Iron.4372's Achievements

  1. It's awesome, that those turtles are so floppy - powerful, awesome, huge, but after you jump.... and there is.... landing... landing... Cool feeling 😄
  2. That's right, but that's different type of gameplay. Right now we have 3,5 types of gameplay - PvP, WvWvW, PvE, Team-Meta-PvE. 3 are common-known, but the last one belongs to the combination of high-focused teams which clearly are untouchable by Story-Lovers/Solo players. I remember, that there were always meta-dedicated High-End like Urgoz/Kanaxai/UWSC/FoWSC/DoA, but it was non-dependable for specialized skills/build and teamplay. I don't know... it was simpler to change skills/attributes only, but not the whole equipment. Maybe not too complicated as it is now. You know, I'm not complaining, because it's different game right now, just pointing to "Play as you want" 😉
  3. I have only Legendary Weapons, because I hate raids and prefer solo-play, which is sad, because game was supposed to play as you want. I would love to spend hundreds/thousands hours for farming Legendary armor in PvE :<
  4. What I would like to suggest - connect people in GW1 & GW2 - let them talk - that would make a great content to Guilds and Social Activity. There are a lot of people who would love to play GW1 once-not-so-often, but with some people around that would make a great opportunity to engage them more often. Combining 2 playerbases - GW1xGW2 would be a great option - imagine a Launcher connected to both accounts, that you can just switch games. Also thinking about getting some backca$h - another opportunity to get people to get into Guild Wars 1
  5. I would like to see Luxons and Kurzicks again, also the consequences of the changes in Kaineng and Cantha.Would love to see come back of Fort Aspenwood and Jade Quarry, farming some Faction, get some good-looking armour and get some weapons connected to Factions. If I may guess - there will be 2 Raids connected to Urgoz and Kanaxai, which may of course be the Champions of the Deep Sea Dragon. So many guesses, so many thinkings, I would like to be shocked the same way, that I was shocked in 2006...
  6. As returning Old-School-Beta-Player I would like to suggest, that what is every MMO/Game problem is connecting generations of players with new and old ones. There are a lot of great games around, but there is always a problem:a) Get new playersb) Keep active playersc) Create new contentD ! ) Keep going to MAKE ALIVE players between XXX-NUMBER of ZONESc) Add new content, that connects new and veterans Creating new content > Robe a Xunlai Storage
  7. That's great to hear a news about State of the Game! I would like to share some memories, as I play Guild Wars since 2005 - still remember the best Quality of Life impovements in the game industry - double the fun - Lockpicks mechanic, lucky/unlucky system, intoducing Vanquisher/Guardian titles. Generally - It was Hard Mode. Yes, I remember, that it was all about instances, closed, with hero/hench, read thousands of posts about pros/cons and possiblilities of introducing it to Guild Wars 2. But, to the point. People love achievements, loot, increasing progress (had those crazy 42 PvE maxed titles in Guild Wars 1). Most of the hardest ones were account bound - it took time. There is repeatable content, achievements across the Account, achievements by Season, the exact type - THOUSANDS ! Guild Wars 2 is a great game, but it lacks of LIFETIME achievement connected to whole game. People love this little-little achievements just from playing the game. I remember it keeps me playing at the beginning - 2012/2013 to get this weapon/creature slaying achievements - for example. So... What about little things, that made Guild Wars repeatable across the maps, everywhere (buyable expensive keys and introducing of lucky/unlucky system) - via Chests located across the world. Increasing Luck etc.
  8. Even that I would welcome more than ignoring things altogether. You don't know, if they are ignoring things - they're working the best they can. You can't show a random girl a Diamond Ring, that You were working for 6 months. You don't know what's going on inside ;)
  9. I think the best way to introduce Hard Mode in GW1-Style in GW2-Style would be fantastic idea, but there is always "but" . Basing on the latest news - current Living World team's working on new events to old maps. It may happen in different instance OR it will happen everywhere, like Kessex Hills during LS1. That leaves open doors to stand a question - Maybe it will be Hard Mode for different instance of the map? The other side - that would mean - small/no new lore/maps - depending on current resources.
  10. It's not dying or ending - it's evolving. There are a lot of people who played Guild Wars 1/2, there are a lot of people who tried/never played. The perfect mix lies in the veteran-new-casual-lifetime players expectation. You can't satisfy everyone - there are lore lovers who would love to get new lore every week, but that's not satisfying to achievement-masters by this. You can spend 6 months on new specialisation, but lore lovers would hate you. I think this is the greatest problem of any MMO, hope GW1, GW2 will make it's stand to conquer rivals :)
  11. You should start this kind of pools after 1-2-3-4 weeks after and checked out the results. That would make sense ;)
  12. As we finished with Elona, plot about Abbadon is over (according to the Anet words) so Margonites are IMO out of questions - maybe as one level in Fractals. But it would need a lot of model/animation work, skills, etc. IMO UW combat is more-directional - on the land You have around 8 directions + jumping/dodging, in UW multiply it by many times and translate it to specific DMG, next iterations blah, blah, blah. If there is any plan to improve UW combat/moving/mounts it would take a long time to work on it. There were few examples of ice effect on the ground, but it's 0-1 choice - sliding or standing. Maybe there would be better to give some slowmotion/delay to movement. If there would be something like this "Compedium" of LS Tomes it should cost at least the same amount of gems as 3 shared inventory slots. So I guess price should be around 2000 gems for Tome like that. ANet need to have profit for change/solution time and additional for people, who buying/bought shared inventory slot. But IMO there are too many places to TP, more "clicks" needed. I think, that we need some "New Mechanics Map" like it was with Bloodstone - it's a great map to relax. Maybe something like Multilayer map with 1 Layer/ 1 EP model. For example - in Episode 1 - a ground level, - Episode 2 - skies, Episode 3 - underground. LW2 was great with Dry Top/Silverwastes, with mounts it would be great. Imagine: Huge mount - A huge earth-drilling Dino with Quaggan look and You're digging to another chamber with events, ores, treasures. Maybe not UW mount, but something like that? :D
  13. I think it's between synergy between rewards/new content/repeatability/social/marketing - There are multiple MMO's, that mix few of those things, but there is no one to fix those issues at once. I loved GW because it connects few general aspects at once. Few years later I was LITERALLY no-life with 40kish maxed titles GW1 with, few "God Walkin" and I wanted something different than now. Right know I have plenty of off-line player (casual) duties, but in my case is not because of content/GW at general. There are many different types of players - farmers (new items design, fashion), storylovers (GW, EXP, LS), social-ones (guildies, WvWvW), pathfinders (JP, 100%'ers) and many, many others. Everyone needs to be pleased, so there will always be negative/possitive feedback, depending on current satisfaction-factor :D
  14. I think Tengu will be something big in the future - there is still that Dominion-zone near LA, which is closed since start. If there will be a new race one day, I can bet it will be Tengu's race. They have influence in Tyria, Cantha, so it would be possible to create new starting zone in other continent or near LA. Dwarves ? StonedKodan? Too close to NornLargos? Not so much lore about them, they're quite new, and there was only one time, when we met one of them (in story)Jotun? I will take it as a nice joke :D
