  1. In PvE, with the new Choking Gas, you can AoE kill a large group of trash mobs -- so, No. I think it's too soon to write it off.
  2. Your main target gets 100% of your damage -- all others get 95% of your damage. It's not bad if they all lined up, but it's useless if you're targeting above or below your current elevation. Ricochet was better since it doesn't matter what your elevation relative to your target and other additional targets.
  3. I mean, correct me if Im wrong, but isnt the Malicious Backstab nerf just them extending the backstab nerf to it as well, i.e. fixing an oversight? Then that's odd since they didn't do the same to Malicious Sneak Attack. Another "oversight"? Yeah Id say so. My guess is that since theyre technically seperate skills, but also not, they just got through the first time. And while MBS is used enough for people to raise alarm, Sneak Attack, not so much, so it just got forgotten. It seems that they intend to nerf the Malicious attacks by nerfing the core stealth attacks, but since they are completely different skills, they have to nerf the Malicious attacks separately. If that is the case, they can just unnerf the core stealth attacks. Otherwise that's a lot of DPS loss.

  5. We're not really talking about after patch and the changes on the upcoming patch justifies what I'm talking about -- and I'm not the only one who share this opinion. Yes, I play Warrior and there's really nothing you can do even if you can see the telegraphed burst skill if you're knock on your kitten. Using Evis and KS as your example tells me you're the one who lacks knowledge and experience in playing a Warrior. Have you ever been in the receiving end of 100% crit Arc Divider? No? Ok, then. If warriors could do acceptable damage with no crit chance modifiers and fury access, there's no reason for warriors not to play solders with vision sigils and daredevil runes and be even more stupidly hard to kill on top of having that damage. Be careful what you wish for. Compare to what he have to deal with, that can easily be fixed by banning the DD Runes or limiter DD runes for actual DD profession. Without the high crit chance, Warrior will have to actually think about they will do instead of just facerolling on the keyboard randomly pressing keys.

  7. Yeah, I'm bummed about the Concealing Restoration and MBS nerf. Sheesh.

  9. Joko was never that important. Even in Guild Wars 1, he was just some guy who we released to learn how to ride wurms, so we could chase the real badguy. Joko's whole backstory was that he was kind of an idiot, who didn't really know how war worked, and thus got beaten and imprisoned by Turai Ossa. He also needed us to get his staff back for him because he couldn't do it himself. Joko only got as far as he did in between games because Anet gave the whole of Elona the biggest idiot ball ever and just had them ignore Joko... because reasons, and then had most of the Sunspears turn inexplicably evil... because reasons. Joko was never that important, nor he was never that smart, or powerful, he was just kind of lucky. By the time we get to him in Guild Wars 2, he had spent years fighting a multi front war with the Risen and Branded. Then Balthazar shows up, traps him in the Domain of the Lost(again, Joko isn't that smart), and bring in his forged causing more problems for Joko's armies who are now leaderless, confused, and now facing another front of enemies to deal with, causing them to get slaughtered. Then we kill Archon Iberu, use his guise to steal Joko's armies, and then just throw them in a mad suicide charge against Baltahzar's forged in the final battle of PoF, which decimated his forces ever more. And, while all of this was happening, we also further destabilized his hold by attacking various major forts, liberating major towns, and helping the remaining Sunspears find a base, and sew dissent among the populace in Vabbi. By the time we reached Elona, Joko's empire was already crumbling because he was never that good of a leader, not back in GW1, and not in GW2. He was just an egotistical idiot who got lucky. Joko's modus operandi is using scare tactics, that's how he control the masses. He's a cult leader that uses his necromancy power to fulfill "miracles" to encourage the faithfuls that in death, they will be with him forever. However against unbelievers, he can't really do anything that's why Amnoon was able to maintain their independence. My point is, Joko is good at manipulating people using false hope and fear to control them. He's actually smart in those terms, idiots won't be able to control people, let alone make them believe in false hope. Balthazar fooled him because he believe that he is also a god coequal with the other gods, he was delusional or probably fan-girling on Balthazar.
  10. Well many ppl are predicting builds that they think might finally be decent that they haven’t played in awhile, so why not. And as far as meta ppl also have their best guesses so why not just say that. I personally wouldn’t mind trying DE again as I stopped playing it when they got rid of unblockable DJ, also I’m not sure what the meta will be so ima just try something for fun For instance, I like to play DE S/D, it's not on the list, but I don't know if I will still like playing it after the patch. Other column is there. I think s/d might be fine on DE thing is after rifle rework traits are a little better for rifle as u give up the second stun you had, which is kind of why I specifically said rifle + x becuz rifle has been pretty much better for s/d IMO becuz u lose all mobility of steal and don’t have as strong traits for Shortbow only builds.I don't main Rifle though, so I guess I'll take other. I might go back to D/P though. :/
  11. We definitely need more procs on crits in the CS line. We got like what? 3 traits that procs on crits -- it's horrible.

