Many people have been calling for more to-do lists, and since this game doesn't have quests in the classical way, achievements are the way the game presents tasks. 0-point achievements always give other rewards, so there is an incentive for people to do them. Will every individual feel like doing them? Probably not, but that isn't the point. I was so disappointed that there isn't an achieve for highest fall damage. Or highest damage to a white, harmless mob. There is an achievement for dealing a lot of damage to ambient creatures. The achievement is Master of Overkill.
