Game of Bones.8975
All of my characters have 5+ various 20-slot bags with none of them being the same (some have Invisible, Junk, or Mats Collection bags). Before the specialty bags came along I hid the bags and all was well. What are some of the Pros and Cons you have found, if in a similar situation and how did you resolve them. thehipone.6812
I keep bags hidden and have a couple regular bags, an olmakhan bandolier, junk bag, crafting mat bag and invisible, similar to your apparent situation. The benefit is that if I'm looking for a particular thing, I generally know where in the inventory window to look to find it and it takes up less space on screen. With bags shown I have some 32 slot bags that take up two rows each, but the second row is 6 or 8 slots only, so theres a lot of wasted viewable space on screen and it is just more scrolling down to the bottom with show bags on. With hide bags I can fit everything except maybe the last row of invisible bag (which I keep on bottom) on screen at once. The downside is that I don't know where each bag begins and ends. This is really only an issue with the invisible bag, where, for example, if the item is something like a stack of unid gear that you dont want salvaged then you need to be careful to be sure that it is in the invisible. I keep invisible bag in last slot so I know that if I drag something to the bottom then it is good. Only real advice is to keep a piece of unid blue, unid green, and unid yellow in the invisible bag at all times, then once the stack fills up you can open or sell and you won't accidentally salvage. Danikat.8537
I've never hidden bags, I find it more useful to keep them separated. For me it's partially because I use a couple of specialist bags (oiled bag for junk and an invisible bag for stuff I want to keep, both at the bottom) and also because I have my inventory relatively small - 5 squares across and 5 rows down and positioned above the chat box so I can have it open while playing if I need to and splitting it into bags makes it easier to keep track of where I am in it. Jukhy.2431
My inventory is combined into one big bag without hidden or special bags. Lower right corner is for various stacking things like luck essences, bloodstone dust etc. (I keep few of each in there so they will stack where I want them to) and bottom left is for foods, extra weapons etc. I also always sort/salvage/bank my loots to keep most of it free since I like it neat and tidy. Sobx.1758
For majority of characters I'm using non-hidden option because it helps me with sorting/grouping items in a more coherent manner, but there are a few characters where I prefer hiding the bags. For me it would be best if we could hide/show bags based on character instead of having it as an account-wide choice. 1
mungozen.2379
I prefer to not hide my bags. It is visually easier for me to see what’s in my bags by keeping them separate. Shared slots up top, open bag spaces in the middle and invis/storage bags at the bottom. I do not use compact either, since I like my bags sorted a specific way. And really I sometimes wonder if a single bag compacted would be easier but I don’t feel like retraining myself unless there is an obvious advantage.
Bookah pls.9352
I keep mine shown just for preferance and the previously mentioned very quick and easy navigating to a certain bag type location, but the amount of times i accidently click a bags title and hide the bag contents constantly makes me want to hide bags and just get used to it.