  13. This is premature. Until I have a chance to take each build for a spin, I can't say which I would like.
  14. Sometimes, you have to break things in order to correctly build them back up.
  15. The professions are not supposed to be equal. Each profession specialize in certain art of combat. The only imbalance you'll find is in PvP and WvW where some professions are overtuned, just like as you said, for example the Warrior has too much crits. High crits should belong to medium armor wearer, not to heavy armor wearer. Thief in PvE is manageable since you're fighting against AI that can be easily manipulated with skills that are highly telegraphed.
  16. Ranger pet selection should show the pet's name instead of the generic "Juvenile XXXXX". Example: "Simba" instead of "Juvenile Sand Lion"
  17. Most of the problem is this. I cap the node, Warrior comes and get lucky on a crit then take the node. I come back to retake the node against the same Warrior, it takes 3+ crits to take them out. It's not really about 1v1, it's about how fast can a Warrior down a Thief just because they get lucky on a crit vs. how fast can Thief down a a Warrior with multiple crits. As I've said, Warriors are overtuned in this game. They have high defense and high damage, it's BS. So are u saying that a warrior shouldn't be able to take significantly more hits than a thief nor hit nearly as hard? I mean this as a thief player but that's plain wrong. Warrior doesn't have the tele, stealth and evades the thief had and has far more predictable and telegraphed skills. A warrior most defenitly be sturdy enough to trade more blows with s thief and with equal sustained damage to boot. I could see warriors burst having to be lower than thiefs if it didn't require hitting with either telegraphed skills after gaining adrenaline or if the bursts didn't require landing a hard cc first like bullscharge considering thief burst are far quicker and often outa stealth I see kno reason why they can't be on par considering all the other tools thieves have ie tele's/stealth etc. On full power CS/TR/SA my backstabs delete 75% of most warriors I fights hp in a single burst before I stealth up and try again lol what else do u want lol I'm always defending thief but this is silly. I actually really like fighting warriors. They can hurt you but generally not rely on tricks to win. Making mistakes against a good warrior results in death. With warrior might sustain being nerfed heavily I’m excited for the chance to go toe to toe more often. The upcoming changes to the Warrior is appropriate IMO since they have been overtuned for a long time, but still not enough. Arms trait is hardly gotten hit -- unsuspecting foe and burst prec are untouched. Really, arms is almost never used for a reason lol man u got a blind hate on for warriors eh? It comes out pretty obvious. I never attempt to hide it. Mesmer beat me all the time, but it's well deserved and you won't see me complaining about them. Warrior, on the other hand, is a cheese profession overtuned because one of the Devs is a Warrior main. Lmao warrior cheese is enough for me to not take anything u say serious but to add that their more cheese than mesmer that's just to much haha. Ur either joking or seriously delusional lol.All I'm saying is, give Warrior Might and high power coef, but take away all Fury and high crit chance from them (i.e. Burst Precision). Giving high crit to a heavy armor profession is stupid.

