  1. I totally agree. Unfortunately catalyst is in fact, for me, a complete disappointment. Since the weapon and all his design. The movement, the risk for support... How can we support a team if you die inside the battle with so fragile profession and no suvirvability elite spec? However, the icing on the cake was the F5... Really, why? Tempest is a good example of how can you use profession mechanic interaction... Why there is a real person who think F5 should be a good option to invoke a function with your ACTIVE attunement? Really... Why? How many of us said that isnt a good gameplay for eles, ANet? Our opnion is so insignificant for you? After many years staff begin abandoned, you brought us hammer? With 600 range? And F5 to activate a function in the same element we already in? That is conterwise of our gameplay flux... So much disappointing. Even with a lot of good things on the expansion, this contempt with eles is so harsh make me think if it is really worth to buy it (entire EoD).
  2. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Remove Deploy Jade Sphere from a F5 and let it stay like tempest, at the same element. Its soooooo contradictory to attune the entire battle with F1~F4 and have to go F5 to Deploy Jade Sphere! There is no synergy with attunements and elementalist battle!

  4. Trying my best in english here, I hope be undertandable. I know my feel isn't equal for every ele or every player. I don't like multi play with multiple toons; I don't think that's a good feel, a good way to play for me. What I really do, instead, is multi builds. So, when I think about elementalists... I cannot do ANY support role. Supposed Catalyst will deal with that? Just if they remove energy problem and a possible way to move sphere location and keep might, quickness, fury, protection (cause do not have aegis) and heal a lot; thats the only way to be viable instead a Firebrand. Or else, just stay with a Firebrand. Tempests have heals; that's it. If I'm in dps role, we really have some viability. But - again - almost every profession can do better. I know this isn't just an elementalist issue nowadays but I'm talking for myself, so... I'm really sad how the doors are keeping close to elementalists. I don't think is a good reason to say we have a new expansion on the horizon, cause we have two elits and basically they doesn't have a real identity for role (except duels for weaver, which a think is real viable build now). I have keeping my hope on Anet team for 4 years (I play since 2012), after so many nerfs. They doesn't make any significant change to keep elementalists viable for high end pve. REALLY viable; not as an underlay. After Catalyst beta my hope just gone! I know, I know: still a beta profession. And I understand that, everything can change. But what about tempest? What about weaver? What about scepter? What about staff? What you are doing to elementalists and what do you spect for us who play with them? In my case, ONLY as elementalist? So, I'm here to ask two questions to ANet team: First: You really read elementalist topics? If yes, just say yes, please. That's enough. Because, at least to me, your silence act like a "we keep elementalists in the game because we cannot remove them anymore". Second: IF - someone from ANet - really read this, there are any plan to make elementalist (core, tempest and weaver) viable with staff and scepter or will you just throw us in the middle of the battle where we need to stay healing and healing and evading and healing just waiting to die? Again, I know there are some builds. I just play as ele, remember? So I have 11 builds, today, to use in gamemode variation. They are viable in an elementalist view. But if you put another profession on equation everything will be transformed into "I'm useless in comparison with that, not a viable group option". I really would like to see an ANet response for us (elementalists and of course every profession too) to what they have in mind. If I can give an suggestion, I don't think I'm so expert to say that, but I would remove the possibility to a same core or spec to give to many support resources at once (like Firebrands), that should help give presence to 27 variations of professions (I'm including cores here, so 36 with EoD); I would try to review PvE high end survavability too, to have a equalized DPS output for real, not in a golem projection only.

  6. That would be senseless. I play GW2 since 2012, and we NEVER got any valid promotion. Plus, as every country with laws, who is responsible for them is a legislative assembly, like the congress in Brazil AND USA.
  7. I'm sure there is a reason, I just to know why? We see Peru, Argentina, Chile... They are our neighborhood countries, and we cannot join any promotion. Since ever! Please, ANet (or people who REALLY know the reason), let us know why.
  8. I just want not feel that I need to apologize when playing fractals as elementalist. I know everyone else on party is thinking: "Why, why elementalist?" Playing as ele, when you LFG, you just keep thinking... What party probably will accept me? I forgot how many times I was kicked just before enter on a party as ele... 1. Funtional support? Yes. One that make SENSE to be welcome in a party. 2. Damage? We have damage, but lack on survival. We need a little more survavability; or REAL MASSIVE dps to equal things (what I dont agree, but would be fair enough). 3. Meelee weapon? Only weapon that elementalist can really have long range is staff and they are almost useless compared with others! 4. A motivation to live (dramatic, I know, but that neglection with eles really made me sad and somentimes stop playing the game; specially after Catalyst beta - one that I had some hope). I'm really trying to find a motivation. IMO, Anet just need to read players suggestions and complains. If you (ANet) want elementalists as a decorative profession, why just not sell them in Black Lion?
