  1. Comm tag doesn't give speed buff, 10-12k extra hp, extra 3 dodges, etc. Maybe not but if you're a decent commander it will give you a large number of players to help absorb much more than 10-12k hps, but thanks for dodging the financial aspect of my post :P
  2. If they start giving more freebies go ahead and make a rental command tag for 10 silver, cause that follows the same logic as the rest of this thread. PoF goes on sale for 15 dollars a few weeks each year....it doesn't get much cheaper than that. If that is whats stopping people they need to quit typing on the forums and make their own lemonade stand to make 15 bucks of profit...that should take MUCH less time than convincing Anet to give out freebies!
  3. Yeah you should easily have that much worth of gold in materials in your collectible storage and if that thing is empty then you likely aren't playing very much.

It would be nice although the uses for zhaitaffy are much more limited than any of those others...which is one reason why there were thousands on the TP for the last 6 years that most people never noticed, hehe. They are being very liberal giving out 100 zhaitaffy for most dailies too, so you might expect one to come out next year possibly?

They were there to create fights, early in the game they were quite popular (I can't remember what was in the chest that people once wanted) Chance for a precursor, though I did all 3 borderlands each day in the first 3 months of the game because you got siege blueprints and those were RARE in the early days when people didn't have gold to buy them from a vendor and all people seemed to have were from npc drops in wvw.
  7. What were your thoughts on heart of thorns specializations? Because that's what people said THOSE were, better combat value :P Edit-And new people in wvw have universally always been fodder at the beginning, that has never changed since release day

It's incredibly difficult to balance any encounter that wouldn't then make it unfair to the attackers or be easily manipulated by the defenders, but what about a flat change to lords themselves?Alpine/EBG lords add next to nothing to actual combat except for an occasional large aoe/knockback, desert lords actually contribute to the battle somewhat. The lords themselves are typically the target of all enemies at some point during the battle, and any defender being caught in that is dead in a heartbeat. What if the lords themselves were able to mitigate that damage somewhat? What if the lord could actually reduce allied damage by 50%, with the lord himself actually taking the other 50%, from possibly 20 players within 1200 range of him? Maybe the amount of players the lord can affect would be directly related to the amount of attackers in the vicinity? Lords in general should contribute more in the ways of support at least, that horn blast should do something!
  9. Yay that last thread and this one is making me learn how to quote correctly, whoop whoop! Overall this new thread has some of the better minds of the WvW forum, and surprise surprise we all have different ways to look at it, THIS is why we talk about something and try to come up with an idea that maybe 75% of us would like? Hard, yes? Impossible? I hope not!
  10. Incentive was the keyword of my discussions with the OP from the last thread. You have to give incentive without making the event too imbalanced for either side. One of my biggest things was there should be incentive enough in the game mode map wide to NOT incentivize a 50 man squad to begin with unless you are assaulting the last bastion of a server.
  11. In the first 3 years of the game I'd always use my pet as a body blocker for downing warriors and engis as the hammer and pull would hit them instead, seeing as how hardly ANYBODY stomps anymore because damage has gotten so high sadly most people likely don't know about that :(
