  1. I really want the HoT beta version of Grace of the Land back. A stacking buff that reduces incoming condition damage (5 stacks â 4%). With a 10 player cap it also offers some utility in WvW.Yes that would likely kill druid in PvE but they only reason it exists there is easy might stacking and low healing requirements. Everything else can be brought by Soulbeast or other classes.
  2. No one will do it if there are no specific rewards, at least not enough people to warrant the developing effort. Fractal t1, t2 and t3 are populated because they have the potential to give same drops as t4 and CMs, but even then, guess which tier gets the most LFG posts? People will always try to maximize their profit and play the content at what level gives the most drops, even if they supposedly aren't ready for it (again, fractals are a great example of this - t4 can be a pain to pug). This is just how people work, and Anet is better off working on "normal mode" itself. But then again, this topic has been done in this forum, over and over and over again. MINOR EDIT: there are a dozen unique skins, auras and a couple currencies only available to fractal CMs, but do not let this detract you from the point, that is, a player can still get all the major drops from fractals such as golden weapons by playing up to t3, it's just a massive effort that even justifies an inexperienced player going straight to t4's so that said player can have an easier time with rewards and a harder time with the encounters. t4s have more populated LFG, cus people learned fractals trough tiers and now doing t4s+CMs. Unlike raid's LFG that only has raid seller ads. The quality of PUGs really diminished since Wing 5 hit and many people just run with statics or friends now. If we don't have enough guild members online for a raid evening we always check all friendlists from everyone in the squad before we even consider using the LFG.
  3. Scrapper is already really good in WvW and PvP. Giving it access to either Alacricy or Quickness would make them absolutely ridiculous in those modes. Not every spezialistation has to be good in PvE. Some are just build more suited for PvP and that's fine. Teleporting downed people to the group is much better than range revive. You can get them out of mechanics they died to, e.g. wells at Matthias, and have more people revive them at the same time. People don't improve when you can heal them through anything. They just learn that their healers just iron out every mistake they make.
  4. There were a lot of builds that were crit-capped without spotter before the last balance patch. The reason why druid is still in the meta is the combination of Chrono, spirits, easy might stack and low healing requirements. Spotter is just a bonus.
  5. The last boss of wing 7 is around wing 5 & 6 complexity wise. Single points of failure doesn't make a boss complex. Given the fact that people of my old - more casually oriented - guild already cleared all CMs in the new wing the 2nd day (1st day was clearing normal mode) contradict that. You know, complexity is not the same as difficulty. The fact that failing to reach a green at Dhuum wipes the group instead of e.g. doing damage to all reapers doesn't make it more complex but more difficult. So you are telling me that Ben wasn't the one focussing on balancing stuff in raids & fractals? And we know of two additional members of the raid team that left. If I'm speaking about raid developers I mean those individuals who tweak the balance a.k.a. difficulty not the graphical surroundings, music or anything else unrelated. The fact that he was present during the whole W4 development proves that he did not that much in terms of balance as you want to make it appear. Pugs who fail Deimos are trash not really competent players. There's nothing hard at Deimos. If you want to make it ubersafe there are 3 people who need to know the boss: the tank, the hand kiter and the black kiter. Everyone else can still afk-range from the middle and get an easy LI. This tactic also is the best pug tactic because even if all pug players have a gazillion of LIs somebody is definitely going to step into a black and make the group wipe. Can compare those people to the ones dying in poison fields of Tequatl. That still doesn't change that fact that there are a lot of pugs around that don't do Deimos. And W7B3 needs more coordination that Deimos.
  6. The last boss of wing 7 is around wing 5 & 6 complexity wise. Single points of failure doesn't make a boss complex. Also developer != designer. They have almost nothing to do with balancing the content. They said the new wing will be near wing 1 difficulty which they actually achieved. Ironically it can be an equivalent to wing 4 for pugs. Do everything except the endboss looks quite realistic. A lot of pugs are still afraid of Deimos. A crucial thing that many players won't understand is that you can't design real challenging content for the top 5% without locking out everyone else in GW2. Content in other games only appears hard at release because vertical progression not because the content is actually hard from a number/mechanic standpoint. Give top guilds BiS equipment in WoW and bosses fall at the same rate as in GW2.
