  1. Anet makes the bots to create the illusion people still play that piece of skritt , that is why they don't ban them =P
  2. Just look at all the changes for ele , it's like we buffed this part of skill and added 2sec CD , we increased blah , and lowered this. Then look at something like engi where its all just flat out buffs. this is always ele patch notes .
  3. seriously buff the kitten staff and revert ALL the nerfs to meteor shower. Huge coincidence when they nerfed meteor shower WvW became blob vs blob. Yes there were tons of ele's dropping bombs , but guess what there were also tons of classes like thief who's job it was to go in and gank them off the field and it isn't hard to do ! but at least let them keep some blobs in check while they are still standing !

  5. I used to hate warriors back when their heal signet was broken af , they were beasts back then. now I feel sorry for them , and I main ele haha.
  6. well you can't just turn on auto fire and cycle through the overloads while AFK , so it must be nerfed into the ground =P
  7. I think the old old class design for ele was to have resource management , and swapping attunements was more of a big deal. It locked you out of the last one longer , and so you chose to say "play the healer" and swap to water , and you could use all those skills but they cost mana or w/e , or you could play DPS and swap to fire but that probably stepped on the toes of something like thief , or why would anyone play anything else if an ele is all roles even if they can only be one at a time , so it was scrapped but a lot of the class was already designed and so it still has a lot of that mentality behind a lot of its skills , you can see it in old pre-beta videos where Staff ele's are throwing Phoenix , and dumping something that looks like churrning earth at range with staff. It's almost like FB with it's tomes was them revisting that old alpha ele .
  8. Yeah staff would be fine it is just a 2012 weapon that has been nerfed heavily on top of it being very outdated. I think tempest water overload is probably the only water skill that is worth the DPS drop by being in water , because it is essentially a second heal slot , nothing else in water on any weapon is worth that.
  9. Ele's are balanced around being a jack of all trades , but they are not in reality. Their weapons and attunements are most of the time celestial by default but Ele's still have to spec like everyone else leaving a lot of their skills pointless. If someone like Necro was spec'd for power damage they simply wouldn't take something like scepter for their mainhand , Ele's are forced to take the unoptimal weapons because they are baked into half of the skills on their weapons. They could maybe raise the baseline on all of the skills and lower the coefficients that are gained from stats , that would make the jack of all trades master of none theme fit much better. Your stat choices would just make you a little better at what you focus on.

  11. they say 1 shot because it is easier to say than , they just 100 - 0 me instantly . And if you really wanna see legit 1 shots , run around on a zerk staff ele anywhere but open world
  12. Ele does not have a wide range of boons anymore that may have been true in Vanilla when Cele ele D/D was a thing , but that so is not the case anymore. ALL the classes vomit out a ton of defensive boons now. There is zero reason for the HP gap now. Ele has more skills blah blah blah , they have the same number of impactful skills as any other class on any weapon set and the CDs are longer than the other classes. How often does another class simply run out of CDs and are forced to sit there and auto attack for 10 sec while they wait for any skills to come off CD. They function just as well ( better ) with their limited bloated skillset.

Before staff was nerfed into the ground it was an ok trade off to have really strong ranged damage and if you let someone get all up in your face that was your fault , but now there has been so many teleports and gap closers and super speed added to stuff it is just not possible even if it did get all of it's damage nerfs reverted. I think Condi staff Tempest with Wizard runes when staff #3 and signet of fire and arcane surge + glyph and arcane power still had the higher burn stacks was one of my favorite build in PvP. It let you do respectable ranged damage , but you could pop all those instand CD's and Overload fire if anyone got up in your face and get a ton of burn on them . Enough that they would back the hell off or die. And no one ever expects to get condi bombed by a staff ele haha.
  14. I do miss when the overloads ( or most of Ele's skills ) , had some level of threat to them. Ele does not +1 in a fight anymore they + .5 =P

  16. FGS + lightningflash didn't 1 shot people either =P But seriously , why do any classes start out with more hps than the others nowdays ? If they wanna balance them all to be the same DPS , the Same support etc why do some of them just log in at level 1 with with double the hps of others ? It's like trying to balance a game on a table that's missing a leg.
  17. I mean if you wanna keep the whole fantasy thing going , give classes traits they have to spec into to get those higher hps. they shouldn't just log into the game at level 1 with double the hps of other classes anymore.
  18. If the goal is to have every class DPS be the same and support functionality be the same , why the hell do we have to have such crap HPs still ? I mean if all classes DPS and Support functions are more or less equal regardless of how complex they are to pull off those numbers , other classes would still be preferable to an Ele because they will be less likely to die. I think all the classes should be reworked to have baseline equal hps. It's like how do you even design for equality when some classes have double or more the hps of another. Like when something like a super tanky necro how has 30k+ hps and you wanna design a skill that actually puts a serious dent into that class , it will flat out 1 shot an ele lol. All the healing in the world doesn't save you when your in downstate. I think if the direction of the game is to just homogenize the classes into being equal , the only way that will happen is if they start out equal.
  19. We've decided to gut traits that were only really appealing to PvP players to better dumb down our game for the players who like to stand on top of each other whacking a stationary target. P.s. new cosmetic kitten in the cash shop ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  20. Recently opened a birthday message and clicked on the package but there was no dye included , got the usual other things. I opened it in the PvP lobby if that has anything to do with it , but even after exiting the lobby so I could use the karma item there was still no dye.
  21. they probably take their tag off in PvP , people would just 5 v 1 them lol. what would be cool is if 5 of them all que up together that way the lone dev doesn't just get ganked over and over.
