meta cata, clearly didn't know how to play the spec. A proper hammer cata main would 100-0 that tempest build, and that's why cata and bs are the meta sidenoders. Not tempest