  7. This is what is happening when people just like the complain and don't do five seconds of research. The wizard has a chance to spawn at the start of the defense event. That is happening for years now.
  8. There are stone plates near the barrier on the outside. Those can be used only to read the verses you have already unlocked. So, they are useless as far as achievement goes. This is what you asked for.Of course it helps with the achievement. You can skip reading them during the event and just unlock as fast as possible and read it afterwards. If you are only interested in AP then it won't help...
  9. Only 500 days for a single gen2 or gen 2.5. You also get 2 or so g from dailies so thats 250 days. Unfarmable item. If everyone is buying them, the demand outstrips the supply thus price goes up. economy 101 You have guaranteed access to 625 Mystic Coins a year.260 coins from daily logins (20 coins per 28 day cycle repeated 13 times per year)1 coin per day for defeating the Leg Ley Line Anomaly.Add the WvW ones too as they are also guaranteed. That is another 312 per year for a total of 937 guranteed Mystic Coins a year per account.
  10. If what you're selling is going down in price, while what you're buying is going up(because it's literally unfarmable), there is an issue. Mystic coins are an issue because you cannot farm them. The price is completely fine. Also you can farm them. Leyline-Anomaly and WvW chests are reliable sources of coines. Fractal dailies and 99/100 cm can also award them.
  11. No one is denied the ability to play. There's not a single meta that can't be done when new maps open, unless people arrive after the start time. Sometimes, perhaps often, people on the new map spend too much time trying to get into other maps, instead of starting an LFG for their own. https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/bx5o69/elonian_metas_one_week_later_community_thoughts/ spinalcloudRe: Casino Blitz - I believe this is correct. Both overflow and new maps are locked out of the meta. Seems you are wrongOverflow maps can deny you certain events that can give you a hero's choice chestThe Overflow map doesn't deny you the reward. You showing up late deny yourself the reward. Completey different situation and absolutely fine. The events starts and if nobody does it, it fails. That is true for all meta events with event chains.
  12. The fact that the game is still running without an easy mode, forums are a very small percentage of players and low level fractals are effectively dead outside of recommended dailys and legendary collections shows that the poll is useless. The other games have vertical progression and offer character development above dungeon quality in difficulties the target audience would normally play. That is a major pull effect for replayability that GW2 can't offer. In GW2 everything is about rewards and if you scale the easy mode rewards with content equal in open world, nobody will play it more than once. Which are actually wasted ressources with content at that scale with the current development.
  13. As you can aquire some raids skins from the new raid during the release week in open world, we have another hint that easy modes won't happen in the forseeable future.
  14. You keep doing you then. It's not like there's precedent from ANet now from their previous title and this one stating that they aren't going to change their endgame content's difficulty no matter how much people complain or anything.Yes, it is possible they will do exactly that, and not bother to adjust it before they'll stop paying attention to it. I f you haven't noticed, i did mention that possibility. They'd probably need to at the very least make an alternate PvE legendary armor option before they'll do that, though. It looks like they actually change raid releases with the next one. We get an open world area that could be used as an introduction for the boss mechanics. Which should be enough as an easy mode. I have no idea what it actually looks like though so that is pure speculation on my side.
  15. Most likely just the preparation of a new Elite Specialisation. But druid needs finally buffs for PvP. Just put Celestial Shadow and Druid's Clarity in master traits instead of one being adapt trait and almost all complains from early HoT and after are fixed. Then we can buff accordingly. Also buffs for all pets as druid pets are weaker anyway now.
  16. No, we can't Showing only one picture is pretty useless as evidence as we need a comparison with different colors.I have this gauntless and can dye the flames.
