asket.5674
Pretty much the title, not sure what should focus first, armor, trinkets/accessories/weapons. looking forward to your opinions, cheers
Sarius.9285
in terms of how "useful" they are, especially with multiple characters: Trinkets/Back Runes/Armor/Sigils Weapons ultimately this doesn't matter tho, and weapons are alot more fun to get/have than runes, etc. Edited January 2, 2023 by Sarius.9285
asket.5674
Thanks, very appreciated! And in terms of grindyness, what slots are the fastest?

The backpiece is the easiest, but it depends alot on which game mode you play, since a separate one is available in PvE, PvP, and WvW, all of which are about the same relative difficulty. Weapons are pretty easy if you limit yourself to the first generation (like Sunrise). Its mostly just a gold sink, especially since you can buy the precursors off the Trading Post and skip the questlines to craft them entirely, though you still need multiple crafting levelled to 400. Armor is an okay grind, but requires you to play raids in PvE, which isn't everyone's cup of tea. You can also get it from PvP and WvW just like the backpiece. Accessories are PvE only and an intense, extreme grind, perhaps the most difficult in the game. Rings currently come from WvW (or one from raids), and just require playing alot. The amulet is extremely easy in PvE, just needing you to play story and some metas, but its very long and you need to be able to devote alot of time to it, It may take up to seveeral weeks or even several months of casual play to obtain it. There's also an amulet available from PvP. Runes and sigils aren't too difficult but are time gated by Provisioner's Tokens. This means it can take up anywhere from a few months to half a year to obtain a full set, and are PvE only. --- So basically, I would start on the amulet (Prismatic Champion's Regalia) while you also work on a backpiece (Fractals), while also buying a few time-gated Provisioner's Tokens every day, and maybe start questing for a weapon precursor in the background. Multitasking is the best approach. Getting the amulet will also eliminate alot of the requirements for the accessories and Skyscale mount. Ah the last paragraph is very interesting, as getting skyscale is already on my agenda. Thanks m8!

Don't forget to start the Skyscale and Aurora/Vision collections first so you don't need to repeat a lot of stuff (specially the 2 very hard Jumping Puzzles), collections and certain skins will be given retroactively, but events and monster kills won't. Let's say you complete the Chalice of Tears for Champion Regalia but you don't have the Aurora Collection active at the time, you won't receive progress and will have to complete it again, depends on how you view or like JP's, but it's better to do it just once and get everything, it's an annoying one even with Commanders porting or Blish Hud/Taco trails. 2
DarcShriek.5829
The amulet is cheap if you have the living story chapters. Could take a while to get through all those chapters though.

Is it worth to get the position rewinder for that jps?

It's worth getting the position rewinder, period. That thing is great once you start using it (and not only to farm daily chests in Bjora Marches). Otherwise, Mariyuuna.6508 suggestion is spot on and Brandon Uzumaki.1524 suggestion to unlock the trinket collections adds well to it. If there is anything I would add it's: 1. Don't rush things. 2. If you are working on multiple legendaries at once, the pay-off will be later, but the overall workload/investment will be less than going one at a time. 3. Make sure to enjoy what you are doing or you WILL burn out. Weave in activities which you enjoy, even if they have nhothing to do with legendary items (rare, given almost everything will build wealth and wealth can be converted into materials) Edited January 3, 2023 by Cyninja.2954 4

I am currently enjoying playing the storyline and doing some achievements on the road that look funny. So i guess i will have fun hunting achievs 🙂
Drarnor Kunoram.5180
I do recommend going for the PvE amulet as the tasks you need to complete both overlap with tasks needed for Vision and Aurora (legendary trinkets), and give rewards that can be used to craft Vision and Aurora. Ad Infinitum (the PvE backpiece) does require being able to do T4 fractals, so be aware it does actually have a gear commitment to obtain, but it also is actually profitable to go for (you'll get more gold in the process of obtaining it than you're likely to spend on it). ZeftheWicked.3076
Armor first.Trinkets have a "budget legendary option" with bloodstone trinket set (stat swappable amulet, rings and backpack). Additionally armor provides two big benefits over trinkets - one being actual armor - you need that to not be squishy. Other being ability to add/remove upgrades (that means runes) without destroying them. Runes are big. You don't want to lose them every time you want to try a different build. You can use black lion salvage kit when you upgrade from exotic. It 100% gives back runes and you should get the from daily logins. It destroys the exotic but those are practically free anyway. Otherwise it really depends on what content you like to play and how many alts you have. Trinkets have great value if you have many alts. Yeah ascended trinkets are quite easy to come by but once you have many alts with different gear setups they are probably the best value. If you play pvp, legendary backpack is the fastest. Weapons vary. Something like an axe can be super useful as many classes and build use it while warhorn might not be the most used. Also fashion. Armour is the biggest commitment and exotics are very easy to come by.

Armour is the biggest commitment and exotics are very easy to come by. Both these points are moot given the thread subject. This is legendary gear discussion. If my armor point is bad than fair enough, here's a better one: Trinkets give stats and nothing else, but are always there for you. Fair. But 4 outta 6 have easy to get stat swappable alternatives (bloodstone trinkets) and two less easy to get and bit more costly to stat reset accessories (mist accessories). But these still offer close enough to legendary functionality (upgrades not destroyed, stats that can be reset with a special consumable item you carry with you) Armors don't have it so good in the non-legendary department. Stat swapping is done by reforging in mythic forge, so no option to do it in the field, you gotta prepare several items for it, upgrades (runes!) will be destroyed in the process, and some stat combinations require getting materials that aren't cheap or easy to get (think insignia for Plaguedoctor, Seraph, Zealot stats). Meanwhile legendary armor rids you of all that, while always providing maximum stat value. Oh btw did I forget to mention transmutations (reskinning) is free on legendary? For those of us who don't spend days in spvp that might be another good reason to go armor first..
