  1. Long term goals are for asura, I want instant gratification, NAO!
  2. Only thing you can get lost in is Open World, which has dozens of players in a single area. Guess what? ALL of those characters will get lost in chairs and mounts. Just play the asura. Buy a chair to stand out, use the lower level armor that you do like, and/or sit on a mount to have your character visible on a higher level.
  3. Is Skyscale worth some effort? Yes. That doesn't change that it's obtained through poorly designed means. I engaed in combat.. zero times in the 4 or 5 days it took to get the skyscale. 3 of those 5 days was spent waiting for reset due to time gating. Lore-wise, we already saw a female dragon grow from baby to maturity. Her name is Aurene. This was not a novel idea. Skyscale Flight was about learning how to use skyscale. Guess what? It only takes 5 closed rifts to get the hang of hovering. Not 25. And I'm never going to need to close rifts again. What a colossal annoyance that was. Jesus. Now I feel like griefing players by hovering over the trading post to obscure their vision. That's the kind of negative emotion this built up inside me. The opposite of GW2's design philosophy. Suggestion: Next xpac will mean more catching up to do. More hero points to grind on every character. Trim 'Troublesome Skyscales' and 'Skyscale Flight'. Jesus.
  4. Same thing happened with PoF maps: they weren’t rewarding. Everyone does Drizzlewood or Dragonfall or whatever the new LW will bring.
  5. Game is good, LW1 was a little too late (as we were already spoilered by s2 and onwards).
  6. Yes, that's why we have DISCUSSIONS, so each side can CHIME IN and give their viewpoints... not this sarcastic kitten that you posters are known for.
  7. The customer is always right. After all, everyone here regurgitates the same old mantra -- "it's just a business."
  8. You do realize that people getting more gold from certain metas means prices in general will inflate, right? They nerfed Istan. They want you to do the metas that THEY choose, play the way that THEY want you to play. It's nothing so petty as you're making it out to be. Please look outside your microscopic little bubble, please.
  9. It's not about "liking", it's about not feeling stupid for getting less gold doing the meta I like. BALANCE THE FRIKIN METAS. There's nothing that makes Dragonfall or Drizzlewood harder. Why I gotta grind them, then?
  10. The system is designed so you have to run speedtrains to make the most gold? Duh?
  11. When you apply for McDonald's, they want to know you can "work in a fast-paced environment." Employees are racing through customers, hoping to get as many tips as possible. The GW2 commander, too, employs this strategy, to get tips from his squad. Maps like Drizzlewood and Dragonfall -- the most popular farming maps -- are rushed through so hard it feels like a racing simulator. It's no surprise, then, that at least one of those maps has a race, as if ANet knew who they were targeting with these map metas. If you miss one jump, you're playing the catch-up mini-game rather than engaging in actual combat. Don't have a Skyscale? Gotta switch to the Springer. That's if you can get out of combat from all the trash mobs. So now you have to run away for 8 seconds--too late, squad has moved on to another event. Enough with fast food maps. There are so many beautiful little things to see in this game. Slow down and just admire the view every once in a while.
  12. Literally all MMOs are offering less for more money over time. This is because their main focus of improvement is graphics. I believe the only reason ANet did this though, is because they were forced to rush out the expansion last minute, as they weren’t planning on making one. (Hint: the players demanded one.)
  13. They will pass it on (i.e., your suggestion won't happen).
  14. They paid hundreds of dollars to look like xmas trees so you can LOOK AT THEM DAMMIT.
  15. Why didn’t ANet already come up with this idea? Beats me. So I am requesting it.
  16. Or just make mobs neutral like what was done in WoW (did we not read OP?), meaning they don’t attack you unless you attack them first.
  17. Not true, there are still bots in PvP.
  18. Should’ve watched a YouTube video of how the animations/footprints looked like before you committed.
  19. Why even play the game if you disapprove of egregious monetization, learn to be proper activists. it’s why I refuse to play eso.
