Annihilator.2617
I have completed "Torn from the sky" and want to start "Establishing Foothold" but It says that I have to get glinding before to start. I have one HoT masterie point, but does not have enough HoT experience to get glinding. How to get remaining Experience?

Sephylon.4938
same way you would normally level, but only while in hot zones. Make sure you have the proper mastery selected in your hero panel.

Urud.4925
When you play in Verdant Brink (and in the other Maguuma maps that you will discover - I don't tell you how many, to not spoiler), your exp bar should change as shown in this screenshot.Make sure to select gliding (you should see the same green icon on the bottom right of your screen)
Biff.5312
Doing events is probably the fastest way. Find something going on and join in. This also has the benefit of playing in a group rather than trying to solo the content, which can be hard in HoT.

This also has the benefit of playing in a group rather than trying to solo the content, which can be hard in HoT.This is key. Unlike what you've seen in the core Tyria maps, HoT is very different. You regularly come across Veteran level mobs, often with some normal level mobs as backup, and many a time when you engage a Hero Point node, a Champion level mob will appear to eat your lunch. Grouping up in HoT, or at least trying to hang around other players, is more important now.Thankfully GW2 has an awesome community, so if you ever need help, or have a question about how to get from "here" to "there", don't be shy and ask in /map. Anyone who has spent any time in HoT remembers how difficult the zones are, and are very willing to help. Thankfully things get a bit easier in the next expansion, Path of Fire. You could also consider your gear choices as you play in HoT, especially if you are solo. Most people run full DPS stats (Power / Precision / Ferocity) which was fine in core Tyria, but in HoT things hit harder, and you see a lot more conditions dumped on you. Nothing wrong with changing up your great to add more +Vitality and +Toughness. This can be done easily just by swapping out the Runes you are using in your armor. I personally like Rune of the Dolyak (https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Superior_Rune_of_the_Dolyak ), and while your damage may take a hit, you'll have a bit more of a cushion to your HP's until you get used to the jump in difficulty. They only cost a few silver each off the trading post.

A handful silver for a set of runes, and look through your traits for stunbreaks and other defensive options. Easy to tweak back when you're comfortable and waaaaay less of an investment than switching armour, weapons or trinkets!
