XenesisII.1540
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Arrow_CartAn arrow cart is an area denial siege weapon that fires a spread of arrows with a maximum range of 2,500 units and an AoE target cap of 25. They are most effective against players and NPCs and can deal some damage to other siege weapons and gates, but deal no damage against walls.https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Siege_GolemSiege Golems are large asuran golems that act as siege weapons in WvW. Siege golems move slowly and can be used as a battering ram, allowing the pilot to knock down doors and gates in addition to attacking enemies. The golem is the only siege weapon that is mobile. What's the problem here?
steki.1478
Golems make breaching keeps easier. Once enemy is inside you still have all freedom to cloud around them and build as much siege as you want. Golems are useless once the walls are down. apharma.3741
Condition damage builds also chew through golems like a hot knife through buttered chocolate fireguards. If you have 6+ Acs on all points of offence to a keep then you made your own grave, there's only 2 options open to people to attack now: Golems, trebs. The latter is super boring and as fun as watching paint dry, the former isn't much better but at least you can live long enough to maybe drain supply from a keep. DaFishBob.6518
Well at some point, even a T3 keep should be able to fall. There's nothing fun about watching a server with 24 hour coverage bring all their keeps to T3 the first day and then just sit on it for the entire match up. At that point, might as well just make matches last for 1 day since keep capture may show up as a daily and no one would be able to complete it. It's better if the T3 keep can fall so that the next day there's actually something to do.

If you're outnumbered, the worst thing to see is catapults + shield generators with rotated bubbles because there is no way to stop that.Omegas cannot be easily condi'd down without an attacking force of reasonable size. Without it zergs and other golems just cleanse. Only use for Omegas is to provide a meat shield against the objectivess defended by 1000000001 siege weapons. If anything they should be stronger since attacking t3 keeps is like punishment for sins commuted in past lives, I think. Nerfing them would make attacking keeps impossible. This is true but this setup requires organization. Typically a bunch of pugs don't rotate shields well enough to prevent counters. Also disable the shield gens by a thief pretty much stops this attack right in its tracks. This can be vulnerable to a well placed defensive shield gen as well. A large organized force can certainly counter but it isn't like they aren't going to have to work for it.
Riba.3271
Supply:Omegas require lot of supply thus even if you own unupgraded sidekeep on enemy bl, you will only be able to build max 4. Lot of times its just better to build 12 guild golems and then build shield gens.On home bl naturally you should have advantage regarding supply thus its normal to have 6+ golemsReflects:Omegas can be reflected, this makes things like Ventari rev, firebrand f3 tome, Ele focus 4, Shield gens, Smoke screen, Corrosive poison cloud useful against them. Obviously you won't be using these skills from the wall rather taking the portal and dropping it, then going back in (it's not that hard).Disablers, Supply trapsYea, use themBuildsWvW requires fighting after all, what are you doing on walls hiding with 15 players against 30? You have claim buff, respawn, portals, gliding, range advantage. The only people on the walls should be the few players on the acs/shield gens. Rest should be down there poking the enemy to death. You even have first bubble cuz your warrior can just push from the portal. If you can't beat 30 players with 15 at friendly T3 objective, the enemy is just way better than you. And at this point you will work on your build or log to PvP and improve.PlayersSo how to get players:Get a tag upPost it on teamchat with positive attitude "Come save eb keep, easy bags!"Use server discord/community guild chat. The key here is that as it is friendly objective, they can just hop to def for 5 min and go back to crafting or whatever they were doing. Sarrs.4831
Basic projectile destruction - stuff like CPC - will destroy Omega missiles. Firebrand bubbles, feedbacks, CPCs, Winds of Disenchantment; all that stuff will hard counter Omegas.
dzeRnumbrd.6129
15 people defending successfully against 30 via siege wars is a far greater evil than 30 people wiping 15 players that defend with PvP and strategy .

He appeared for 1s, took one shot, then vanished before we could get any damage in. 3-4s later he appeared in another location, took one shot and vanished again. He literally repeated that from 100% to destroyed. There was nothing we could do to stop him. He couldnt kill us - the times he engaged in straight combat earlier he died. But he didnt need to. He got the cata down before the wall.Doing that to an Omega golem however... Wouldnt that take like 15 minutes, lol.

Add the fact I normally disable as well, and you can really annoy a pretty large group by yourself atm. To be fair, I may have been shooting alphas, I don't use golems enough to really notice or care. My objective is to get them sufficiently annoyed that they leave the golem to hunt me, then kill the driver.