  9. I don't know if someone else had same idea than mine (my english isn't so good to stay tunned on every word). Focusing just on F5 mechanic; I still think they could be "summoned" on active element, and F5 space could be used for a better visual reading on energy. "Speaking" about energy, I think energy could be gathered for ONE source: Attunement. Whenever the elemental change his attunement, he could charge sphere energy (like that trait made for that, but not as trait anymore, just as a natural mechanic and only source of energy). That means if elementalist still attunning elements within a period, he could stay always with sphere... 6 seconds os each element, for example. Another and laste mechanic I would change is that "summon sphere" button (I hope same button as active element) could be use to change sphere location, with 5~10 second cooldown.
  10. I agree with everyone here, and add the fact hammer skills need more reaction possibility. If you use n2 in air, for example, you NEED to cancel it to cast another skill, or else you die while stucked; for a squish, profession, that doenst work. Kuma said everything I felt about Catalyst. After post idea: 1. elementalists changes through attunements everytime, not as an action but as part of rotation. F5 looks as "out of context". I think we could use active element attunement for spheres (like an overload); 2. You use your sphere in a location, you cannot change that location and loose all energy if you remove? Remove it doenst cause anything to anyone, why be punisehd? Catalyst is beautiful, imo. After so many years being abandoned as a damage "unlikable (cause is squish)" in PvE and a duelist or support with low synergy in PvP compared with others, I dont have hope for elementalists. But, I really want ANet can learn how to make catalyst effective. To me, today, is a decorative spec. But, hope never dies and I believe ANet can do something about. P.S.: Eternity's Requiem (Vindicator) have 24 impacts like a Metor Shower. But fast. Stronger. Effective for PvP.
  11. I don't know if anyone else already posted this idea (I didn't find one) but IF we do not use skill 2 & 3 to "follow" fishing bar but mouse movement (to right and left only)? As mentioned before about being "free" to do chat and some other mechanics, I think we could change to 2 & 3 keys or mouse movement.
  12. I agree with you in every word. Speecially about conjures... But eles still need a rework tho. Specially in terms of balance... You know what I really wish? I wish developers and design team really expose each profession pros/cons; not just a simples note in each patch. And answer some posts, defending sometimes their point of view, so we can try understand things that we couldn't see before. Until now, the sense I have about elementalists is that any dev play with them (I know thats probably not true, but looks like that sometimes). Why elementalists have damage but nothing more to help team like almost everyone else? Why elementalists have heals but almost useless because that is the only thing? Why elementalist have control but 50% or more are lost during a battle? Why everyone can cast a skill before an elementalist? Why elementalist have so low stability? Why all professions have long range control while elementalists (light and low HP) don't (except staff, but lets not discuss how bad is staff and how are almost impossible to really have CCs effective there)? I know there is exceptions, but I think my argument still valid. Thats why I think they need a rework... Each profession should be present and make diference... Nowadays I fell the only presence I can do as ele is that rage from other players... I feel people thinking before a match or even in fractals: dont you have a necro?
  13. That's reflects my position. I play as ele for almost 9 years, and I am being forced to give up. Yes, I dont like to play another profession, its my way to play and I can't find a place for any rule (except damage, but with necros now damage ele became obsolete). Being forced to choose another profession not because I like the playstyle is the first step to stop playing this game. I really doesn't like any other profession design. To me, design team did a good work because I found a place. As I can see, everyone found a place in profession and almost everyone found more than one. Imo, thats entirely balance team fault; I understand they are trying, but please, find a room for everyone. (my english isn't good enough, I know. I hope who read could understand)
  14. I had an awful issue... After PvP queue and map choice, map load was too long... I entered in the game almost in the middle of match and, obvious, our team was loosing withou a chance for recovery. That happens, I can understand. My complain here is: the game shouldnt count our match as a valid one, after this kind of problem.
