  1. "Winning WvW holds 0 meaning and 0 rewards for the server." Kinda agree with that. Adding a reward once a week for the winning server,a special kind of reward ( Gear only available for the winning server,special kind of finishers, a 20 - 50g reward etc,adding in craft only sigils/runes,expensive dyes, a black lion chest key,be creative ) not 3 bags that hold 3 gold gears... Would maybe push servers to actually try harder to win aswell. Although speaking for myself i dont play for loot,but im not blobbing or raiding either,im either soloing or doing small scale stuff in wvw but i know many people do play for loot. Atm theres too much usual junk rewards clutting up your inventory. Rather give some proper reward at the end of the week and cut down the useless junk rewards youl get even for being afk at spawn. Boxes in boxes with bags that gives 2 green, Yawn. When it comes to GvG,thats on the people and not so much on Anet. Although current balance issues might be an issue when it comes to guilds not doing GvG as much as before anymore. Since its build wars,not skill wars. Also i used to be an avid pvper in the past. But stopped due to balance issues and doing the same thing over and over..and over on the same maps just got old since the playstyle is usually also the same in every match. I think ive done around 6k matches in the past total,i know many have reached way over 10k already, i dont know how you guys still enjoy it. Adding in higher rewards as they currently have compared to when i was still active wasn't a way of getting me back either. For Pvp we need new gamemodes,i cannot stress this enough. One game mode with a few maps just doesnt cut it to keep this active and engaging,every match is the exact same,you either steamroll or you get steamrolled. Add in game modes like deathmatch,king of the hill,capture the flag to make the fights you can have are different in all these modes compared to doing the same thing everytime and dedicate devs to creating maps for these modes,and watch your playerbase instantly rise.

  3. It's rare atm. Although im not in pvp anymore i did see them in WvW. Me having swiftness up or even superspeed while the guy having no swift or superspeed yet being able to out run me. The smart ones only increase their speed by a small percentage so theyre just a tiny bit faster than you are and it's not that obvious but does make you wonder after the fight.
  4. Because their survival comes from having acces to aegis/blocks and more "insta" heals compared to other specs,theres a reason theyre the most wanted spec in wvw aswell in blobs/raids. Warri's, the in your face "bruiser" spec has a high hp pool because while having acces to a "constant" heal ( Adren Hp ) which is locked behind a burst before theyre able to get those stacks up,while having acces to invulns,theyre on a long cd with a short uptime. As on thief,why do they have a 11k hp pool ? Because their survival comes from mechanics like stealth and having more acces to dodges on certain builds compared to other builds. Why is nec hp pool so large while having acces to life force hp ? Because they don't have acces to blocks,invulns. Having a high hp pool or an equalized hp pool across all specs doesn't make sense because all specs serve a different role and certain specs like guards would get extremely unbalanced if their hp pool would get increased.
  5. I think warri is your best bet,they can always serve a viable role in every pvp match and are able to hold their own long enough even when outnumbered. And eventough the meta builds are evolving around one or two builds,you can do so much more with them. You can serve different roles,you can defend home,be a side noder to far or add in mid teamfights, youre not limited to one way of playing. I never really played holo myself so can't say much about it compared to warri
  6. Imagine the clipping with weapons that are your back staffs/shields/hammers. Or certain armor sets like the bladed coat from HoT. I dont think its easy to make it not clip,and it might be one of the reasons we're not seeing them ingame either.
  7. Pro tip ! Theres a key target to use in the option menu called Previous enemy. E.g you have the right mesmer targeted and he stealths,reveals 3 sec later ,you press Previous target and it instantly selects him again even with 10 clones in your face. Can make all the difference in the world,and like others said it's better to mouse click select instead of using tab targeting besides using Previous enemy.
  8. I am one of those peoples that use one shot builds, but i did not start playing the game as one of those classes, I was forced by the lack of balance in wvw. If you jump to conclusions that a person is crying at least make sure that they do not speak the truth. I have tried and asked many other better players than me for ex to use a necro against a thief/mesmer,warrior,ranger, using the most broken builds and not the best necro player i could find would win at all unless one of the others made a huge mistake. Kindly reply with useful feedback now if you please and maybe point out what could be done to fix the matter and i will continue to discuss it further with you or just ignore me and write another joyful comment and I will ignore it. Thank you Because a Ranger/Thief on DE and Mesmer are all a hardcounter to Nec, Warri can be an issue for Necs aswell due to the amounts of resist but i dont think they are a hard counter. Thats just how it is,Nec has massive issues vs range no matter what spec they're on, and a Warri "can" rotate his resists + shake it off well enough to get you down before you become a problem. And unless youre in a closed off environment,aka guildhall your chances to win vs a ranged spec on your nec are next to none. Nec is incredible in the blob meta but it's not exactly an 1on1 spec.
  9. True,you only notice it when you run on a spec relying heavily on projectiles,aka DE. Thing is most people don't run alone,and it's mostly the combo of Fb - holo/scrap - Ele, they can rotate reflect - block vs projectiles pretty much forever. And then you also have to worry about random obstructs. I understand there needs to be some counter vs range obviously but in teamfights it can be over the top. Hence the blob meta is all about aoe spamm aswell because there's hardly any getting through with projectiles and melee trains aren't a thing because, aoe meta. One problem just creates another.
  10. Try removing and reinstalling your Mobo + Audio + Nvidia drivers. Don't install the Hd audio driver from Nvidia.Remove your Local.dat located in C:\Users\Jeremy\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2 .Do a repair on your Gw2 client as the last step.Make sure to change your ingame graphics options after you start up since the audio + video settings will be reset to default after removing Local.dat.
  11. What instead of boonrips it would add fear ( which is an unblockable effect ) to people near your target in w/e radius for w/e seconds ?
  12. 90% of the time you are not sharing this with more than 1 person. On the opening, yeah it can be strong, but even with the changes it still wouldn't be as strong as some of the other elites. I bet only 1 out of 10 thieves used this skill anymore. It's not because it got weaker, but everyone else and everything else got stronger... a lot stronger. I dont see that any class needs barrier except maybe scourge, but here we are. I don't think we see much melee thieves anymore because of all the crazy aoe spamm and how much damage it does and how random it is. Like on De you can sit pretty safely doing proper dmg from 1.5k range compared to being in there trying to stab while taking random dmg,why even bother with melee thief at this point. I don't think it's thieves that needs buffs though,i think were quite fine. Everything else is just pretty overtuned. Aoe's doing too much for how big the radius is and for how easy it is to land.
  13. Their counter is proper kiting. Not in your face builds because single or double ep + counter + shield block. Deny their bursts mostly because thats where their damage is and their healing comes from. If they pop rampage gtfo and try to land immobs/cripps/blinds/chill and any other condi spamm you have . And if you can,try to reflect or block their boulder throw,if you ignore that one and their mobi skill while able to stay at range you can make their elite useless because he won't be able to clear condi's in ramp mode,and you can actually force him out of it. Not every spec can counter it either. But anything with proper range damage can. Holo's/De's ( dd or core can aswell ) /Mesm ( condi or power can do it )/ Another Warri obv, Rev also can. There's counter enough but you just have to deny their most critical hits to make them useless,whirl burst/ gs burst/ etc. Also don't proc counter and count and bait out their dodges. Can make one first hard spike whereafter you play defensively and bait out his dodges/blocks/invulns before you start to spike again. Also note you can cc him out of shieldblock if he has no stabi up while doing so,on certain specs.

