NC Soft Q4 earnings report. GW2 25% decline over Q3
Ryou.2398 replied to Margol.3267's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
This is one of the most obvious reasons, we need to see more action then words on improvements for the game without adding more qol features, we have plenty of that. -
Hardcore Character Option
Ryou.2398 replied to Paradoxoglanis.1904's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Personally id rather they just add a difficulty modes like in older mmos, this in my opinion is more dividing the players and will not help the game, there will always be a meta but they certainly can always be closer to each other. -
PvE Balance, does it really matter?

Will Dragonhunter Longbow Ever Receive More For PvE?
Ryou.2398 replied to CoolCat.1863's topic in Guardian
Agreed this has been far to neglected. -
I have been using the default power build of Assassins and dragon build https://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Herald_-_Power_Glint but for some reason it does not seem as effective as before, I do not recall anything about their healing being nerfed but my heals do not seem as effective as before. Any build advice? Thanks all.

I kind of agree with you here but I think the esports is also partly to blame here, that is allot of pressure. Yes but other things need to be fixed first before they can focus on new trailers. If guild wars 1 was your first mmorpg nothing will bring back that feeling, that is just a feeling of almost everyones first mmorpg, but we can easily get a bit closer to it thats for sure. Yes do not listen to streamers it is a mistake ive been seeing in mmos for the past 5 years or so. Or those experienced in mmorpgs and I do not mean just 2 or 3 lol. I think its more then great, my issue is core open world is to easy while the open story and variety is amazing. other then that should not be their focus in my opinion until they other things are done first. I rather have new expansions every year while making dungeons valuable again, fracts and raids should be added every 5. A new race every year and a half and a new class or elite every expansion. Again just in my opinion. If the underwater can have underwater cities, dungeons, and fractals i dont see why that would be an issue. Maybe in a magic bubble. Yes a few new modes would help pvp in many ways and attract more players. Yes but then we are leaning more towards roles and I personally do not mind but many others might, there are ways to go beyond just the trinity though and that to me is what makes mmorpgs interesting How to turn WvW great again? Some ideas of mine There are many creative possibilities for you to follow, all of which bring more people and more money into the game. And don't go back to the wrong ways again, like releasing old expansions for free and giving the old players who bought the game a t-shirt skin. Give us at least free gems!!!!!!!! I personally would like to see gems for vet rewards, more promitions is always a good thing but I disagree with free expansions. We already get living seasons free if you login, I would rather they release other kinds of things for free though personally.

[Merged] Oh cool you must buy more build slots
Ryou.2398 replied to LaFurion.3167's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
I got no problem supporting anet for things like this but not so much if they do not focus better on balance, I do like anet really. -
When I played core rev with mall and jails a while back and it was pretty good then, plus you have to use a core build to get enough points for your your elite specs to begin with.

[merged] I want to keep using Arc Build Templates... :/
Ryou.2398 replied to Lonecap.4105's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
I respect that you don't care that much about the issue as alot of players don't, but for some of us this is one of the most important features in the game and doing anything to it has a huge quality of life impact, that needs to be adressed. I am sorry if the amount of threads is bothering you, but for alot of us, this is game changing, that's why some of us (such as myself) are really annoyed by this and want to be heard in a hope that our gaming experience won't go from satisfying to painful. You are hurting your cause more with the passive-aggressive tone of your address and adding to the number of existing threads. Devs have said countless times that merged threads are easier to follow than dozens on the same subject which quickly get lost. All you are doing is annoying the devs and the community not interested in this subject. Ultimately I am unsure what you want addressed and your initial post doesn't clarify it beyond being snarky. The delta templates aren't returning. That isn't really up for negotiation since the agreement was always that they'd exist until official ones existed. Anet didn't pull them - the maker of it upheld their end of the agreement and did it. I am more sympathetic to the idea of improving the official ones and making them more flexible, but this is the wrong way o attract the devs attention and there are threads to add the thoughts to already. It may seem like a voice will get lost in the masses, but it actually doesn't work that way. There is nothing passive aggressive here, he is being honest about how this person expressed themselves, and honestly the people complaining really have no business to its a silly thing to attack the op over it is a legit complaint and his choice to make a post if you do not like them then simply do not click them. -
Zealot's Defense damage increase again in PvE?
Ryou.2398 replied to RUNICBLACK.7630's topic in Guardian
It did not say it was a bugfix like the others and why isnt anyone talking about this? -
I was thinking about instruments that launch sound waves more than lasers... I like this idea.Would you add this as a sort of utility, F skills or separate weapons?Obviously there would be too many weapons to be added.I can see it better being F skills.F1 HarpF2 ViolinF3 FluteF4 BellF5 Triangle Just off the top if my head. Hmmm I like the lute and flute personally like lord of the rings online minstrel or the bard classes in everquest 2. But for gw2 to do something different it will likely have to be another kind of tool, as to what I am not really sure to fit into the guild wars 2 universe.
-
Absolutely. We need a bard class in this game. Offensive and deffensive support. With instrument as weapons kits like engi Mesmer have historically been the premiere performers of Tyria. And its the only profession that could literally be a One-man band. Well guild wars 2 already changed allot of things, and can continue to do so in a natural way.

