Melee weapon range

Decided to check weapon ranges for melee weapons and they're all 130. Is there a consistency reason for this or something? A greatsword having the same range of a dagger is weird.

I would say it's relative to the Hit Box. You also can't judge using the Greatsword as full melee then you would have to explain the Mesmer.

Mesmer greatsword is not a melee weapon. Nor is revenant hammer.

This, not to mention the added difference in character sizes as well as race models.A giant norn with a Greatsword or Hammer would always be preferred over an Asura with a Dagger if that was the case.It'll likely cause a lot of unnecessary arguing and discrimination against certain builds, classes and races.

That's my point, it can vary depending on the class wielding it.

Not sure if this is what you mean, but on my Necro, axe auto attack range is 900..

Daggers and other lower range weapons would have to be balanced to make up for the range loss so every fight against say gs isn't in the gs user's favor considering the already difficult time the team has with balance I think it's better as is lol

I wouldnt have an issue with greatswords having greater reach if it had its effectiveness reduced against foes who manage to get inside that reach.
