What will EoD be remembered for?

I remember when I got the cutscenes arriving in Cantha and the one when we arrive in New Kaineng and my character was all "woow", where clearly they think you're supposed to be amazed at the "beauty" of the region and I was like "nope, this looks awful".

First step to making Cantha look better, Remove every single battery on the ground and just remove that mechanic entirely. Remove workbenches as well and just ya know, let you use the thing wherever. And then, entirely re-design every zone so it actually looks as good as the MC says it is.

I wouldn't mind all the clipping and terrible issues Kaineng city has tbh if it actually looked good and we had  flying adventures so there would be some point to the useless giant walls besides existing as an excuse for ziplines to be a thing.

To me it went like this:

Core - bringing the GW1 lore forward in time, super enjoyable playing dynamic combat with the classic GW universe classes. Huge world to explore, quite fun pvp, dungeons were nice. In a nutshell -very solid experience fuelled with nostalgia and hopes for the future.

HoT - big spike in difficulty, exciting new concept of specialisations, complex maps, very cool mew legendary weapons, gliding and other bonus stuff, raids

PoF - of course mounts, nostalgic comeback to Elona, okay maps, in overall a chill experience, bit of a letdown after HoT though, more raids

EoD - interesting concept for new legendaries, comeback to cantha but much more disappointing than expected, some more strikes. There are bots etc. but they don’t really bring anything to the table.

All in all imho it brought the least out of all 4 games so far. It is more of a story/role play kind of expansion. It attempts to provide some repeatable endgame, however with mixed result, because if you don’t like strikes then you’re kind of left with nothing new. Same could be said on raids introduced by two previous expansions, however the time is not the devs’ friend here - the game has been out for a decade now.

my thought on EoD? Please unsummon it.

The only good speccs are Harbinger, Virtuoso and Specter with his Scepter. And also the maps are nice, also the turtle.

But the rest... put it away please. Everyone is playing the mechanist. Research notes was a bad idea, all the nerfs of it, bad for late-comers. Dragons End is a catastrophalia, I dont like that expension, the masteries are okayish but not very motivating.  It is not in the slightest for casuals, everything is difficult: Strikes, but also Open World. Too hard. Not motivating if that game is designed only for the best gamers in the world. To many requirements for an open World Event.

And besides that: Who invented the system with the Jade Bot Buff? That time stacking system is the greatest kitten here? Why not only +75 power/condidamage but directly 2hrs?

I will never pre-order a new expansion again. I am really disappointed and I dont want to play EoD at all. Fortunately I am stucked with my legendaries from the first 2 gen to keep me away from that expansion for a long time.
