  1. You will need to run the Decimate Defenses trait as that will allow you to cover the massive crit deficit you have. Also note that this deficit will still be there if you want to go open world because you don't have your team providing full vulnerability there. The gear optimizer says that with full dragon's, force/impact sigils, scholar rune and meta dps powerfood you will only end up about 5% below the berserker variant so that certainly seems viable to me. I'm sometimes organizing raid trainings on EU at RTI and I'd certainly let you join with that.
  2. And then you get an item/skin you already have and it would have been more advantageous to do Triumphant/Legacy/GoB or any other reward track really if you were to do the PvE achievement anyway. Nothing wrong here.
  3. Ranked sPvP can only be done in duos but there are automated tournaments where you can go in as a full premade team. Not sure how it works for unranked.
  4. Look, if you want to vent, go outside, shout into a forest or whatever. You've been presented various good options such as joining the Raid Academy discord (NA, doesn't require killproof) and waiting for the next expansion which offers open world legendary armor. You're conveniently ignoring these and just keep on bashing on the same "point" even though you've been shown ways out of your perceived "misery".
  5. I get the current shade situation is not fun but projecting issues like that onto scourge shades is just absurd and pistol is not really higher maintenance than scepter. This is a keybind / posture / hardware setup / disability issue, not a scourge issue. If you want to be heard, then you'd do best to just stay grounded and criticize what's actually there to criticize.
  6. When the SoI passive random boon selection chooses quickness when I'm farming hidden garden and the Veteran Mossheart is too close to use time warp or shatter.
  7. LS1 is not paid and available for everyone from all I know. Ironically I haven't played LS1 one yet so I can't argue on the difficulty but every 2 hours there is a public instance, check here for the times. I also heard you don't actually have to finish the entire thing to advance story but that's for you to find out. If you go in at prime time, you might have some more luck with finding a more populated instance.
  8. If you bought it for yourself, you should know that you're basically buying an activation code that you have to tie to your account separately. So you should be able to just buy the xpac again and give the code to your cousin if I'm not mistaken.
  9. The thing is, after HoT she is never mentioned again. The issue you have with not being able to really relate to her is the same other people will feel about destiny's edge members other than their racial "mentor". They just don't get a lot of screentime if you don't play their race but on the other hand, if you play their race, you'll be interacting with them quite a lot. People mostly got disappointed that while all other racial mentors stay relevant (Caithe, Logan, Rytlock, Eir not really tbh but at least she's featured in HoT in significant capacity at all) while Zojja just got completely sidelined for no perceivable reason.
  10. Except even the PvE golem benchmarkers don't like it from all I know as the change is a noticeable dps loss.
  11. Largely depends on what you're fighting. When not up against defiant foes, the damage is rather negligible due to how low the uptime is and the stun extension mostly only applies for the handful of lightning based dazes and stuns which is not a lot. So I would say against non-defiant foes, Raging Storm is always going to have the edge.
  12. I assume that is when using the addon manager? In that case I would recommend creating an issue on their github page (you might have to create an account) as I have no insight into how they manage their references. Add the log and which addons you installed so they have a chance to help you. My general recommendation for broken addons would be to disable/remove them one by one to see which one is responsible and disable arcdps last as most addons hook into that one. It's always better to try and identify the problem rather than taking the hammer and reinstalling the (not to mention that the uninstall probably caused any previous logs to be deleted that could have helped with troubleshooting).
  13. GitHub didn't stop working, it's a website. Maybe start out with telling us what addons you're even trying to install...there isn't any salvagable information at all like where you installed stuff to spot any errors / mistakes, nor did you reference any logfiles that are usually found somewhere in the addons folder.
  14. Just mechanically this is never going to work as fast with range indicator specifically requires you to release the key in order to fire groundtarget AoEs. That's like the entire point of the setting. So there's absolutely zero surprise that's not working. At the very least you need to set it to instant so it registers on key down alone. Do that and then complain again.
  15. I updated the page for the bloodstone brick oven, does this look correct?
  16. Yep, unless you team up with others. Which I would actually strongly recommend for completing your missing ones. A Crack in the Ice is the one exception that doesn't give you a choice and man, these achievements in the ice cave story instance can be a real pain. The usual idea is to go in twice: Once you basically just stay in a safe spot while your group kills the ice beast to guarantee you don't get "Stay unfrosty". Then swap if your group mate still needs the achievement as well. If you are replaying the instance for achievements, there is a brazier just as you enter the mission that you can light to teleport you to the boss, skipping all the time-consuming fluff before. Might only work for characters that are replaying the story rather than playing it for the first time though. And then go in a third time for the time restricted one although it might be a bit harder to coordinate the charge directions.