Thing is this isnt an 1on1 game,from an 1on1 perspective i could say it could use a buff but i already think the share is quite strong if your teammates have a brain and not all attack at once after the first apply. Thief can also steal boons well enough on its own,adding 1 extra boon remove per ally seems a bit strong. I also don't really see a reason to give thief barrier. We need less carrying mechanics,not more. We also need less boonspamm across all classes and less boon uptime with longer cd's on them,not more boon removal. It will be great against full boonspammers but destroys a spec with less boonuptime.
  15. Destroy the blob meta in any way. The game could be much more fun if you had several smaller groups running around as most guild raids do, 10 - 20 instead of 50 here 60 there which would also increase the chance to find more fair fights since there will be people spread out allover the map. You could have 4 groups of 10 - 15 on one map going around able to support each other aswell not counting scouts,roamers . Destroying the zoneblob meta with 20 fb's and 30 necs in the squad would only be healthy for the game. It could also serve for being able to play using more tactics, but who likes that anyway right.

  17. Maybe a desync ? Like,on your screen you think it connects,but on his it was a sure dodge. Instant reflexes only pops when he's 50% hp.
  18. Bulls charge is easy to avoid from an opponents perspective,it's Very obvious unless youre right in his face.
  19. I'm not noticing the fps drops you currently have,my game seems to run as it always ran. Although i'm not running around in pve tbh,i havent done the new maps either so i have no idea about the performance on those maps. I'm mostly in wvw only. Maybe try switching some graphics down till you notice whats dropping your fps ? Or reset it by removing local.dat from your roaming folder. Tbh it's every map not just the crowded new map..... Yep been playing with all settings... nothing makes a difference and weird cos GPU is only getting high for about 30% loading and cpu load around 40% so it's not throttling causing it my end. I mean I normally run around with 90+ FPS most places and only a heavy reset night 3-way in SM causes any significant issues, but even then I see a reasonable 40ish FPS and WvW is well documented for that issue.Oh well... maybe the Win 10 patch and the latest Nvidia driver need time to be bedded in and some optimisation with GW2 done.I wish Anet ever added notes if they make changes to their engine,server side or the gw2 engine itself. Like i remember reading some post on reddit where a dev commented that they actually switched to better servers but due to some configuration we actually had more skill lag or something. Why do i have to read this on a comment on reddit ? Why dont they post this stuff in balance patches. Cus when you have issues out of nowhere theres a whole list to go through to figure out the issue,which is just damn annoying,when its usually cus of a w10 update or a change to the gw2 servers or their engine. But anyway,besides some skill lag tonight on alpine bl i havent noticed anything weird to my fps yet. I'm also using 436.02 drivers and they seem fine since i started using them a while back,might be you have other drivers which might be your cause.

  21. They released a new patch yesterday and it states the issue is fixed,i don't use surround myself so i can't check if it works. " Not seen that update land yet... I will go take a look a see if it is indeed fixed my particular issueIve installed it already,it was set as an optional download for me instead of an auto download.

  23. Already tested. Tried using a seperate network card with cable which uses pcie ? Instead of using your onboard network.Also if you have multiple pc's in your household try playing for a while with all other pc's shut down,maybe it's some lan configuration issue ? Also worth a shot,try playing the game with the lowest settings possible just as a test. And if you use the 64bit Gw2 client,try uninstalling the game and run the 32 bit version.
  24. Instead of using Wi-fi. Connect your internet with a cable and see how it goes. I remember playing with a buddy that had massive lag spikes and disconnects,after a while of trying to help him with all sorts of different things i told him to try cable and it fixed all the issues he had. It's worth a shot eventhough the rest of your household doesnt have issues,your pc can.
