    I just realised that well of action gives alacrity now instead of superseded. We are back at square one for providing both alacrity and Quickness through sieze the moment... if it is also 5 seconds of alacrity that is...
  5. For the 3 years of not having the dodge and for the year of teasing "ye we think of getting it back into the game" the solution to just disable dodge when snared is not it... If it was actually on your mind at any point to have ideas this should have been a rework of great quality, not a bandaid fix... this feels insulting imho...

  8. I mean distortion > block but requiem becomes utterly useless unless we 3x the damage. Have it like guardian trap but I am certain it will be just removing the block and not doing anything with the skill. Just lame...

I don't think that will be the case, I believe you won't be able to dodge on hard cc like knock down float stun and snares... but you are pointing out a pretty serious issue with how they are releasing their notes with vagueness and always using the wrong type of wording. When they implemented the temporal enchanter back inti the game it could have been taken as all your glamours constantly stack up resistance in their zones. I thought that sounded like a seriously interesting idea but no turns out it will be just a random proc of 2 sec resistance... I'm getting a massive get bend attitude with how lazy writing is lately and it's pissig me off especially with the way they presented the changes for mirage. Like "hahahahhahah we have nothing else hahahaha we absolutely haven't forgotten the class that has been in the gutter for 3 years hahahahahhaha it's actually a middle ground between actual rework and previous state and it took us 3 years to figure this out. Hahahah we didn't implement it with our revenant experiment for single dodges cuz woosie and we don't have the desire to create an actual excitement for this spec.... also everything is halved yet again... hahahhahaha" Not cool...

    give them the 20 sec cooldowns that they all have now and put effects like alls well that ends well over each tick and maybe make the 3 second wait for an actual effect really worth while... oh give them some actual unifying trait like all wells be retargetable for example...

    They are alright changes but for mirage to wait 3 years to be viable and get the lazy way of returning the dodge is a bit underwhelming... The mirage has been held hostage for years for seemingly no reason as the changes that made it live were suggested in the very begining when they first removed the dodge. Chrono got some questionable changes and primarily PVE ones... Whats up with Flow of Time and Seize the Moment even - copy paste the same efect for 2 traits, no clas has ever had such dumb double effect? Why are those traits the only ones that didnt get any actual numbers on the boons they would provide? Why are wells with lowered cooldown in PVE? Why is Chaos gutted again??? What is the internal cooldown of Auspicious anguish? The only use of Escape artist is to avoid doubling up Seize the Moment and Phantasmal haste, but it is still wild idea, also how long is the distortion? Why is Unstable Bladestorm getting the ground target treatment when and not Phantasmal Warden ;-; ? Is the power coeficient of Bladesong Requiem increased in any way??? Jagged mind still gets overshadowed by Bladeturn Refrain and Infinite forgery is still useless in all gamemodes Not to mention that every other class got the cooldown reduction for all of their skills but master of manipulation conviniently left out blink and illusion of life out of the cooldown buffs... and what the kitten is Temporal Enchanter for???? I just.... there are so many questions that I cant find answers to and it sucks

  13. Ye boys we finally got the dodge but the change still feels kitten as it could have been a change that could have come 3 years ago... right now after 3 years it feels like yet another lazy change...
  14. You are joking but could you imagine how cool it would look if every time you dodged you cast sand through glass instead and the mirage mirrors give you the cloak effect. Bonus points if your clones drop mirrors too when infinite horizon is active.
  15. The new teaser has mirage mirrors in it so there is hope that the dodge will be addressed, but I'm not really holding my breath

  18. scepter used to be pretty good with ambush skills but they immediately gutted it for some reason, kind of sad about it
  19. I just don't understand why when there is no other thread with 600+ replies on it why isn't this targeted already... Lound minority and whatever but it should still be a little bit more of a pressing issue. Rework Mirage completely if you have to but at least make it playable...
  20. Yep. Mirage feels like it has no place in the game at this point. It feels like it needs a complete overhaul as the pve variants are gutted (unless you go for full damage that is), the pvp build has a massive handicap... its just sad...
  21. I agree with you, but mirage alacrity eas designed as a dps alacrity provider from the start as it provides nothing but alacrity and dps. The frustrating part is that it no longer provides any of it well. You can't provide sufficient dps if you are running concentration and you can not provide sufficient alacrity either. I've been running full ritualistic since 2 patches ago and it's just not enough now. And you don't provide any support either as it is. Reverting the change to bountiful disillusionment and restorative mantras might make up for the loss as you'd have the ability to provide enough boons to be just a support imho

  23. The longer player duration would bring us back to square 1. The impossible thing to balance for them apparently is if the player gives too much alacrity the clones are holding axes and are your high damage source. If the clones are giving enough alacrity, you are holding axe and the damage source... its extremely unfortunate as it is a curious idea and instead if leaning into the possibility they are completely killing it off... If they want supports to be supports and just provide long lasting boons make bountiful disillusionment affect 5 players again - alac and Quickness have been separated for a while now there is literally no reason to keep it locked. They had the time to think of a completely new system for guardian who was already the most popular class for them to function but god forbid we figure a way out for the class to have 2 dodges like every other class in the game. I really hope that is the case but I'm no longer holding my breath. Every next patch is a buildup to dissapointment. It's breaking my heart that they are avoiding working on pressing issues like the dodge in competitive or mantras or useless traits like temporal enchanter that serves absolutely no purpose whatsoever, instead let's shave off 5 seconds off of the strongest off hands and juggle some power coefficients on wells.... It technically is hidden behind a trait, the minor called mirage cloak... but the way things are balanced in pve and in pvp is just so kitten lazy and lacking any planning. Fair enough. The staff axe variant with his curious and unique idea is too strong but completely axing it is not the way to go... its lazy, and insulting to give this playstyle 2 years ago and then just take it away... Mirage was the reason I started playing this game in the first place. A mage that can hide between its illusions and controll them in close compat. The barks were fitting and powerful, the theme was original and exciting. The fantasy was powerful. And now... with each and every patch its dissapointing. Its disheartening to see the reason I started playing be very lazily nerfed to the ground. The fantasy of the whole profession is in shambles ... it just... sucks you know... Please I wanna see this too!

  25. Staff staff mirage has a ridiculous amount of clone generation in pve with the 2 phantams, phase retreat and the trait that allows you to summon clones on deception skills. The flow of the build is basically casting your phantasms, generating 3 clones shattering then before the phantasms turn into clones and fill the gaps in generation with jaunt. And with you basically always dodging you are permenantly having your clones avoid damage of any kind. Now, if this was the case for pvp as well it would be fun, however we have a single dodge despite the fact the specs main mechanic is dodging... I don't fully agree with your suggestions but I applaud you for the effor you've put into developing and fleshing your idea. It feels ti me that the mesmer profession has lost a lot of its original concept unfortunately so any help is welcome.
