  1. The point is there are mobility options added to the classes not the classes are more mobile because these options. Ele has 1 skill in the entire spec weapon of 24 skills, 5 utility skills, and all the traits that add mobility and it’s still less than you’d see with any weapon except scepter which is long range
  2. Ele spec cataclysm. Focused on fast paced explosive, chaotic damage. Gives the ele access to longbow, torment, and confusion. The attunements work like holoforge and when you swap you build chaotic energy until you unleash an eruption based on your final attunement.
  3. In sPvP whether you take the soothing power trait or not soothing mist will heal only 50% of what it claims to. Test it out.

  5. Its 1/4. Without quickness you traverse more distance in the buildup to air 4 by walking than by using the skill.
  6. Not even joking here. Core war is undisputed the best form of warrior in the game for every category. Axe/axe with balanced stance is the best team fighter for warrior by far, it wins duels vs most of the meta (willbender, dps cata, untamed, vindicator, power specter, power virt, herald, stalls mechanist). It fits quite snug in the current meta where bladesworn and spell breaker do not due to their lack of damage.

  9. I never said it wasn’t fun or powerful. I’ve been saying the opposite for a while now. What I did say was it is not transformative, it does not keep up with the mobility creep, and it does not have built in sustain or barrier or defenses from traits. You did not disagree with any of this, but mentioned the elite weapon instead.

Traits that enable unblockable skills: Warrior Mesmer Classes that gained barrier output through traits: Ranger Warrior Classes that saw general improved sustain/defenses: Ranger Engineer Guardian Necromancer Warrior Revenant Thief Mesmer Classes with mechanics that transform the player's playstyle greatly: Ranger Engineer Guardian Necromancer Warrior Revenant Thief Mesmer For me personally cata just feels like core ele with boons with no added defenses no added mobility no added sustain no added damage and is only run because it finally has stability and quickness... most ele builds rely on conjures to even have any impact, and then it is still very high risk gameplay whereas no other classes really have any high risk gameplay involved... not to mention in terms of sPvP the only things that are viable is dagger focus and hammer. No staff. Offhand dagger is also a throw. No scepter. This chokes build diversity.
  11. I am a pvp and wvw player. I do not care about pve balance. Why would water siphons and earth barrier matter in pvp where there is always a pocket healer? @Ganathar.4956

  13. (RELEVANT SPECIFICALLY TO PVP/WVW BALANCE) No damage build for the past 7 years has had earth or water unless it was core which used water. If there was some type of life siphon trait in water where you get added sustain and damage and some type of barrier trait in earth or maybe vigor in earth (or both) I’m sure there would be viable damage builds containing those two.
  14. I tested this in sPvP not sure about the rest of the game but soothing mist will only proc the first 2 times out of 4 intervals making it heal only half as much as it advertises. I tested how much overall heal it does over time and it’s 800/10s trusted with soothing power and 400/10s without it traited. Please fix.
  15. Virtuoso can beat every build on every class with maybe the exception of D/P daredevil
  16. I can’t think of a time when necro wasn’t meta or wasn’t run by every team in every AT/mAT
  17. Almost everything on staff is a 1 sec or longer cast time and nothing does damage on staff. The only truly good skill on staff is geyser. Also, gust was changed so it can hit more often but why does it still never hit my target?
  18. I disagree. The only auto lose classes are warrior and mesmer. Elementalist is at least A-tier and Ranger is the best class in the game by a bit.

For sPvP here is my perspective: Heals: S Tier: Signet of Restoration, New Augment heal A Tier: Glyph of Elemental Harmony, Tempest heal D tier or lower: Weaver heal (never seen play ever), Cantrip heal (dead skill, a worse version of new augment heal), Arcane heal (never seen play ever) Utility skills: S tier: Lightning Hammer, Earth shield, Signet of Air, Lightning flash, Fortified Earth, Primordial Stance, Unravel A Tier: Arcane Shield, Armor of Earth, Glyph of Renewal, Invigorating Air, Aftershock, Feel the Burn, D tier or lower: All arcane skills except shield, all signets except air, icebow and flame axe, cleansing fire and mist form, shattering ice and relentless fire, stone resonance, twist of fate, air and ice shouts. Elites: S-tier: Tornado A-tier: Weave Self, FGS D-tier all else Ele utilities are S.A.D. SAD!