  19. Doesn’t matter. The strike mission requirements should be removed from the completion equation. Based on what? That you don't like them? I didn't particularly enjoy grinding events so those should be removed too. As I've said numerous times, it's not the strike missions that's the problem, it's the change. Do you remember how the personal story had to be changed from a dungeon to a solo instance because people complained? The same thing happened to me in Rift. THe main story line ended in a raid. I didn't want to raid and it was one of the main things that drove me from that game. I suppose I should be thankful on that count. But if you want to raise the bar, in my opinion, this isn't the way to do it. It's long been a problem with the nature of open world PvE being so casual in this game. You change the game you lose the playerbase. It's just logic. This doesn't follow your complaint. The Achievements doesn't hinder you from experiencing the Main Story Line. I don't know of any Achievement acting like a gate that prevents players from enjoying the Main Story Line. Achievement is something YOU choose to work on, it was never a requirement for the Main Story Line. That's a misrepresentation of the facts. ArenaNet is not doing that. THe facts are I don't want to be "encouraged" to raid, because I have no interest in raiding. Now Anet is changing my game for raids. Raids have already impinged my game when Anet has made balance changes around them, but I deal with that. This is my personal end game. You don't have to understand it, but this is basically what I play for. And if I'm going to be playing content I don't enjoy to get something, I'm going to stop playing because I play to have fun. There should be enough achievement so I can CHOOSE what I do, instead of being coraled into something. This is not the game I purchased. It has never been the same game we all purchased since Season 1. The only thing you can really expect is that things will change and some changes will not be something we like. Many players I know already left the game due to changes they didn't like. I'm not saying that we should also leave, rather there are other things that we can do in the game instead of focusing on things that we are no longer able to do or achieve. Yep it's never been the same game we purchased since season 1. YOu're right. That means when changes happen, if no one says anything and hte future comes and they're unhappy, it's their own fault for not speaking up.. I don't like this direction and if the game continues in this direction....strikes getting harder, strikes being requires for metas, well, I'm not going to get forced into preparing for raids I have no interest in playing. Sure the game is always changing. And since I've liked most of the changes, the vast majority, I've stayed. But I spend less money in the cash shop now than I ever did, because the game is not 100% my game as it once was. Every time a change is made that doesn't align with what I think a game should be, it takes me a bit further from where I started, the more chance there is I'm going to stop playing. The question is how many people are standing in the same place I am. How will this change benefit the game, compared to how many people are angry, or annoyed or just feeling meh about it. 1% of the population is affected, I don't have a leg to stand on...but I don't think that's the case. Anet will read the comments, look at how and what people are playing and they'll make a decision based on metrics. What I'm doing is expression my displeasure with the direction of something before it gets out of hand. Now you're giving them too much credit. Seeing that a very small portion of the population wants raid, I doubt they follow any kind of metrics. What they are doing is what they want or what they think the players want. There's no such metrics. Take the upcoming Patch for example, they are posting it to show us what they want to do. And despite the feedback, they will launch that patch with little to no change. As for spending; players will spend money to buy gems because they want something from the shop with no regards to whether the game is enjoyable to play or not. So their revenue is not an indication of whether the game is enjoyable to play or not. They way I see it; play the content, or play other content, or don't play at all. IMO, just play other content -- Tyria is huge.

Warriors should not have access to a lot of crits, rather they should have access to a lot of raw damage and crit damage. They are the profession of strength, not of precision. Meaning, higher power coeficient, but should only have the base crit chance. Their high crit chance, comparable to Thief, is the problem. Warriors should not have access to Fury, for example, just as Thief has no access to a lot of defensive buffs. For example, Unsuspecting Foe and Burst Precision from Arms trait are toxic. I fail to see how a warrior(games main melee master) would have low precision. Not saying they should be on par with a glassy burst spec like thief but when anyone thinks warrior in any game they think sturdy(not super tanky tho) and hard hitting as far as melee with good mobility. I mean it's a warrior for kitten sakes lolYes, hard hitting with high power coef, not high crit. Logically, you cannot have high precision wearing heavy armor swinging a heavy 2H sword or a hammer. It's about raw strength and not about finding kinks and gaps in the armor.