  17. Don't necessarily discount WvW, it can be somewhat short and painless, depending on your progress n the PvE meta achievement. And you'll need a Gift of Battle anyway so it's not like you can completely get around WvW so the following will be good to know if you don't already. Unless or even if your server is hopelessly losing you'll probably be able to encounter so called "karma trains", especially in morning hours that basically just PvE the hell out of WvW by just flipping all the objectives. Get your guild hall boost, pop a celebration booster, XP booster (if you have one; WvW is pretty much the only place they're worth using), get the enrichment for amulets and reward track progress can get seriously fast. With some luck there will be another WvW event for alliance testing soon(tm) for extra gains. The way reward track gains work is that you gain nothing for the first skirmish timer running out after you join WvW and then whenever it times out depending on your participation. That is why extended sessions are usually more efficient as with smaller sessions you will often "waste" the first couple minutes without getting reward track progress and those karma trains are just the best for ramping up your participation fast and racking in a lot of progress in one session. 2h of karma train with all the boosts mentioned above (minus the event one) would sum up to nearly 8000 points or 40% of a reward track. So overall roughly 5h of pretty chill content for one reward track if you can find out when karma trains happen on your server and you're available for them. Participation stays over multiple sessions so basically wait until you get the next reward and then log off to conserve your time at max participation. WvW dailies also go a very long way in saving you time as often there will be easy dailies like Master of Monuments, Big Spender, Land Claimer, Mist Guard Killer, Veteran Creature Slayer and Caravan Disruptor that don't depend much on player cooperation and can be very quickly finished while netting you a sizeable amount of WvW reward track potions. One potion is 1.25% progress and some of the dailies even reward two of them and you obviously have the benefit of finishing your dailies for gold as well.
  18. Thief pistol 5. Also Thief Harpoon Gun 3. And Weaver sword 2 has it reversed with doing the finisher before creating the field. Projectile finishers counting would require 0 investment into any boon duration or skills otherwise with mortar 1 being a 100% projectile finisher. Or it gets nerfed which none wants just so scrapper gets a bandaid over a broken mechanic. No, better they rework the entire scrapper for the 5th time (or whatever, I might have lost count). While functional in instanced PvE group content, basically none is happy with this mechanic outside of it and adding more finisher types won't make it balanced or fun.
  19. This already didn't make it to the notes on the balance preview stream. The preview threads were posted way in advance and then just moved into the visible forums so this is just something they had axed before preview stream but never updated in the threads. Imo it would have been a good change because wells are pretty much dirt now if you don't need precog for whatever weird reason.
  20. You can, but soulbound items can only be used by the character they are soulbound to and that includes crafting. That means if you soulbind a 24/28 bag to a character, ONLY that character can upgrade them. If they don't have the crafting disclipline levelled that means you either have to invest extra so that character learns the crafting discipline - which seems redundant, you already have it levelled on the one you originally crafted it with! Or you never upgrade them again. In my case, my ele is my tailor and I crafted some 24 bags for my ranger because I used to like the bags that take crafting materials first which are tailor exclusive. After soulbinding the bags to my ranger who is my Huntswoman/Artificer, my ele can no longer upgrade the bags, only my ranger can, meaning I would have to dump 16g extra just to get tailor to 400 on my ranger to upgrade those bags further. And I can obviously not give them to another character even if I wanted to.
  21. There are very few classes in the game able to go true ranged and elementalist specifically plays more as a mid- to closerange spec. Staff as a ranged weapon exists but realistically if you try to place your AoEs on enemies at range they'll just run at you out of those (unless ranged too) and you'll deal very little damage. It's still a good weapon when playing together with others but for soloplay it's a bit meh. One major trick for elementalist is that you can switch attunement during cast without interrupting the cast. So you could cast long casting skills like Meteor Shower or Drake's Breath and then already switch after starting the cast so you can go back into that attunement earlier as the cooldown starts on swap.
  22. Map exploration has no or only low replayability. It is also very easy and not time intense, especially for the kind of achievement you mentioned because it requires no hearts, no PoIs, no vistas, just poking your nose into each broad area of the map. And you also have to adjust those numbers: Only 32% of accounts finished EoD story compared to 69% for PoF and 65% for HoT. That means against the playerpool that actually played EoD, 7.3% players completed KO CM - which is a lot compared to the amount of people that completed the skiff or jade bot races on about any EoD map on any significant rank and still more than people caring about avid fishing achievements. The game needs both the light and easy aspects and hard/replayable content to test your mettle against. Although in my opinion mostly a major brushup on the story telling and map interactivity as they are by far the most hurting for EoD (map) replayability. As much as people hate on LS2 for nothing happening, I'd play that 10 times over before setting a foot into EoD story again.
  23. They're mostly not too bad, pretty easy I would even say. You always have the option to go through PvP/WvW reward tracks to get the corresponding armor items that are the reward for the meta achievement so if one meta achievement seems particularly insufferable it's certainly an option. Note that especially Head of the Snake has a lot of hidden achievements that all count towards the meta achievement so you may be able to cut corners on that one a lot more than apparent from the visible achievement list by referencing the wiki.
  24. I know you can hide the content guide via arcdps, haven't experienced what you're describing though. Then again, I normally don't go around quitting stories either.
  25. It's only a cool brag if you take a photo of your smartphone taking a photo of your screen.