  15. 1. Can we see account name on mails, please? 2. Can we right-click in a player in same guild and invite for pary without being necessary open guild panel, wait, and try again, please? 3. Can we send more than 2 mails to players in the same guild small period, please? (they can leave a guild if he dont like guild posture).
  16. My opinion: Eles have no quick, no alac and low might for himself. Pyromancer's Puissance trait, to me, needs more thinking about (fosuing on PvP here). For the team, same thing (specially on PvE). You don't need elementalist as healer, cause almost anyone can do that an more, much more in some cases (HB?!?). So there is two effective role for eles: plays as damage, or play as PvP Support. PvE just try damage, IF you survive. Ok, I understand that eles are harder to be mastered, and thats ok to me, as long as we have all capabilities another profession have. Anyone can say damage here, we know eles are not the highest DPS from the game anymore (specially when you need to survive), and that is a good thing. Everyone deserves a space. Professions should be a choice of gameplay, not role, in gw2. So we need some other roles to be played... If you enter a party as ele, I can see/hear people "puffing". Tempest could be a good way to think about support for eles (I mean support, not healer, ok? we all know how eles can heal and I agree). Lets do not say abou staff here, seems ANet rates staff in eles... But they need a place to be used, not just wvw (an not soooo effective anymore). Also, for PvP, we need stab. SO MANY, SOOOOO MANY CC's that I can see myself many times being totally inactivated in PvP. Even when you use Twist of Fate, you can be controled... And, during a battle, every skill from eles seems to be a "turtle trying to get rid of his shell" when trying to CC... Meanwhile anyone, literally anyone can CC first. Armor of Earth? 1 min cooldown means nothing, specially when you see all stab being lost by one Guardian and one Necro in 2/3 seconds... To me, CC's deserves a nerf, as general. If not, eles need stab after ANet remove our traits for that in weaver. BUT, Elementalists as corre needs more stab,, not just weavers. Except for the support opinion I gave, I think eles dont need more buffing. To me, as a common player - not pro - the others need nerf. I think eles are reasonable balanced. We don't have fear ring, Hunter's Veridict (that skill is ridiculous - you cannot remove from yourself and 1200 range pull?), or Immobs from ranger (specially druid). Lets not talk about the roots (Entangle needs a remodel imo). Eles also doesnt have so many conditions, you can remove 3 conditions and probably you removed all condition an ele could put on you (we are not necros/scourge). Tornado, with an Lightning Rod with power build could be over, if we arent so weak during his use. One skill from anyone can almost nullify our existence there, so I think still balanced. Weave self is a good skill too, just tailored victory animation is demasiated slow... So hard to get there (you have to control the battle to use all attunements) and so easy to anyone cancel it until you dont have time to cast again (or loose 100% of your HP when a warrior or ranger hits you while you try to cast Tailored Victory).
  17. Am I blind or there is an error on Glyph of Elemental Power tooltip? When I pass cursor over in skills list, it show 25% damage per strike fact... When the skill is on skillbar, that skill fact just disappears... And, of course, I have test on PvE, PvP and WvW. https://imgur.com/a/sp5KvWh
  18. I just play as ele. I love the mechanics and everything. I agree ele can be removed from the game without REAL consequences for group composition in PvE, PvP and WvW. But I think the ideal thing should be that every profession could have the same position. Not elementalists being "more important", but everyone being possible to removed from any composition without a real consequence, easily covered by another one (any or almost any profession, deppending on the role).
  19. 2 ideas to guilds: first: split "admin lower ranks" and a new one for "invite". Split permissions from trove too. second: considering that Mumble is an Open Source project - and ANet already did a integration with positional audio - Guild Wars 2 could have a internal link for Mumble servers, like /wiki. /mumble GuildName, for instance. I'm not sure what bad things could came from that, but mumble web URL links direct on mumble installed at you machine, so...

  21. When you choose a Fractal Difficulty Scale that is daily, text in HUD could be in purple,, for e.g., to show us that scale is right for daily.
  22. I'm not sure if this is a QoL suggestion: a "/dance" with mounts would be really fun.
  23. LFG description should have less time limit to update. Sometimes (like commanding Drizzlewood maps) we need to update but... We cant :(. When in a squad, we can enter a map on another copy. We want to find commander to join "right" copy. To be in subgroup 2 isnt good, cause your party cant see targets. We should see commander in a visual contrast (a really one, like a complete different color than a white border), to help find him/her and join the "right" map copy.