  17. This is a really good point. One of the great strengths of gw2 is that it offers a variety of rewards that require different types of assets to unlock. So there are things for ppl who want to spend a lot, who want to invest a lot of time, who want to do competitive content or 'high-end' pve things, even rng-only items are great. All of these different means of acquisition are good for the game bc it emphasizes that having all the things isn't the goal. The point is to do the things you like and then enjoy whatever rewards follow . . . What makes the new mount not quite fall into that category is that it is story related, and anet has made clear that story-related content is intended for everyone. Happily, they created no obstacle to that in this case, which is why I continue to be mystified by the complaints about it. The highest hurdle to overcome in this collection is just access to all the LS4 maps, and I haven't really seen anyone complain about that at all . . . Actually one of the great strenghts was that you are able to pick your way to do it... not being forced to do specific grinds. (Play the way you want...remember?)When will people finally use this sentence as it was meant to be? It was never about specific rewards. We had dungeon skins from release that required specific dungeons and nobody complained about it. But it comes always up when people reeeally want specific rewards and don't want to do the requirements...
  18. The result would have been similar. People who watched the stream would have immediately changed the value of trade-able materials on the TP. We would be in a similar situation as with the Superior Sigil of Nullification and the Requiem armor (which surprise surprise has dropped significantly since its introduction). Now one could argue that they could have hinted at requirements for Living World Season 4 materials, since those do take a few days to farm. Or at the very least let people know at the beginning of the collection to start saving (would have made the time-gates actually useful). Then we have precedent though for needing before hand hints and information. Then the issue becomes: what should and what shouldn't be told, etc. etc. The two points I think they absolutely should have made beforehand are 1) It will take you around a week to unlock the Skyscale, and 2) a heads-up about the requirements for the saddle. No need to potentially spoil things by revealing too much, but enough to say 'you have a few days before the patch drops, start prepping.' They kinda did imply that all maps are needed. They gave away all 5 episodes for free before releasing Episode 6. Also there was Aurora and the chance that something similiar will happen at the end of this season. And why should they have any interest that players burn through content and leave quickly afterwards?
  19. Either the food OR do the jumping puzzles. Not both. You don't need a single quartz for the forth collection. You don't need to do any jumping puzzle. Extra-Pungent Skyscale Treat lets you skip all of them. One for each. Can people actually start informing themselves before raging atleast? Nobody forces you to get the mount. You force yourself through this and blame ArenaNet.
  20. Because they learned from other MMOs that free flying mounts are actually bad for the game.
  21. And this is why we can't have nice things. It was pretty clear that map currencies will be required after the massive collections showed that the Skyscale is the equivalent to Aurora from LS3.Also the vendor in Dragonfall sells Map 1-5 currencies for 20 Magic each. You want ANet to communicate more but rage at every occassion. MMORPG communities continue to be the worst with developer communication.
  22. When do you think did it say that? Also "eating" for an elder dragon is corrputing the land, so saying that they are completely emtpy now makes no sense. The story is 3 days old. Use spoiler tags...
  23. Because the Skyscale is the Season Final collection as Aurora was for LS3 which also required access to all maps.
  24. Yes, PUG raiding can be annoying. What exactly prevents you from joining a guild or a semi static or a discord server? Raids were not designed to be PUGed, the fact that they can be already speaks to their ease. THIS! How can a community be so stubborn and ignore this fact.Raids where never designed for pugging. You also miss out the most fun part of that mode, learning a boss as a group (preferable with people you like = guild/static).But somehow PPL that join PUG raids for the loot get annoyed by PPL who join PUG raids for the loot, who would have thought.People got trained over the years in other MMORPGs that all content needs to be doable with PUGs. Doesn't matter if the content can provide this out of the box or if difficulty scales are needed. But everything needs to be pugable with success and minor knowledge or it isn't 'accessible'.
