  1. PVPers are always the noisiest and make things worse for PVEers.
  2. Just a brief circle every pulse would be nice, yes.
  3. Just kinda off the top of my head... GeneralMake each weapon clear in its purpose. Make them obviously either a Power or a Condi weapon.Make it so that the "Unblockable" effect also cuts through Retaliation.Traps should trigger if you place one on the enemy, not just if they happen to wander into the area after you've set it. Elementalist - Conjured weapons, Staff: Conjured weapons are just horrible. They all need looking at. Staff Needs a bit of a boost in damage (not huge, but something would be nice... the nerf was too hard).Warrior - Rifle, Longbow, Hammer, OH Swords. Berserk: Fortunately most Warrior skills seem to at least be situationally useful. The weapons are another matter. These four especially need looking at. Get rid of the Toughness debuff from Berserk.Ranger - MH Dagger: Why is Dagger 1 a 4-attack chain? Roll the damage from Dagger 1.2 into either Dagger 1.1 or 1.4. Also I know you didn't ask about traits, but can Light on Your Feet also trigger when you evade, not just dodge?Necromancer - Spectral skills, Staff, Core shroud: Spectral skills can be useful, but there's usually 5 other things I'd rather slot. And these days Core shroud is just bad.Guardian - Spirit Weapons, Hammer, Longbow: Most of the Spirit Weapons could use a looking over. Hammer is just too slow. Longbow is bad and needs a complete rework.Thief - Shortbow, Venoms, Swipe: Shortbow needs to either be a power or a condi weapon. It's in a bad middle-ground. Venoms are just bad; at the very least I'd cut all of their CDs in half (except for Basilisk). And the recent change to Swipe was horribad.Engineer - Turrets, Rifle: The biggest change to turrets I'd make is have them target your target automatically. RIfle is good, just needs a bit of an update (maybe get rid of Overcharged Shot).Mesmer - Wells, Swords: Wells should just get 1-2 seconds added to their duration across the board. Swords are just horribad and feel so awkward to use.Revenant- Hooboy. This one is way too long to get into. A lot of people will probably disagree but that's kinda how I feel about the classes. And I've probably missed a lot.
  4. My old main was an engineer, which I frequently swapped between Holo and Scrap heals. But I'm looking for something new. Engineer is fun, just not a class I wanna play all the time. I'm currently looking at Guardian, Elementalist, Necro, Ranger and Warrior. Warrior is kinda meh though, cause it doesn't have a heal spec.
  5. One thing to note if nobody else has said it: upping your toughness also increases your aggro with enemies. Meaning the higher the toughness, the more damage you will be taking.
  6. It really is fun. You'll probably die a lot before you learn the build like I did, but once you do learn it... And make sure you switch up your skills and traits when you need to. And carry a pair of daggers. Revenge Counter instead of Magebane Tether and Mending instead of Healing Signet is useful for condi-heavy fights. Or Sun and Moon Style + daggers instead of Slow Counter + axes if you're going to need the extra healing. If you need full-on tankiness, Guard Counter, Defy Pain and Last Stand are your friends.
  7. Everyone gets Greatswords. Everyone. And the classes that had Greatsword already? Double Greatswords.
  8. Seems like I've just been logging in for no reason, anymore. I don't have any friends in the game (the couple guilds I tried joining were all super cliquey). The meta events are burning me out. People are getting nastier in-game. Engineer is getting boring. I don't want to stop playing because I fundamentally love the game. But there's a growing list of reasons in the "stop" column.
  9. Please, please, PLEASE tone down the stuns, knockdowns, knockbacks, pulls and whatever else. It's not fun. I'm not saying get rid of all of them, but when you get chain CC-ed by NPCs and 3 stun breaks on your bar isn't enough, that's a design flaw.
  10. Yes it does. The only things that don't get affected are minions.
  11. Stick to it and experiment. Metabattle is a great reference. But it should be used as just that: a reference. It's also strongly biased towards DPS output. Use the builds, but if you need to adjust them to improve your survivability, do it. A dead player does 0 DPS.
  12. Please let us right-click items on vendors to check to see if they're needed for an item collection.
  13. @Turkeyspit.3965 I use pretty much the exact same build for OW. I prefer Blast Zone to Glass Cannon, however (more damage all the time, instead of just at 75%+ health) and Adaptive Armor over Applied Force (the Quickness uptime from Applied force just isn't high enough for my tastes). I also switch out Mortar for Supply Crate if I know I'm going to need the condi cleans from Med Pack Drop. Edit: Oh, and you may see better damage with an Air or Fire sigil instead of Accuracy. With High Caliber and No Scope we're already sitting at near 75% crit chance.
  14. When I'm just starting out a new 80 support character, I like to pick up a set of https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Spearmarshal%27s_armor immediately. It's pretty inexpensive on the TP (less than 2g per piece) and comes with the Marshal prefix (Power, Condi, Precision, Healing Power). And depending on the build I get different jewelry. Giver's (the snowflake stuff) if I need the +Concentration or Cleric's if I don't.
  15. Could we get a cancel effect for Lightning Orb? Just an AOE blind or Weakness or something. Or even nothing at all, just the ability to blow up the orb so it stops attacking everything? It's already a great skill and doesn't need anything else. Just the ability to end it.
  16. Guardian's Shield 5 pushback is minimal. It's another Light Field and the secondary on it is a really good AOE heal however.
  17. First, there aren't really any tanks in GW2. You can build that way, but you won't really be playing a "tank". Plenty of classes can use a shield effectively, though. There's Chronomancer, of course (though you say you don't want to play one of those). There's also Revenant and Guardian healers. Engineers have a fun open-world build that relies on boons to buff survivability, and they use a pistol and a shield. You'll also often see Warriors using a shield in PVP or for PVE utility as a secondary weapon.
  18. Under the story tab of your hero screen, you should see all the different chapters laid out on the left. You can then click the chapters and hit the "Begin This Story" button.
  19. You haven't done them all, then. You get enough HPs simply by leveling to get your core spec filled out, and each set of expansion zones has more than enough HPs to fill out each elite spec (they give 10 points per). https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Hero_point
  20. Guardians are welcome in pretty much any role they can play. They're one of the most well-rounded classes in the game atm.
  21. Have been in Metrica Province and all the hylek have their health bars underneath, instead of above like with all other NPCs. Information is still accurate however.
