Stunbreaks and Condi-Removals should be deleted

If you have failed to dodge incoming stun ,

you must get punishment for making mistake

(block , dodge , evade , teleport , stealth , or whatever - you must avoid it before it hits you)

after it already hit you , you should not be able to break out of stun (all kinds of control effects)

you should not be able to undo what is already done

If you have failed to dodge incoming condition infliction ,

you must get punishment for making mistake

(block , dodge , evade , teleport , stealth , or whatever - you must avoid it before it hits you)

after it already hit you , you should not be able to remove conditions

you should not be able to undo what is already done

This game is too merciful

You should die for making a mistake

GW 2 gives you too many jailbreak cards

GW 2 lets you make many mistakes and still survive

In GW2 ,

You fail to dodge stun

it's okay

You can break out of stun

In GW2 ,

You fail to dodge incoming condis

it's okay

You can remove condis

This is very bad design

Look at other PvP games

You should be punished for making mistakes

You must anticipate incoming attacks

and block , dodge , evade , teleport , stealth , or whatever

If you fail to do so , you must get punishment

After it hits you , you should not be able to break out of it

Stunbreaks and Condi-Removals should be deleted from this game

Most stunlocks apply skill in this game have very fast cast time. Remeber Warr headbutt before nerf. Necro Reaper #5 is slow but is AoE.in the majority of PvP games, stunlocks chains is for some specific classes(almost a "CC specialist"), single target and slow cast animation.

Condition spam fest nor deserves a mention. As my main in Pvp usually revolves around a condition reaper I would find it funny to use the signet of spite, plaguelands, epidemic, all AoE condition spam fest and insta kill 5.,

Thank you for bringing this up

Auto Proc Trait is the worst mechanic in any PvP game

Auto Proc Trait rewards the player for making mistakes instead of punishing the player for making mistakes

One example =

Tempest Defense - You get Shocking Aura when you get stunned

  1. Herald uses CC on Tempest
  2. The Tempest makes mistake and fails to dodge incoming CC
  3. The CC procs the Auto Proc Trait, Tempest Defense - Shocking Aura
  4. The Herald gets stunned by the Shocking Aura
  5. Result = The Herald got punished for successfully landing CC , and the Tempest got rewarded for failing to dodge incoming CC

This Auto Proc Trait rewards the Tempest for making a mistake instead of punishment

This is just one example , but there so many Traits that rewards the player for making mistakes instead of punishing the player for making mistakes

Like I said above ,

You must anticipate incoming attacks

and block , dodge , evade , teleport , stealth , or whatever

If you fail to do so , you must get punishment

Auto Proc Traits reward you for making mistakes

Auto Proc Traits should be deleted from this game

I did a quick research on a popular PvP game

There are 113 different characters in this popular PvP game

Out of 113 different characters , only 1 character has stunbreak/condi remove

Out of 113 different characters , there are over 70 characters that can stun or apply condition effects or apply similar effects

There are over 500 different skills in this popular PvP game

Out of 500 different skills , there is only 1 skill that lets you break out of stun or remove condi

Out of 500 different skills , there are over 100 skills that can stun or apply condition effects or apply similar effects

^ And how many evades/blocks/invuln does have per character that game?

Your request is insane: some of the strongest stuns/dazes from GW2 are instant cast, and in a x vx skirmishes there's 0 chances to prevent them to happen, or come from stealthed foes. Do you want the game to be played only by thieves and mesmers?

Ever faced the burn guard little pharaoh? Yeah that's my burn guard and anyone who has will agree that he can really set some shit on fire

Idk about you, but I dont think anyone wants to face him without condi removal due to the fact that.........well........30k burn stacks are fun for only me

Lastly this thread was dumb asf because all that would happen is that one team will target the absolute weakest person on the other team and spam him

He only has 2 evades. Theres 5 people per team. He can only dodge two attacks (some abilities in this game hit hard asf with no warning) he dodge two attacks from 2 people, what does he do about the other 5?

Pvp more before making threads like this because you obviously haven't played in high tier where everyone already dies fast as kitten

As bizarre as that sounds it actually kind of works. if you ever played Tera-rising pvp at a high level, every class can evade every 2 seconds or so and most also have a counter attack or long lasting spammable frontal block skill. Some classes can even block infinitely and have no cooldown or energy penalty for doing so. But getting hit with a single stagger means you are losing 50% hp at least.

makes me think of BDO, and chaining super armour and iframes. some classes can literally be unable to be be cc'd if you time if right.

gw2 really doesn't have enough evades for this tho. since there are no diminishing returns on cc stunbreaks are needed imo.

also condi is designed around condi clear. so like removing one breaks the other.

basically gw2 is not designed for this.