I honestly would love playing a necro if there was a cosmetic choice for pets, the first ones you get are just hideous, and before someone tries to get smart and say well thats the point necros are evil. I mean they do not even look slightly bad ass, they just look really weird, now some people like that but many others do not. I will gladly pay for a cosmetic option I know I can skip pet builds but I rather try other classes first.

Absolutely. We need a bard class in this game. Offensive and deffensive support. With instrument as weapons kits like engi Me to but I rather have something a little more unique like an instrument that shoots magic lasers.

I have to call you out on this, most of the balance posts have been constructive atleast since I been playing gw2 off and on for about 4 years now, the balance patches just have never been that great while some are better then others thats not saying allot. This is far from your typical whiny wow nerf this posts. However this certainly would fix the balance in this game and give anet more resources for other things lol!

What's the best class for soloing open world content?
Ryou.2398 replied to Misquesh.9504's topic in Players Helping Players
Hmmm I think probably my gaurdian, I have not done allot with him yet, then most likely ranger, mesmer, warrior, it seems to me the warrior would be the most efficient. -
For the love of the six, stop with the flashing effects
Ryou.2398 replied to Aerlen.5326's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Why necro an old topic when you can just make a new one about it? They want to discuss it in their own way its the general forums please remember that. Because the points being made have already been made and discussed. Creating a new thread doesn't advance any further discussion. But whatever. No need to seem condescending. And you where not trying to be? They did not discuss it clearly others did thats why people create posts, you do not control the forums and it applies to the rules therefor there is no need to even point something like this out. -

I do not think this was on purpose for that reason, if all mmos you probably should not be going after this one, but there are things you can get for your screens and there are also reshades you can try. But you may have a point. -
You COULD pick any skill from any class... 100% of all skills were selectable on a single character if you took the time to learn them. That was a choice of 1,319 different skills across all classes. You were limited instead by your bar size (only 8 skills selected at a time, only one of them can be elite), and the main and off profession you had at any given time. Your secondary could be changed in any outpost, so you had to plan ahead based on what you were doing, but you could make a setup for anything, with any skills you wanted. (attributes were a different story... each class had a "primary attribute" that was unique to that class... for most classes it was some kind of sustain based attribute for managing energy, but there were exceptions) Champions Online had all that and lets you choose how many ranks your abilities had or if you wanted a different special perk for them. You pick your attributes based on what kind of abilities you wanted to focus on or if you wanted to be tanky or heal. It even had a bunch of items that add on more abilities. Build swapping can also be done in the middle of combat (with a cooldown) that had an outfit/character design change tied to it if you wanted. When I say piece meal I mean every little thing can be picked and customized to your preference. Not trying to do any measuring. Its just that GW1 still suffers from class limitations and lack of maximum customization.Champions online was hardly ever that great there was a ton of useless customization's as well, I would use city of heroes as a better argument.

Why are you always defending the crap out of gw2? Your always here doing the same thing everytime, its very very odd. Every mmo has clear flaws let people express their opinions, they are being far more objective then you, your opinions no longer holds value when your always blindly defending the flaws and I am talking about from class to general posts here.
