  4. The only hole of your logic is that the optimal way to do the majority of those things is with certain weapons. Guardian as you said benefits more from quick hitting weapons so you don't run hammer for example. Chrono would look to generate clones and phantasms as quickly as possible, so weapons that have high clone and phantasm generation. And mirage is still using their ambilush (class mechanic). I don't particularly agree with the homogonising every single class into the same direction as in the end of the day you will be doing the same thing in different colours. I like that mirage has a unique way of providing alacrity and depending on your stats you can branch off. Full support mirage with 100% boon duration can pop out almost 7 seconds of alacrity with a single ambush (with all the clones up and all) leaving your room to jump into another weapon and do all the funky things you'd do. I am dying to see the patch notes for the exact numbers later today so I can start playing around with support builds to be fair.
  5. Without actually playing it I cant tell but it feels like phantasm shouldnt have a cast time with such a charge up animation. Give it 2 charges and we actually have a pretty cool weapon. The singularity probably needs longer duration - 3 second of it lingering and 5 seconds of portal is a bit meh. Give it 5 and 10 maybe and it will be super cool. If the main mechanic of the rifle is to create a portal at leat make it more usable not every 30 seconds... journey seems alright for burst healing and clone generation I guess, but 2 charges on that would be cool too. but ye overall alright weapon will have to try it
  6. I like the fact you can actually shoot people in the face to heal them. Your clones included. A bit dissapointed that you can't let your clones target an ally and have a flip over shatters with funky effects but I was imagining too much with this anyways. I'm excited to try it tomorrow. I am dissapointed at the lack of attention to actually giving them icons. So far this is the weakest beta. The whole point of the drip feeding is to have time to work on things and the first thing they release has a placeholder effects and icons... but still new toys...
  7. My minor request would be to add the Malicious sorcery attac speed base line for the scepter, now that they are removing the skill. The weapon is seriously slow. If guardian can get their after casts lowered we should get some too

He has one time use movement ability where you throw a lantern in an area, shield them, and your teammates can click on it so you can pull them out of a sticky situation. Sounds familiar? Overwatch has a character called life weaver. You pick a target and you snach them away from harms way. Both of these completely sucked in the beginning before people got used to their mechanics but once people learner they became top pics. Let's at least see gown things turn out before we judge the gameplay. I personally am extremely excited to toy around with it

  14. We are getting life weaver mechanics boyyyyyyyy I am thrilled!!!! Keep in mind that we also don't have any Info about ranges imagine yoinking targets from 1500? Barrier application finally! We also have no info about what the aa chain is there is so much to look forward to man I am buzzing!
  15. Illusionary ambush changes clone target. Also Axes of symmetry re targets axe clones to your current target.
  16. That won't happen. They won't risk weapons giving alacrity or quickness on their own. But I'm excited to see what will be the special mechanic of the rifle. So far the weapons themselves have a interesting mechanic tied to it - Axes lingering and then returning them to you and doubling their effects. I haven't been so excited for an update in a long while!
  17. Mesmer weapons have always been a bit outside of the box. I'm buzzing to see what we will have in place!
  18. I think that's a bit of an exaggeration, it just nerfs it a bit... you either have to choose sustain or condy clear which you already have from a hundred other places, it will still be good. Keep in mind that we still haven't had our hands on it. Try having an open mind at least. It's a good patch for mesmers!
  19. Chaos armor is good on any type of build imho. Conditions it applies can help power builds too - weakness for example can help you survive. Boon wise it is the same thing, you can get swiftness out of it. And the fact that you don't need to spec I to it and it comes baseline is pretty nifty extra bonus!
  20. You knownwhat will be a fun interaction? If renewing oasis works with all the regeneration you apply to people... man I'm so excited about this patch how am I going to wait for a whole month!
  21. Mate the power fantasy of casting cry of frustration and creating ethereal shields for everyone around you makes me tingle with excitement! The fantasy behind it is amazing! Staff Mirage with mantra of recovery and ego restoration that gives you clones on heal will solve all of mirages issues, you can drop the 2 deception skills all together and constantly pump out clones like nothing! You can bring glamour that bring resistance and super speed in larger areas and more thermal fields to combo in! (Even though I still feel temporal enchanter should pulse its boons in the fields...) Cheonos will have all of this and all the quickness goodness that they can provide plus wells to boot! I feel like this is one of the coolest update previews I've seen in a long while and credit should be given when credit is due. I am actually excited for once!
  22. Why are you mad, support mesmer used to be the best build in the past before they stripped all of its supportive traits. There are so many interesting builds that will come out of this. I'm particularly happy about bountiful disillusionment. When they changed it to user only I was devastated.. now that they are bringing back the 5 man buffing we are onto a good start! You get baseline healing on every illusions you summon in inspiration which is massive! I believe meta physical rejuvenation is supposed to be used in tandem with mantras. So you have the healing mantras trait, you have healing mantra that you can puls regen with every 10 seconds and if things get spicy you can break stun for everyone with distortion! Or heal through everything. You can have that really cool looking esper healer with virtuoso - the possibilities are endless with chaos and inspiration. Chaos in particular has been a bit rubbish for a while now, giving it all the supportive abilities is a good change... I feel like you just want to be mad for the purpose of being mad... but I might sing a different song when I see actual numbers
  23. I think they should create another trait like with fun mechanic like this. This way we will have 6 specialisations plus 3 elites to chose from... would be nice
  24. I can't disagree with you more but that's because I'm looking at the game from a prospective of pvp. In competitive modes master if fragmentation is one of the strongest grandmasters in illusions and the other 2 have nothing to compete. F1 gives you chance to do more damage. F2 gives you cripple, making your enemies need to burn cleanses or escape skills, not to mention it is a glorious cover condition. F3 gives you an aoe interrupt allowing you to stop revives even if your illusions target wasn't the reviver. And the glorious f4 giving you reflect on demand. Not only does it improve all your shatters it also improves other traits! Master of Fragmentations + Blurred inscriptions gives you reflect on each signet you use! Not only this, but it matches thematically being the opposite of bountiful disillusionment (shatters doing more harm to enemies and shatters giving you boons) With such a big game I feel it is easy to forget that you are playing agin essence 3 different games. Traits that are good in pve can be rather kitten in competitive and vice versa... that said... Desperate decoy, Chaotic Transferrence, Chaotic Interruption, Temporal Enchanter, Mental Defence, Illusionary Inspiration, Malicious Sorcery, Danger Time, Riddle of Sand, Dune Cloak and Infinite forge do need a little love...
  25. Sometimes it will target things without actually targeting I've noticed. I'd click out of a target but it will still keep it cached somehow it's odd
