To be fair there are a lot of clues scattered around readable books, dialogue, and other events throughout New Kaineng City pointing to Purists hiding out in the edges of the old dead sector. Grub Lane is a hotbed of Purist activity and it's right there. It's a perfect spot for the leadership to hide out and a natural progression through the zone. It's just that, when the player arrives, there's a mass of equally distributed undead, active Jade Brotherhood and Aetherblade camps, and no purists?

You should follow those same guidelines and report the post so it can be locked, disappeared, or merged by the actual moderation team. There's functional community policing, and it's not repeatedly bumping a duplicate thread so it goes to the top of the forum.

Simple solution: add the Badge of the Willbender drop to Defeat Janin at the end of the detective escort. It makes just as much sense as the other profession badges from quest chains. Those at least happen frequently. And Jade Maw, which is a whole other pile of trouble but is at least on a timetable.

It's a lot but you can do it! Avoid aoe, don't drop your aoe bomb on anyone else. Stand in green. If you get a number (over your character's head, AND on your buff bar, AND your screen edges light up) get away from the group and hop the attack. If you can't see the number, turn off your shameful auras. It's long but there's no time limit. You only have to win once.

V didn't read, is attacking a strawman and calling it a bad player with a bad guild. OP, yes anet decided to reduce sustain for previous elite profs. Yes they're now more vulnerable. Players are encouraged to train up and try the new elites which are mostly pretty sweet. There's still easy to use, high survivability versions of earlier elite profs, very good builds floating around. If those and or the new elites don't work for you, take a break. It's real early in the expansion. No sub. Come back any time.

I had a great time map running the story once and map completing, then map completing with alts, doing any events I stumbled over. Explore the world, discover hidden corners, start collections, end up with full (non-turtle) masteries and several map completion trophies.

I just checked, and at least the zipline northwest of the temple is available even at low readiness.

Go to Kaineng, have a nice Chef's Special, and wait for all this to blow over.

You can already dismount the zip line mid flight by leaping onto a flying mount. You may need Soaring Rescue.
