As wvw is crap in terms of gold/hour, it is adviseable to do pve for materials, gold, and the gift of exploration or maguuma (depending on the Legendary). Either buy gen1 from tp, or just buy the 50k mithril and wood you need for most Gen2 (Exordium included), but you still have to do the maguuma gift for it.

Runes were overhauled recently. Some runes are situational to use, others are far more widely used (eg scholar runes in pve dps builds).WvW is the one mode where you see more runes being used for many, many personal roaming/havoc builds. Plus legendary runes are in the making

OP, I have seen your vids duel, and I must say you just SPAM skills as soon as theyre off cd. I remember you using necro scepter 3 when opponent had no boons or condies on him, entering shroud for... Dunno why, and more. I am by no means an expert in 1vs1 in wvw, but I think holo along with soulbeast and power rev are among the top roaming builds out there at the moment. Incredible sustain, top mobility, reset fights to their advantage, especially against necro.

I don’t think much of anyone is saying they want it immediately. Rather people were thrown off but how much there is to do to get this mount. Honestly, quite a few people were expecting this to be Roller Beetle 2.0 or Griffon 2.0 in terms of acquisition and I was one of those people. I think if Anet was more transparent on how to get this mount, it wouldn’t have been as bad as it is now (sure, they would’ve had their heads bitten off by disgruntled players) and people would’ve had time to prepare for the long haul that is the Skyscale. I honestly do not get the "i want it here and now" mentality. I mean, some people had stocked mats, others didnt, it is always the same with how various new implementations of the game work. This is a game, it is meant to be fun, not a full time job. If it DOES feel like a chore/job, maybe... Take a small break?

Roaming was still fun before the mount, the mount just destroyed it completely. I used to log into wvw, and always found some small scale fight, the last weeks i just can’t find any decent fight anymore, besides blobbing.People just pass you by with the mount, and run to the tag. Roaming? It died long before mounts, with people either relying on broken permastealth/powercreep/disengage and retry builds, or they stick in packs of 5-10. Roaming.

First people whine about the timegate. Now its the farmgate. Then they rush content, then they whine there is no more content, dead maps. And the cycle repeats itself.

They could introduce a sink like materials boxes (just an example) like the ones you can buy with volatile magic or unbound magic. Would it break the economy? Maybe. Just a thought, tho.

You can dismount and fight them... On healele??? And you had trouble surviving as healele against... Thief? Really?

If YOU, as support FB can adapt, so can your reaper. Personally, when enemy boons are an issue, I switch to curses (scepter 3 with devouring darkness for mass corrupts), blood magic for more party sustain and lower well of corruption cd, axe 3 (if not running gs as reaper). Boons are ripped relatively fast this way. If single target booncorrupting is an issue (eg boss), corrupt boon is a utility i use.

You can convert them into badges of tribute and sell em on tp for 11-15s a piece.

You can also buy and open tot bags and wintersday gifts. They yield charged crystals too, rarely.

Btw if you really want the new sword, it is extremely easier to just craft it.

No veterans that I know of actually count their pips or their rank. Theyre done with max tickets by sunday. Low rank players should play the already semiafk fiesta which is called wvw, if they want their shinies.
